Purpose: This study aims to explain the effect distribution strategy and competitiveness of entrepreneurial personality on marketing capabilities and performance, the effect of marketing capabilities on marketing performance, the role of marketing capabilities as a mediating variable on the effect of entrepreneurial personality on marketing performance, and the role of credit access moderating effect of entrepreneurial personality on marketing capabilities and performance. Research design, data, and methodology: This research was conducted in Bali, on a small clothing industry. The sample size was set at 150 respondents, using a cluster random sampling approach. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and partial least square. Result: The findings show that; entrepreneurial personality and marketing capabilities have a significant effect on marketing performance, entrepreneurial personality has a significant effect on marketing capabilities. Another result shows that marketing capability mediates the effect of entrepreneurial personality on marketing performance, access to credit acts as a moderating predictor, and as quasi moderating the effect of entrepreneurial personality on marketing performance. Conclusions: Entrepreneurs should try to increase their knowledge and skills in marketing formally or informally. Competence in terms of individual knowledge and skills can indicate social capital investment, which indirectly contributes to one's mindset and insight.
With the increasing market share of retailer brands, many authors have paid considerable attention to retailer brands. Before market liberalisation in 1996 in Korea, retailer brand market was led by the supermarket retailing format, although the first retailer brand product was developed by the department store format. In parallel with the entry of foreign multiple retailers, the retailer brand market has experienced rapid growth. Particularly, the expansion of Tesco UK with well-established retailing know-how into Korea has encouraged Tesco Korea to actively get involved in retailer brand program. As a result, Tesco Korea has led retailer brand market in the Korean marketplace. The research starts with the question of why Tesco Korea has achieved such a higher retailer brand share. Accordingly, this study is to explore how Tesco UK has transferred its own retailing knowledge into Tesco Korea, in terms of retailer brand program development. In order to explore why the retailer brand share of Tesco Korea is higher than that of its counterparts, the author adopted in-depth interview with prepared-questions and store observation as a research methodology. To examine working process as well as information flows within Tesco Korea and from UK to Korea, in-depth interview method is one of the most suitable research methodologies, because of the difficulty of quantifying information or data related to work flows. In addition, to increase the validity of information, the researcher had interviews with Tesco Korea supplier and store personnel. Based on these research techniques, this research explored how Tesco UK has influenced or advised Tesco Korea, particularly, from the point of view of knowledge transfer. Since the entry of Tesco UK into Korea as a joint-venture, the retailer brand market share of Tesco Korea has continuously increased. It would be expected that Tesco UK has helped Tesco Korea to settle down in the Korean market. During interviews with Tesco and a Tesco supplier, the researcher found that Tesco Korea has obviously taken an advantage of retailing know-how created by Tesco UK. Furthermore, the retailer brand development and handling process of Tesco Korea has been operated with the help of Tesco UK. This might mean that Tesco UK has directly or indirectly an impact on the improvement of Korean retailer brand development skills. As a mechanism to transfer retailing knowledge developed in the home market into the host market, one of the international retailers, Tesco UK has adopted many different ways such as annual meeting, trading meeting to import or export own retailer brand products, offering of operation manual developed by Tesco UK and buyer cooperation between Tesco UK and Korea, in order to share information. Through these communication techniques, the knowledge of Tesco UK has been transferred to Tesco Korea. This research accordingly suggests that retailer brand market share is apparently related to how sophisticated or advanced the knowledge of the retailer brand development and handling process of retailers are. It is also demonstrated by this research that advanced development and handling skills make a considerable contribution to increasing retailer brand share in markets with a lower share or no presence of retailer brands.

Organizations pursue innovation to improve performance and gain competitive advantage, and knowledge workers represent an integral part of creating knowledge and helping organizations in their innovation efforts. The current paper seeks to examine the impact of the work environment on knowledge workers' creativity. Building on The Investment Theory of Creativity, The Componential Theory of Creativity, the Job Demand-Resource model, and the Resource Based View, we develop and test a model suggesting a relationship between work environment-social support, sufficient resources, organizational freedom, and organizational regulations-and the quantity and quality of the creative performance of knowledge workers. Using a sample of 167 engineers in Saudi Arabia, an emerging but wealthy country with huge innovation inspirations, the results of our Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis indicate that all four elements of the work environment included in our study positively impact the quantity and quality of knowledge workers' creative performance. Our paper provides important contributions to the literature on the work environment, creativity, and knowledge management, with an emphasis on creativity in developing countries. Our study highlights the importance of creating a supportive and encouraging work environment for knowledge workers to foster their creativity. The study offers several theoretical and managerial implications, along with suggestions for future research.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the positive aspects of sexual knowledge in high school students. Method: The participants were 1,106 students from two high school in Hong Cheon, Korea. Data were collected between June 1st and June 30th, 2001. Collected data were analyzed using the SPSS program to investigate responses to a structured questionnaire. Result: The level of sexual knowledge in the high school students was 13.83 (range 1 to 19). In terms of the response distribution for sexual knowledge by items, the correct response rate was highest for 'wet dream', and the incorrect response rate was lowest for 'sexually transmitted disease'. There were significant differences in sexual knowledge according to the general characteristics of gender and grade (women: 14.07, men: 13.48; 12th grade: 14.52, 11th grade: 13.92, and 10th grade: 13.12). It was found that there were significant differences in sexual knowledge according to method of sex education, teacher, and effect of sex education. Conclusion: The level of sexual knowledge in high school students was low; thus, more effective methods to enhance the sexual knowledge of men students on sexually transmitted diseases and contraception are needed.
Purpose: The work aimed to integrate and distribute the knowledge of marketing and chemistry for product development, in which individual packaging from water hyacinth was ideal. Research design, data, and methodology: A customer perception was surveyed to guide the preparation process, and eco-packaging preparation followed the perception study. The satisfaction with the packaging using the 4Ps was determined. Results: 159 samples participated in the survey to establish their perceptions. They perceived that eco-packaging was a friendly environment with a score of 4.47. The uses of chemicals and water were less. The design for other functions than a normal function of packaging was preferred. The pulping was done using 3.0 M NaOH. The natural additives of carboxymethyl cellulose (defibering) and corn starch (adhesive) were desired. The paper was characterized according to The National Standard of Kraft paper and was equivalent to the liner board. The prototype of packaging was fabricated as individual packaging. The marketing mix was used to survey 200 samples. The satisfaction with the product was the maximum at 4.53, while the minimum was on price. The online channel was preferred to access the product. Conclusions: Water hyacinth could be added value as eco-packaging that the qualities of pulp were equal to the Kraft paper. Individual packaging from water hyacinth was satisfied.
Purpose - In this research, we investigate the relationship between the level of information technology utilization, social capital and knowledge management, organization performance. For information and knowledge management, participants' certain level of information technology utilization is required and connections among participants are necessary for performing and for synergy effects. Research design, data, and methodology - Reflecting on these, we empirically analyze the effects of participant's information technology utilization level and social capital on knowledge management and organization achievement for the case of Incheon International Airport. Questionnaire is distributed to the airport employees and collected 221 samples for analyzing. SPSS and AMOS statistic programs are used for analysis. Factor analysis, Credibility adaptability, path analysis, hypotheses are verified. Results - The study research shows as follow. First, the level of IT utilization does affect social capital but does not affect knowledge management. Second, social capital affects both knowledge management and organization achievement. To investigate more about the relationship between the level of IT utilization and knowledge management, we analyzed the control effects of personal characteristics, and findings are, first, employees with longer time service recognize the importance that the level of IT use and knowledge management affect organization achievement more seriously than employees with shorter time service do. Second, employees with shorter time service and younger employees have relatively lesser social capital and participate in knowledge management passively. Third, higher position employees think that the level of IT utilization affects knowledge management while lower position employees do not. Conclusions - The level of IT utilization affects social capital, and social capital affects knowledge management and organization achievement. These results suggest that the level of IT utilization is very important to both organization and each employee. So providing related training and education opportunities or incentives to induce employees to make efforts for higher level of IT utilization and thus to participate in knowledge management more actively is necessary. The level of IT utilization affects social capital which airport employees lack. The one of study results indicates the importance of social capital and for higher competitiveness of the airport social capital should be increased.
This study was interested in examining the image of a co-brand with the case of'CHIMERIC', the co-brand of Daegu city in Korea. The purpose of the study was to investigate the difference in brand image by brand knowledge and the effects of brand image on brand preference, brand purchase, and brand satisfaction. A total of 354 questionnaires collected from the region(Daegu)'s residents, who were aware of CHIMERIC, were analyzed. Factor analysis extracted 6 factors of brand image including symbolic image, product, ad, price, distribution, and publicity. The results revealed that there were differences in product and publicity images by brand knowledge. Symbolic and publicity images and brand knowledge affected brand preference, which in turn had the strongest effect on brand purchase. Brand knowledge also affected brand purchase while no direct effect of brand image was observed. Brand satisfaction was affected by brand preference, publicity, and ad image.
The purpose of this study is to investigate determinants of partner opportunism in Korean discount store distribution channels. In addition, this study also try to examine moderating role of relational learning in the relationship. This study deals with transaction specific investment asymmetry, mutual hostages, payoff inequity, cultural diversity, and goal incompatibilities as determinants of partner opportunism. For empirical testing, 293 respondents of suppliers of discount store in Korea were surveyed and the analysis utilizing partial least square model indicated that TSI asymmetry, payoff inequity, and goal incompatibilities had positive effects on partner opportunism. On the other hand, mutual hostages had negative effect on partner opportunism. In addition, relational learning had moderating effect on the relationship between TSI asymmetry, mutual hostages, and payoff inequity and partner opportunism.

This enables the design of numerical values and mathematical things using three-dimensional free-form expression, and enhances precision because it can be fine-tuned via numerical control. The standard of "Classification of Luminaire Light Distribution" for outdoor lighting fixtures by IESNA is adopted in order to examine the correlation between three-dimensional free-form surface expression and lighting performance. The variation of light distribution type and range is analyzed using the values of maximum light intensity and 50% light intensity. The actual tolerance occurs owing to parameters such as the thickness of the lens, the distance between LEDs, and the movement of the center of the incident surface; the effects of changes in these parameters on the performance are compared and analyzed.

The u-Food System, which is in the process of development in Korea, is a next-generation food system that can allow food providers, consumers, and distributors to access various types of information about food products, including traceability, distribution, safety, quality, and freshness, and manage this information. It is a future food system that converges ICT, biotechnology and sensing technology with food. Based on the u-Food System, this paper will introduce the status of current smart quality distribution technologies that converge ICT (such as sensor tag, sensor network, LBS, GIS, and CDMA) with food technologies (such as traceability, quality, distribution management) to manage the safety and quality of fresh food in the distribution process.
