The adsorption behaviors of acid dye and disperse dye on silk and nylon fabrics were examined, in one bath dyeing system on silk/nylon blend fabric with disperse dyes and acid dyes. In the dyeing of nylon fabric with C. I. Disperse Red 19 (Red 19) and C. I. Disperse Red 60 (Red 60), dye uptake of Red 19 was higher than that of Red 60. When silk/nylon blend fabric was dyed with Red 19 and Red 0, the dye uptake on nylon was influenced by the ffinity of the dye to the silk fabric. In the dyeing of silk/nylon with C. I. Acid Blue 80 and C. I. Acid Yellow 121, solid shade could not be obtained with the conventional method but could be obtained with the dyeing resist agent for nylon. There was not any relationship between K/S value and Munsell value, but Munsell value tended to change with the K/S value.

When some disperse dye was decolored with oxidation power of ozone, the results in investigation of decoloration behavior with dye solution and its order of reaction and variation of TOC were as follow: 1. Order of decoloration for Some disperse dye is C.I. Disperse Blue 79>Blue 73> Red 343>Red 60>Blue 354>Yellow 42. 2. Velocity of decoloration for the all dyestuffs was the fastest when pH 3. 3. TOC was rapidly reduced between 10 min. and 20 min. 4. For the reduction of TOC ozone was needs many times as compared with decoloration of dyestuffs.
Six nano disperse dyes were prepared using corresponding O/W nanoemulsions which were obtained with sodium laurylsulphate and caprylic triglyceride. The average particle size of the dyes prepared were in the range of $110{\sim}130nm$. Exhaust dyeing using nano dyes resulted in low exhaustion yields of $17{\sim}26%$ on regular polyester fiber and $28{\sim}38%$ on ultramicrofiber polyester. The observed low exhaustion yields of nano disperse dye can be explained by the solubilization of dye particles into surfactant micelles as well as the high stability of the nanoemulsions, these might reduce the capacity of dye uptake onto the fibers. However, higher K/S values of dyeings with nano dyes on ultramicrofiber sites compared to those on regular polyester sites suggested their potential to be more efficient dyes for finer denier microfiber polyesters.
Polyester ultrarmcrofiber(UMF, fiber fineness : 0.05d) and the other three kinds of polyester fibers(0.52, 1.04 and 2.08d) were dyed with two disperse dyes, C.1. Disperse Red 60 and Blue 56. Dyeing rates and absorption isotherms of these dyes have been measured at 100, 115 and $130^\circ{C}$ in water system. The dye bath was maintained at pH 5.0 with acetic acid(0.1mo1/1) /sodium acetate(0.1mo1/1) buffers and a liquor ratio of 1000:1. The absorption isotherms from two disperse dyes are nearly linear up to the saturation values, which increase with the temperature of dyeing. Dye uptake decreased with the fiber fineness in lower temperature $100^\circ{C})$, whereas increased in higher temperature$(130^\circ{C})$. A comparatively greater quantity of dye is necessary to dye ultrarmcrofiber fabrics than conventional fabrics. Disperse Blue 56 having a good build-up property is agreed to Fothergill's equation, which is inversely varied with the fiber fineness by the quantity of dye necessary to obtain a given shade.
Four aminoazobenzene disperse dyes derived from different N-ethyl-N-substitutedalkylanilines and 2-chloro-4-nitroaniline, were synthesized and their chemical structure were analyzed by 500 MHz NMR spectroscopy. The wavelength of maximum absorption of the synthesized dyes, which was dependent on the electron withdrawing ability of the substituent, was in the range of 499.5~526.0nm. As terminal substituent became polar, the dyeing rate of disperse dye increased, and the exhaustion rate of dyes having cyano or hydroxy group became lower, that of the dye having acetoxy group higher. The wash fastness of polyester fabric dyed with disperse dyes possessing the polar group improved probably due to the increased dye-fiber interaction.
Ultramicrofiber(UMF) PET knitted fabric and regular PET plain woven fabric as reference sample were impregnated with waterborne polyurethane(PU) in a two-step process with dyeing/PU treatment and PU treatment/dyeing to investigate the effect of the treatment sequence. The waterborne PU impregnated fabrics were dyed with two kinds of vat and disperse dyes to investigate the dyeing properties and the dyeing fastnesses. In vat dyeing the rank of color strength(K/S) was in order of dyeing/PU impregnation > dyeing only > PU impregnation/dyeing, whereas in case of disperse dyeing, the order was dyeing/PU impregnation > PU impregnation/dyeing >dyeing only. Wash fastness of vat dyeing showed a higher 2-3 grade than disperse dyeing, while rubbing and light fastnesses were not good for disperse dyes.
This study was conducted to remove the dyes in dye wastewater by the chemical precipitation or biological treatment which are one of the main pollutants in dye wastewater. In order to remove the disperse dyes effectively in aqueous solution by chemical precipitation process, coagulation and flocculation tests were carried out using several coagulants on various reaction conditions. It was found that the Ferrous sulfate was the most effective coagulant for the removal of disperse dye(DB79), and we could get the best result for the removal of disperse dye(DB56) in the aspects of TOC removal efficiency and sludge yield. When the Ferrous sulfate dosage was 800mg/l, the sludge settling velocity was very fast$(SV_{30}=4\%)$, and the color was effectively removed in the disperse dye(DB79) solution. Although the color removal was ineffective when the Alum was used as a coagulant, the sludge yield decreased in comparison with the Ferrous sulfate or the Ferric sulfate being used in the disperse dye(DB56) solution. In order to decolorize disperse dye(DR17) by using biological treatment process, a strain which has potential ability to degrade disperse dyes was isolated from natural system. The optimal culture conditions of temperature and pH were found to be $40^{\circ}C\;and\;8.5\~9$, respectively. When yeast extract was mixed with polypeptone at the mixing ratio of 1:1 as a nitrogen source, decolorization efficiency was highest$(93\%)$ among the nitrogen sources. The strain screened was excellent to adjust to pH, and it seems to have ability to control pH needed to growth. The optimal culture conditions in concentration of $MgSO_{4.}\cdot7H_2O\;and\;KH_2PO_4$ were $0.1\%(w/v)\;and\;0.2\%(w/v)$, respectively. Strains degrading and decolorizing reactive dyes, RB198 and RR141 which were isolated from water system, are named RBK1 and RRK. And the cell growth characteristics of RBK1 and RRK were investigated. The optimal culture conditions of temperature and pH were found to be 30t' and 7.0, respectively. Optimum nitrogen source was peptone, and it was found that decolorization efficiencies by strains RBK1 and RRK, were $85\%\;and\;62\%$, respectively, with introduction of 4,000mg/l of peptone. In the case of RBK1, color removal efficiencies were very high below 400mg/l. Decolorization efficiency was over $90\%$ at 20hours of culture time. The Color degradation ability of RRK was lower than that of RBK1.
본 연구에서는 초임계 이산화탄소를 사용하여 $50{\sim}90^{\circ}C$의 온도와 15~30 MPa의 압력범위에서 두 종류의 분산염료(C.I. Disperse Yellow 54, C.I.
The Photocatalytic decolorization and degradation of commercial dyes were studied using a batch reactor. Degussa P25 titanium dioxide and $H_2O_2$ were used as the photocatalyst and proved to be effective for dyes degradation when they were irradiated with UV light. The light source was a 20W low pressure mercury lamp. Three different kinds of dyes, such as direct dye(congo red), acid dye (acid black) and disperse dye(disperse blue) were tested. Extending the UV only treatment up to 120min, direct dye was decolorized to 60% and degraded to 30% as COD. On the other side, acid and disperse dyes were eliminated less than 10% as color and COD. But, color and COD were eliminated about 90% for all of the three dyes by $UV/H_2O_2$ system. And then the most effective decolorization was done for direct dye with 96% removal efficiency by $UV/TiO_2$ system at 120min with 500mg/L of $TiO_2$.
