  • This study shows the results on thermal performance test with domestic solar collector for low-temperature applications using KS, then reveals the efficiency difference between KS and EN standard. Using the test results, this study Presents the status of thermal performance with domestic solar collector including flat-plate, single evacuated, and double evacuated (with mirror or U-tube) solar collector.

  • A long-term energy system in the future is expected to be based on the ideal circulation system between water and hydrogen in the sense that the hydrogen prepared from water eventually returns to water again after its use. Currently, with respect to the hydrogen energy system, it is predicted that the turning-point at which the production cost of hydrogen will become to be lower than that of fossil fuels would be after 2010. However, fuel cell technology would be able to be practically used for the applications to the transportation vehicles and small-scale power sources from 2004, and therefore, an efficient construction of the infrastructure covering hydrogen production and supply systems would be required with short-/mid-term technologies for the $CO_2$ reduction associated with fossil fuel utilization. In this paper, the hydrogen quantity available in domestic market has been estimated focusing on the hydrogen by-produced from domestic industries, and also the infrastructure for hydrogen-driven vehicles like fuel cell cars has been reviewed.

  • 우리나라는 여가시간의 확대와 국민소득 향상으로 인하여 해양레저활동에 대한 관심과 수요가 점점 증가하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 수요를 뒷받침 할 수 있는 인프라가 제대로 갖추어져 있지 않다. 이에 현재 운영중인 우리나라 마리나 항만현황과 항만시설 현황을 조사분석하여 국내 마리나 항만의 문제점을 분석하고, 이를 개선할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 이를 통해 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 해양레저활동에 대한 이용자들 중심의 마리나 운영이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

  • FMS has received a great deal of attention in the past two decades as a possible breakthrough for the new technologies in manufacturing. Some people say that the era of FMS has just begun. We have seen the potential benefits of FMS to the manufacturing industries. But it seems that FMS has generated a large number of problems to solve. The objective of this paper is to provide a groundwork for researches in the area of FMS by discussing the current status and prospect. The current status of installations and operations of FMS worldwide is reviewed. U.S.A., Japan, Western Europe, U.S.S.R. and Eastern Europe, and domestic status are discussed briefly. The current status of researches that are related to the FMS is also reviewed. Lastly, the prospect of hardware and software is discussed.

최근 5년간 국내 과학기술자들의 연구활동에 관한 고찰 (A study on the domestic research activity in science and technology last five years)

  • The Annual Editions of SCI(Science Citation Index) CD-ROM over the last five years ('92-'96) were studied to investigate: 1) the status of domestic research activity in science & technology, in comparison with other countries, 2) research activity by universities and research institutes in Korea. Because the selection of journals in SCI is based on the criteria of citation sources, the journals registered in SCI are recognized as the Core Journals in each area of research. Therefore, the analysis result of SCI data is a quite reliable measurement to evaluate the research activities in science and technology. In 1996 a total of 6, 227 papers were listed on SCI, ranking the 21st up from the 29th in 1992. Over the last five years, the number had grown rapidly at an average of 29% per annum. This fast growth is expected to continue in the future.

텍스트마이닝을 활용한 국내외 기록서비스 연구동향 분석 (Analysis of Research Trends on Archival Information Services Using Text Mining)

  • 본 연구는 국내외 기록정보서비스의 연구 동향을 분석한 것으로 2003년부터 2022년까지 한국학술지인용색인(KCI)에 수록된 학술논문 136편과 LISTA(Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts)에 수록된 학술논문 74편을 대상으로 연도별, 연구 유형별, 연구자 유형별, 연구 대상별, 연구목적별 현황을 살펴보았다. 또한 텍스트마이닝 기법을 적용하여 빈도분석, 동시출현 빈도분석, 중심성분석, 토픽모델링을 진행하였다. 연구의 결과 국내 논문은 특정 기관이나 기록물에 집중되었고 이용자 중심의 만족도조사 연구, 콘텐츠 중심의 연구 등이 진행되었다. 국외논문은 아키비스트와 이용자 간의 관계를 연구하는 흐름과 함께 평가 중심의 연구, 자료·자원·컬렉션 등의 정보제공 연구가 다수 진행되었음을 확인하였다. 정보자원의 관리는 국내외 논문 공통의 토픽으로 확인되었으나 국내는 정보자원의 품질 유지를, 국외는 정보의 저장과 검색에 집중된 연구 흐름을 파악할 수 있었다.

국내 패션업체 디스플레이어의 지위와 교육적 배경 (The Status and Educational Background of Displayers in Domestic Fashion Industry)

  • In viewpoint of visual merchandising, display is recognized as important means of expressing fashion as well as essential factor of stimulating customers' interest in purchase. However, visual merchandising is relatively new area and the studies on specialized display personnels are limited. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the status and educational background of displayers in domestic fashion industry. For this study, 72 display personnels working in 51 fashion brands were interviewed. As results, it was found that most of displayers were consisted of single women in the late twenties. And the main part of display work was performed outside office hours which brought out extension of working time. The displayers had relatively high educational background graduated mostly from the majors related to display such as clothing and applied arts. However, it was noted that new curriculum of these majors needs to be developed in order to provide the courses with more on-hand practices. In general, optimistic attitudes were significantly shown by the interviewees that the importance of display is increasingly recognized in the domestic fashion industry and therefore the prospect of display found to be expected as prosperous.

  • Grenfell Tower was renovated in 2014 and 2016 at a high cost to replace the exterior materials, windows and co-heating facilities of the building. The exterior materials used during the repair work were sandwich panels filled with polyethylene and plastic, which were expanded on the aluminum metal surface. It is a product called Celotex RS 5000, a low-resolution but inexpensive repair material, and is currently an external material that cannot be used in high-rise buildings. Similar domestic fire cases began to focus social attention on the safety of high-rise buildings through the Busan Residential Complex Fire (2010), Uijeongbu Urban Living Housing Fire (2015), and Ulsan Residential Complex Fire (2020), and residents' safety concerns are increasing. In Korea, the occurrence and risk of similar fires are high, so setting up fire prevention measures through fire case investigation is considered the most basic measure in securing human safety. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the status of fire damage caused by domestic and foreign eruptions, domestic and international research status and related regulations on external materials and windows starting from the Grenfell Tower fire in England.

국내외 바이오모니터링 프로그램 및 생체시료 활용 현황 (Comprehensive Review of Domestic and Foreign Biomonitoring Programs and Current Status of Bio-sample Application)

  • Objectives: Biomonitoring programs have been widely implemented in the field of environmental health, both in Korea and worldwide. Recently, it has been suggested that the storage, management, and utilization of biosamples collected from biomonitoring programs should be organized based on a biobank system. Therefore, we attempted to review the current status of representative biomonitoring programs and biobank systems that have been implemented in Korea and in other countries. Methods: We searched for bio-samples collected in domestic and foreign biomonitoring programs and their applications. For this, we referred to research papers, homepages hosted by biomonitoring programs, and project reports. We also checked information for biobanks related with biomonitoring programs, including the operating systems, facilities, technologies, and regulations of biobanks. Results: We summarized six domestic and 32 foreign biomonitoring programs. These biomonitoring programs collected bio-samples to determine the relationship between environmental chemicals and diseases. Domestically, bio-samples from KoNEHS, KorSEP, MOCEH, KoCHENS, and KorEHS-C were stored at -80℃ in a deep freezer at the National Institute of Environmental Research, while KNHANES samples were stored at Korea Biobank, which has a stabilized biobanking system with a well-established database. Nine foreign biomonitoring programs (JECS, China-NHBP, CKB, CHMS, NHANES, GerES, Germaan ESB, MoBa, and UK Biobank) were ongoing for large populations. Among them, CKB, GermanESB, and UK biobank have been maintained for at least 10 years with their own biomonitoring programs as well as advanced systems for the safe storage of bio-samples. Conclusion: Currently on-going biobanks have devoted considerable efforts to managing bio-samples for public purposes. The preceding domestic and foreign biomonitoring programs and biobanks will be great references for constructing biobank facilities and systems for environmental public health in Korea in the future.
