Authenticity is the opposite of hypocrisy or deceitful living in philosophy. While various positive factors that humans experience in life based on authenticity have been studied abroad, most of the studies in Korea that tried to measure authenticity did not take into account the characteristics of Korean culture or were developed only for the purpose of use in a limited domain or specific purpose. In this study, based on the specificity of Korean culture, we developed a measure of authenticity that researchers can use universally. To this end, the items constituting the existing authenticity scale and the items reflecting the cultural value of Korean society, which value social relationships, are integrated. The results of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis indicated that authenticity consists of three factors: self-awareness, behavioral authenticity, and relationship authenticity. In addition, criterion validity was verified based on correlations with life satisfaction, mindfulness, self-esteem, HEXACO, social desirability, self-regulation focus, and emotional diversity. These results suggest that the authenticity scale of this study is a reliable and valid measure, and is expected to be an important tool for empirical individual differences research on authenticity in everyday life in Korean population.
Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate the importance and satisfaction of the selective attributes of delivery food and to analyze the factors affecting customer satisfaction. Methods: A total of 574 responses were collected from customers who had ordered delivery food for data analysis. Statistical analyses were conducted using the SPSS program (ver. 25.0) for frequency analysis, χ2 tests, t-test, factor analysis, Pearson correlation, multiple regression analysis, and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Results: The importance of delivery food selection attributes was higher in the order of 'hygiene control level (4.72)', 'taste of food (4.64)', and 'delivery accuracy (4.40)'. Satisfaction assessment was higher in the order of 'taste of food (4.32)', 'delivery accuracy (4.26)', and 'convenience of using the delivery app (4.21)'. According to the results of IPA, items that were priorities for improvement were charges for delivery, discount offers, sufficient description of the menu, and rapid handling of customer complaints. On an average, overall customer satisfaction score of delivery food was 4.01 out of 5 points. Additionally, five satisfaction factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, quality of delivery platform (p < 0.001), quality of delivery service (p < 0.001), convenience and diversity (p < 0.001), quality of delivery food (p < 0.001), and health and safety (p < 0.001) had significant positive effects on overall customer satisfaction. Conclusion: To increase customer satisfaction among delivery food customers, restaurant or delivery platform managers should consistently improve not only the quality of the delivery platform but also the quality of the delivery food and service.
Background: High concentrations of particulate matter less than 2.5 ㎛ in diameter (PM2.5) in poultry houses is an important cause of respiratory disease in animals and humans. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen that can induce severe respiratory disease in animals under stress or with abnormal immune functions. When excessively high concentrations of PM2.5 in poultry houses damage the respiratory system and impair host immunity, secondary infections with P. aeruginosa can occur and produce a more intense inflammatory response, resulting in more severe lung injury. Objectives: In this study, we focused on the synergistic induction of inflammatory injury in the respiratory system and the related molecular mechanisms induced by PM2.5 and P. aeruginosa in poultry houses. Methods: High-throughput 16S rDNA sequence analysis was used for characterizing the bacterial diversity and relative abundance of the PM2.5 samples, and the effects of PM2.5 and P. aeruginosa stimulation on inflammation were detected by in vitro and in vivo. Results: Sequencing results indicated that the PM2.5 in poultry houses contained a high abundance of potentially pathogenic genera, such as Pseudomonas (2.94%). The lung tissues of mice had more significant pathological damage when co-stimulated by PM2.5 and P. aeruginosa, and it can increase the expression levels of interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, and tumor necrosis factor-α through nuclear factor (NF)-κB pathway in vivo and in vitro. Conclusions: The results confirmed that poultry house PM2.5 in combination with P. aeruginosa could aggravate the inflammatory response and cause more severe respiratory system injuries through a process closely related to the activation of the NF-κB pathway.

This study was conducted to investigate the species composition collected by fyke net and characteristics of the Erythroculter erythropterus population in the Asan Lake and Chungju Lake from June to September, 2021. The collected fish in Asan lake were identified as 4,977 individuals of 13 species from a total of six families and in Chungju lake were identified as 2,436 individuals of 18 species from a total of eight families. The dominant species in Asan lake, both the individuals and biomass were E. erythropterus with 4,470 (89.8%) and 498,424g (84.5%). The dominant species in Chungju lake, both the individuals and biomass were E. erythropterus with 1,327 (54.5%) and 301,818 g (77.5%). The results of the community analysis showed that a dominant index value of Asan lake was 0.93, higher than 0.71 of Chungju lake, and a diversity, evenness, and richness index value of Chungju lake were higher than of Asan lake. The frequency distribution of the total length analysis of the E. erythropterus population showed the appearance rate of 1~2 year olds was high in Asan lake, and the appearance rate of more than 2 years old were high in Chungju lake. The length-weight analysis of E. erythropterus in Asan Lake and Chungju Lake showed a regression coefficient b of 3.06 and 3.04, a condition factor (K) of 0.000128 and 0.000051 with a positive slope. This study could be served as baseline data for assessing habitat characteristics based on the species composition of fishes, and identifying health conditions of E. erythropterus in Asan Lake and Chungju Lake, artificial lakes.
As time is rapidly changing, the culture to represent an era is getting more subdivided and complex. Due to cultural diversity, the influence, cause, characteristics which could be understood in individual field centered by space in the past cannot be understood now only by the viewpoint of one field, and it has become difficult to predict and correspond to the change of the future. With the development of information and knowledge delivery system, various cultural contents to form a space are being created and lapsed, but there are a lot of parts which cannot be explained or understood by only one point of view. To inspect these situation, this study is aimed to draw the Tangibility and Intangibility Value causes that became the influence with Jongmyo Shrine, designated from UNESCO at February 1995, a traditional space with historical superiority, analyze the key factors that became the main factor to form the space, and consider the importance of the related factors. The unconstructured data technique which is applied as the method of analysis in this study can be said to be a new value judgement and viewpoint in interpreting the space. Therefore, this study is a new trial to provide a frame for multilaterally interpreting the various traditional space and culture of Korea from the past to the present.

This study is on the elderly people's use and experience of pet robots (companion robots). Applying companion robots for the elderly's daily lives can enhance their quality of life. Leisure is main activity of the elderly who are out of work. Therefore, the quality and diversity of leisure can affect the quality of their life. Companion Robots could provide them with more advanced and interesting experiences. Around the world, population aging becomes one of the most important trends in each country. The social and economic burden of aging is serious challenge on sustainability of the world, including S. Korea. The authors examine use of Companion Robots for elderly (from 50 years old to 90 years old). In this experiment, the authors study and measure many factors including system quality, interface quality, displeasure, enjoyment, willingness to reuse, perception on new technology. In regression analysis, intimacy(t=-2.006, p<.05) is significant factor on displeasure of Companion Robot. In another regression, displeasure of Companion Robot (independent variable) is significant factor on enjoyment(t=-3.327, p<.01) and willingness to reuse(t=-2.636, p<.01). Therefore, when elderly one feels less displeasure of Companion Robot, he/she feels more enjoyment and willingness to reuse. As a result, the elderly who don't familiar to new technology could improve quality of life and leisure activity by using companion robot.
The goal of this study was to provide basic data necessary for managing fish in the Seomgang River by confirming diversity of fish species in the Seomgang River and determining the degree of change in fish species through a comparison with earlier related work. Growth rate, obesity level, and temporal and spatial reproductive capacities were analyzed to determine growth characteristics of dominant species. Fish fauna and structure of the fish community were surveyed at three different time points from October of 2020 to August of 2021 at eight sites. In addition, growth characteristics of Zacco platypus from June of 2021 to July of 2022 at four sites were determined. A total of 3,999 individuals, 43 species, and ten families of fish were identified. Among these species, 19 (44.19%) were Korean endemic species and four (9.30%) were endangered species. The dominant species was Z. platypus. Pungtungia herzi was identified as a subdominant species. An analysis of length-weight relationships and condition factor (k) of Z. platypus confirmed a good state of growth. As a result of a frequency analysis of the total length, the life cycle of the Z. platypus population living in the Seomgang River was found to be stable. According to gonadosomatic index (GSI) analysis, the spawning season of Z. platypus was estimated to occur after May, consistent with the literature.

Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a nutrition quotient (NQ) to assess overall dietary quality and food behaviors of Korean adults. Methods: The NQ was developed in three steps: item generation, item reduction, and validation. Candidate items of the NQ checklist were derived from a systematic literature review, expert in-depth interviews, statistical analyses of the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2010 ~ 2013) data, and national nutrition policies and recommendations. A total of 368 adults (19 ~ 64 years) participated in a one-day dietary record survey and responded to 43 items in the food behavior checklist. Pearson's correlation coefficients between responses to the checklist items and nutritional intake status of the adults were calculated. Item reduction was performed, and 24 items were selected for a nationwide survey. A total of 1,053 nationwide adult subjects completed the checklist questionnaires. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed to develop a final NQ model. Results: The 21 checklist items were used as final items for NQ. Checklist items were composed of four factors: nutrition balance (seven items), food diversity (three items), moderation for the amount of food intake (six items), and dietary behavior (five items). The four-factor structure accounted for 41.8% of the total variance. Indicator tests of the NQ model suggested an adequate model fit (GRI = 0.9693, adjusted GFI = 0.9617, RMR = 0.0054, SRMR = 0.0897, p < 0.05), and item loadings were significant for all subscales. Standardized path coefficients were used as weights of the items. The NQ and four-factor scores were calculated according to the obtained weights of the questionnaire items. Conclusion: NQ for adults would be a useful tool for assessing adult dietary quality and food behavior. Further investigations of adult NQ are needed to reflect changes in their food behavior, environment, and prevalence of chronic diseases.

Candidate items of the NQ-A checklist were selected based on literature reviews, results of the fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data, dietary guidelines for Korean adolescents, expert in-depth interviews, and national nutrition policies and recommendations. A total of 213 middle and high school students participated in a one-day dietary record survey and responded to 41 items in the food behavior checklist. Pearson's correlation coefficients between the responses to the checklist items along with nutritional status of the adolescents were calculated. Item reduction was performed, and 24 items were selected for the nation-wide survey. A total of 1,547 adolescents from 17 cities completed the checklist questionnaire. Exploratory factor and confirmatory factor analyses were performed to develop a final NQ-A model. Results: Nineteen items were finalized as the checklist items for the NQ-A. Checklist items were composed of five factors (balance, diversity, moderation, environment, and practice). The five-factor structure accounted for 47.2% of the total variance. Standardized path coefficients were used as weights of the items. The NQ-A and five-factor scores were calculated based on the obtained weights of the questionnaire items. Conclusion: Nutrition Quotient for adolescents (NQ-A) would be a useful instrument for evaluating dietary quality and food behavior of Korean adolescents. Further research on NQ-A is needed to reflect changes in adolescent's food behavior and environment.
