Development of the SysLog-based Integrated Log Management system for Firewalls in Distributed Network Environments (분산 환경에서 SysLog기반의 방화벽 통합로그관리시스템 개발)

  • Application log files contain error messages; operational data and usage information that can help manage applications and servers. Log analysis system is software that read and parse log files, extract and aggregate information in order to generate reports on the application. In currently, the importance of log files of firewalls is growing bigger and bigger for the forensics of cyber crimes and the establishment of security policy. In this paper, we designed and implemented the SILAS(SysLog-based Integrated Log mAanagement System) in distribute network environments. It help to generate reports on the the log fires of firewalls - IP and users, and statistics of application usage.

  • 분산 환경에서의 소프트웨어 개발관리를 효과적으로 지원하기 위해 필요한 기능 요건으로는 원격지 개발팀윈들 간의 협동작업 지원기능, 개발 과정에서 산출되는 각종 정보객체들의 저장 및 공유 지원기능, 개발에 필요한 각종 프로세스 관리기능 및 프로젝트 관리기능 등을 들 수 있는데, 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 정보객체 관리를 중심으로 하는 공동작업장 시스템을 설계하고, 이를 구현하였다. 즉, 설계 문서, 소스 코드 등과 같은 개발 과정에서 산출되는 각종 정보객체들의 구조 및 관계를 통합관리하는 틀로서 BOC(Bill Of Class)를 제안하며 BOC를 이용한 정보객체 관리 기능의 구조와 기능을 제시한다. 그리고, 제시한 정보객체 관리 구조를 기반으로 분산환경에서의 효과적인 소프트웨어 개발을 지원하는 공동작업장 시스템을 설계 및 구현하고 이의 유용성을 보인다.

Development of robot control system using DSP (DSP를 이용한 로보트 제어시스템 개발)

  • In this paper, the design and the implementation of the controller for an articulate robot, which is developed in our Automatic Control Laboratory, are mainly discussed. The controller reduces software computational load via distributed processing method using multiple CPU's, and simplifies structures by the time-division control with TMS320C31 DSP chip. The method of control is based on the fuzzy-compensated PID control with scale factor, which compensates for the influence of load variation resulting from the various postures of the robot with conventional PID scheme. The application of the proposed controller to the robot system with DC servo-motors shows some excellent control capabilities. Also, the response characteristics of system for the various trajectory commands verify the superiority of the controller.

  • KOSMOS is Korea Open Source MOtion System which is developed based on general purpose hardware and open source software. It is aiming at IEC 61131-3 standard. Real-time ethernet has several advantages for motion control system and distributed control system. So, considering this advantages, KOSMOS has the network interface made up of Real-time ethernet, EtherCAT. In this paper, we explain the KOSMOS platform, the performance for real-time task and show the real case applying KOSMOS platform in manipulator control system.

  • HLA(High Level Architecture)는 차세대 DIS(Distributed Interactive Simulation)를 이어 네트워크 분산 시뮬레이션의 기반이 되는 표준 아키텍쳐이다. 이 HLA 시스템의 개발 과정에서 FEDEP(Federation Development and Execution Process) Model이 제안되었는데, FEDEP의 목적은 federation 개발자가 application의 요구를 충족시킬 수 있도록 federation 개발 및 실행에 대한 guideline을 정하는 것이다. FEDEP의 일련의 process들 중에서 노동집약적인 과정은 CASE(Computer Aided Software Engineering) tool을 사용함으로써 보다 강화되고 능률적으로 이루어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서 소개하는 HLA Application Builder 는 federate 와 federation을 자동적으로 생성하는 CASE tool 로서, 자동적인 FED(Federation Execution Data)file 및 C++ source code를 생성함으로써 HLA Federation 개발에 있어서의 인력(manpower)을 크게 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 HLA에 대한 배경지식과 HLA Application Builder 개발의 필요성과 구현, 그리고 실제 예를 들어서 HLA Application Builder가 어떻게 federation 개발에 사용되는지에 대해서 설명한다.

Object Recognition using Comparison of External Boundary

  • As the 4th industry has been widely distributed, there is a need for a process of real-time image recognition in various fields such as identification of company employees, security maintenance, and development of military weapons. Therefore, in this paper, we will propose an algorithm that effectively recognizes a test object by comparing it with the DB model. The proposed object recognition system first expresses the outline of the test object as a set of vertices with the distances of predefined length or more. Then, the degree of matching of the structures of the two objects is calculated by examining the distances to the outline of the DB model from the vertices constituting the test object. Because the proposed recognition algorithm uses the outline of the object, the recognition process is easy to understand, simple to implement, and a satisfactory recognition result is obtained.

  • The PEFP (Proton Engineering Frontier Project) is constructing a 100MeV proton Linac (Linear Accelerator). The 20 MeV 20 mA proton beam has been serviced for an application in the fields of material, biological, information technology and medical sciences. For a stable and efficient acceleration of a proton beam, the control requirements must be optimized by studying various control methods. We propose that the integrated control system for the Linac machine components must be based on a distribution control method to improve a centralized control system. Based on EPICS (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System) real-time software, the VME (Versa Module European package format) IOC (Input Output Controller) was developed under cross development environment with a RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) PowerPC system. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of distributed control system using the VME-based EPICS middleware for various components of the large proton accelerator.

  • The Monte Carlo (MC) method has become an indispensable part of the nuclear radiation research field. Several widely used and well-known MC packages were developed for simulation of radiation transport and interaction with matter. All these MC packages require users to prepare an input script. The input script can become lengthy for complex models. The process of preparing these input scripts is time-consuming and error-prone. In the present work, we have developed an open-source GUI computer program for modelling radiation transport and interaction in multi-segmented slab phantoms using grid-based system for the widely used PHITS MC package. The developed tools would be useful for future users of PHITS MC package and particularly inexperienced users. The present program is distributed under GPL license and all users can freely download, modify and redistribute the program without any restrictions.

  • This paper aims at developing remote control system to control and monitor distributed various devices such as UPS through internet. TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) and UPS operated in a row are adopted for the network management protocol and the application device, respectively. For controlling and monitoring distributed devices in realtime, java-environment software is constructed. Also, HelloDevice, general-use interface controller between network device and applied device is proposed. Finally, serial communication such as RS-232C is used between controller and applied device.

  • To correspond with the unpredictable future tactical environment, Ive expanded the application of M&S(Modeling & Simulation) that is more scientific and more economic in a field of weapon system development process. This paper describes experience in development of ADSF(Air Defense Simulation Framework) that supports not only HLA(High Level Architecture) which is an international standard in M&S but also TCP/IP as well as real-time distributed simulation. ADSF has been applied to the M-SAM(Medium Range Surface to Air Missile) System Simulator, and satisfying test results through GPS(Global Positioning System) timer has been acquired. As a result, an ADSF which is able to support HLA and TCP/IP as veil as precise real-time simulation has been successfully made. we were in need or a real-time simulation engine to support Air Defense System Simulators that were consisted of several subsystems.
