Recently, with the advances in sensor techniques and net work computing, Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN) has been received a lot of attentions from various communities. The sensor nodes distributed in the sensor network tend to continuously generate a large amount of data, which is called stream data. Sensor stream data arrives in an online manner so that it is characterized as high-speed, real-time and unbounded and it requires fast data processing to get the up-to-date results. The data stream has many application domains such as traffic analysis, physical distribution, U-healthcare and so on. Therefore, there is an overwhelming need of a USN middleware for processing such online stream data to provide corresponding services to diverse applications. In this paper, we propose a novel USN middleware which can provide users both context-aware service and meaningful sequential patterns. Our proposed USN middleware is mainly focused on location based applications which use stream location data. We also show the implementation of our proposed USN middleware. By using the proposed USN middleware, we can save the developing cost of providing context aware services and stream sequential patterns mainly in location based applications.
In this paper we propose the approach for big data integration so as to analyze, visualize and predict the future of the trend of the market, and that is to get the integration data model using the R language which is the future of the statistics and the Hadoop which is a parallel processing for the data. As four approaching methods using R and Hadoop, ff package in R, R and Streaming as Hadoop utility, and Rhipe and RHadoop as R and Hadoop interface packages are used, and the strength and weakness of four methods are described and analyzed, so Rhipe and RHadoop are proposed as a complete set of data integration model. The integration of R, which is popular for processing statistical algorithm and Hadoop contains Distributed File System and resource management platform and can implement the MapReduce programming model gives us a new environment where in R code can be written and deployed in Hadoop without any data movement. This model allows us to predictive analysis with high performance and deep understand over the big data.
Our study measures the Digital Life Index (DLI) of baby boomers by considering the utilization of digital devices in their everyday life. The study was conducted by implementing the following three-step approach: (1) development of survey questions and data collection; (2) build Digital Life Index (DLI) model and lastly; (3) empirical analysis using the Digital Life Index (DLI). In the first stage in order to develop the survey questions to measure the digital index, two surveys were conducted. For the first preliminary survey, it was done based on the existing literatures which enabled this investigation through FGI analysis involving real professionals. The second survey was conducted by commissioning a specialized external firm. In this survey, a total of 400 data was collected to verify the validity and objectivity of the data sample. The data gathered through the survey questions was used to develop the digital index. Firstly, the appropriate factors were extracted by conducting factor analysis. This factor analysis validates and verifies the factors which are appropriate in measuring Digital Life Index (DLI). The derived factors are broadly divided into five main factors. The first factor describes the possession, purchase and use of digital device (x1). Meanwhile, the second factor describes the digital device's software (x2) and the third factor describes the participation in utilizing digital device (x3). The fourth factor describes the utilization of digital device in human personal relationship (x4) and lastly, the fifth factor describes the effect of digital device in everyday life and work environment (x5). Secondly, the digital index model was developed. The variables to represent the Digital Life Index (DLI) are ${\chi}1t,{\chi}2t,{\chi}3t,{\chi}4t$ and ${\chi}5t$. Furthermore, as experience in using the digital index grows overtime, the growth can be represented by the "S" shape. Based on the results, Digital Life Index(DLI) is distributed with the highest point at 90.3 and the lowest point at 25.9.
The purpose of this study also suggests the direction for the improvement of the quality of family life because the homemaker's health sate affects a successful home management and a satisfactory family life. This study is based on a review of relevent lifevatures by using a research model consits of the independent variables the mediating variables and the dependent variables. The samples were selected by cluster in Seoul Korea. The 700 questionaries were distributed to homemakers who have at least one child with their spouses. Finally the 520 data were analyzed by cronbach's coefficient factory analysis frequency percentage oneway ANOVA correlation regression analysis and path analysis. Consequentyly the findings of this study were accepted hypothesis I. II. III. IV.
Since 1960's, structural engineers have recognized that tile inherent random nature of loadings and materials as well as the imperfect structural analysis may be important factors in tile structural safety evaluation. Based on the successful developments of the reliability based structural analysis and design, the design criteria of tile standards are recently developed(or modified) in the light of the probabilistic concepts. To develop the probability-based design criteria for tile domestic buildings, the probabilistic characters of loadings acting on structures should be defined first. In this study, therefore, live load data on apartment buildings have collected and analyzed in a systematic manner, and their probabilistic characteristics have been studied. Based oil the results, the lifetime extreme values are computed and compared with current design loads. More rational design loads are suggested, which are more consistent in the probabilistic concepts.
In this study, three-dimensional heat flow in laser beam welding for deep penetration was analyzed by using F.E.M common code, and then the results were compared with the experimental data. The models for analysis are full penetration welds and are made at three different laser powers (6, 9.9, 4.5 kW) with two different welding speeds (5.8mm/s, 5mm/s). The characteristics of thermal absorption by the workpiece during deep penetration laser welding can be represented by a combination of line heat source through the workpiece and distributed heat source at the top surface due to the plasma plume above the top surface. This gives an insight into the way in which the beam interacts with the material being welded. The analyses performed with the combined heat source models show comparatively good agreement between the experimental and calculated melt temperature isotherm, i.e, the fusion zone boundary. The results are used to explain the "nail head" appearance of fusion zone, which is quite common in laser beam welds.eam welds.
A new analytical solution based on a third order shear deformation theory for the problem of static analysis of cross-ply doubly-curved shells is presented. The boundary-discontinuous generalized double Fourier series method is used to solve highly coupled linear partial differential equations with the mixed type simply supported boundary conditions prescribed on the edges. The complementary boundary constraints are introduced through boundary discontinuities generated by the selected boundary conditions for the derivation of the complementary solution. The numerical accuracy of the solution is compared by studying the comparisons of deflections, stresses and moments of symmetric and anti-symmetric laminated shells with finite element results using commercially available software under uniformly distributed load. Results are in good agreement with finite element counterparts. Additional results of the symmetric and anti-symmetric laminated and sandwich shells under single point load at the center and pressure load, are presented to provide data for the unsolved boundary conditions, benchmark comparisons and verifications.
This study was carried out to provide the basic data for an identifying system for Iris species distributed in Korean market from complete analysing of genetic relationship between three native Iris species and one cultivar bred from the native Iris plant. RAPD analysis of genetic relationship among 4 Irises was possible. According to the RAPD analysis, they were divided into two groups. Among 4 Irises used in this study, Iris laevigata 'Veriegata', Iris laevigata and Iris setosa were classified into the same group since they had many similarities even though the habitat of Iris laevigata in Korean peninsular is restricted mainly in the south and Iris setosa is naturally inhabited in the northern part of Kangwondo. The value for the dissimilarity index of Iris laevigata and Iris laevigata 'Veriegata' was 6.757. The value for the dissimilarity index of Iris laevigata and Iris dichotoma was 95.000, so that they were genetically the farthest among them since the genetic relationship between two species are separated far if the value of the dissimilarity index is close to 100.
The firing noise produced at artillery test range or military training ground is impulsive burst noise which energy is generated within tens of milliseconds and distributed an isolated burst of sound energy separated to one by one noise. The long range propagation of this noise is affected by a caliber of gun, amount of propellant, distance between source and receiver, ground and meteorological condition. In this paper, main influence parameters have been described based on experimental analysis of measured data. It is considered that this analysis result can be used as useful materials for study of effective firing noise management and development of propagation model.
