독서토론 프로그램 효과성 요인에 관한 연구 - 인천광역시 지역아동센터 프로그램을 중심으로 - (The Study on Effective Factors of Reading Discussion for the Young Adults Program of A Local Children Care Center in Incheon)

  • 본 연구는 인천지역아동센터의 초등, 중등학생을 대상으로 시행된 독서토론프로그램을 통하여 독서토론이 효과적으로 시행되기 위한 교육요소와 효과성요인을 조사 분석하였다. 독서토론 교육 요소는 읽기훈련, 쓰기훈련, 발표훈련, 듣기훈련, 생각정리훈련의 5가지이다. 분석결과 학생의 정서지능, 참여자들의 완독수준, 참여횟수, 수업참여자와의 공감도, 독서에 대한 사전 선호도가 효과요인으로 도출되었다. 그 외에 논제의 적합성, 진행자의 역량, 도서선정, 말하기, 글쓰기 등의 기초 교육 병행도 효과요인으로 고려되어야 한다.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 한류의 전개 과정을 살펴보고 학생들과 토의를 통해 한류 발전 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 한류는 1990년대 이후 한국 문화의 세계적 인기를 얻고 유행하는 현상으로 시작하여 상호 문화교류를 지향하는 신한류로 변화하였다. 구체적으로 한류의 구분을 1기에서 4기로 나누어 전개 과정을 살펴보았다. 이 연구는 2022년 1학기 문학과 대중문화 수업 시간에 다룬 주제 중 하나인 한류 주제를 활용하였다. 왜냐하면 한류는 한국 대중문화를 전 세계적으로 확산하였기 때문이다. 이 연구는 한류에 대한 토의를 활용하여 학생들과 연구자의 한류 발전 방안을 제시하였다.

지구과학 천문 영역에서 개념스케치를 활용한 소집단 토론 수업의 효과 (The Effects of Small-group Discussion Lesson Using Concept Sketches in Astronomy of Earth Science)

  • 지구과학의 여러 영역 중에서 특히 천문학은 시공간적 변화를 추상적으로 다루어야 하는 경우가 많다. 이런 천문 영역을 효과적으로 학습할 수 있는 방법으로 개념스케치-간결한 설명, 기호 및 용어를 사용하여 학습할 내용의 주요 특징, 원리, 절차, 관계 등을 나타낸 그림-를 활용하였다. 본 연구에서는 고등학교 1학년 학생들을 대상으로 지구과학 천문 영역에서 개념스케치의 작성 및 토론을 수업에 적용하고 그 효과를 분석하기 위하여 실험 집단과 비교 집단을 선정하여 개념스케치를 활용한 소집단 토론 수업과 전통적인 수업을 각각 실시하였다. 그런 다음 면담 대상자를 선정하여 질문지 검사와 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 자료를 분석한 결과, 개념스케치를 활용한 소집단 토론수업은 상위권과 하위권 학생들의 개념 이해 정도에 효과가 있었으며, 특히 학생들의 적극적인 수업 참여를 이끌어내는 수업 방식이었다. 학생들은 자신의 생각과 의견을 동료들과 교환하는 토론 과정을 거치면서 학습 내용을 장기간 기억할 수 있는 효과를 얻을수 있었고, 무엇보다도 친숙한 느낌을 주는 그림 그리기 활동이 학생들의 수업 흥미도를 높여 주었다.

Conceptual Clothing Design Process Using Cooperative Learning Strategies: Senior Clothing Design Class

  • This paper identified the source of inspiration to cooperatively design a fashion collection from US undergraduate clothing design students and addressed how to implement team-based learning strategy to conceptual clothing design in class. Data was collected from the total of 51 students in a senior clothing design course at a large 4-year university in the US. The assigned project for this class was to develop a group collection under a same theme. Each student worked with his/her team member(s) to create an outfit and the entire class worked as a group to create a cohesive collection. The study showed that the sources of inspiration for the themes/concepts came from 11categories: historic era/old Hollywood glamour, shape/line/structure/architectural, fairy tales movies, nature/abstract, circus/mysterious, occasion/place, object, designer/artist, futuristic, culture, and various movies. To implement cooperative learning strategies in the clothing design class, a total of five class presentation/discussion sessions were held for theme/concept decision, fabric decision, design decision, test garment evaluation and design modification, and final products. Throughout the design process, team-based learning strategy promoted students' engagement and participation and inspired their critical thinking skills for making decisions within a team.

'우주와 지구' 분야에서 초등 예비교사들의 SSI 프로그램 수업 적용 효과 (The Effects on SSI program of elementary pre-service teachers in 'The Universe and the Earth')

  • In this study, find out of recognition of the effect of science, society and ethical aspects on natural disasters and understanding degree of knowledge applying for SSI class aimed at elementary pre-service teachers by developing SSI training program of the 'Earth and Space' field. Also, after SSI class application we examined the change perceptions of elementary pre-service teachers. SSI training program was that elementary pre-service teachers participated in the SSI class of a variety of subjects in the field of 'Earth and Space' and directly joined in the decision-making process and reflectional discussion with colleagues as conducted in this class reflective discussion with the pre-primary teachers pre-service teachers. Elementary pre-service teachers were understanding of the nature of the science and to understand in more depth about the SSI class characteristics. This study, second grade 115 people who was taking 'science and teaching materials' course in B National University of Education at B city participated. In order to apply for SSI class, one semester based on 15 weeks until seven weeks were science and teaching materials and based on the nature of science, after 8 weeks we set the theme of the contents related to the Earth and space and give lesson applied for SSI. During 8 weeks, test subjects 4 classes were taking 50 minutes a week 100 minutes. First time has theoretical lessons in topics related to the 'Earth and space' and on the second week, each classes participate in the decision-making processes respectivly by dicussing and debating on the first week's topic as regarding social and moral aspects of it. We obtained the following results. First, elementary pre-service teachers were acquiring the results of 67% in the knowledge aspects of the 'Earth and space'. This result was determined that most of the elementary pre-service teachers were liberal arts in high school. Second, while participating in the SSI class, elementary pre-service teachers were concretely aware of the nature of SSI and the characteristics of the class. Third, the elementary pre-service teacher are thaught that introduction education courses about 'Earth and space' are needed but most of the students responded that this would require a lot of effort of teachers. This was derived from not familiar class form that did not fulfill in the science teaching methods until now.

온라인 협력학습 기반 집단지성 구축을 위한 교양수업 개발 (The Liberal Arts Education Class Development for Collective Intelligence Establishment Based on Online Collaborative Learning)

  • 본 연구는 기존의 인문학 관련 강좌의 단점을 극복하고자 온라인 협력학습을 기반으로 한, 클라우드 기반수업 환경에서 고전읽기, 토론, 외국어교육을 통합한 교육 모델을 제시하였다. 교육적 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 방안의 사회적 요구와 이 과정에서 도출될 수 있는 '집단지성'의 구축은 학제 간 상호발전을 위해 반드시 필요하며, 이를 실현할 새로운 대학수업 개발의 필요에서 출발하였다. 그러므로 실제 적용 가능한 모델의 제시는 집단지성 구축과 이를 기반으로 한 교육 효과를 확장할 수 있을 것이다. 그 효과를 세 가지 측면으로 제시하였다: 1) 개인의 지성이 집단지성으로 전환될 수 있는 학습 환경을 제공할 수 있다. 2) 학습자들의 고전에 대한 지적 탐구심과 사고내용에 대한 교수자-학습자, 학습자-학습자간의 피드백을 요구하는 능동적 토론 참여를 이끌어 낼 수 있다. 3) 클라우드 기반 온라인 협력학습 환경은 정의적 부담을 낮춰주고 오프라인의 제한적 데이터 제공의 단점을 극복하게 할 수 있다. 그러므로 온라인 협력학습 기반 집단지성 구축을 위한 교육은 인문학을 중심으로 한 영어교육과 토론교육은 물론 교육 전반에 걸쳐 긍정적 결과 도출을 이끌어 낼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

설명 단계를 강조한 POE 과학수업이 초등학생들에게 미치는 효과 (The Effects of POE Science Class Emphasizing Explanation Phase on Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to see the influences of POE science class that emphasizes explanation on science research ability, motivation of science class as well as scientific attitude of elementary students. The results drawn from this analysis were as below. Firstly, positive relationship was found between science research ability and POE science class was shown among research group. This shows that science research ability was improved as POE science class encouraged the research activities of students. It indicates that POE science class emphasizing explanation is effective in improving science research ability of students. Secondly, positive relationship was found between motivation of science class and POE science class among research group and this means that POE science class that emphasizes explanation stimulates intellectual curiosity of students and improves their attitude by actively promoting research activities. Thirdly, there was a positive relationship between scientific attitude and POE science class among research group. This presents that POE science class emphasizing explanation is effective in improving students' attitude toward science by promoting research activities. Above results show that POE science class emphasizing explanation is highly effective for elementary students. It is considered that scientific writing, discussion and debate classes have positive influences on research ability, motivation of science class and scientific attitude of elementary students. Thus, it is needed to apply POE science class to current science class as it can promote wider scientific activities among students.

문제중심학습 기반 컴퓨터활용 수업 모형 개발 (Development of PBL-Based Computer Application Instruction Model)

  • 창의성이 강조되는 교육환경에서 사고의 범위를 넓힐 수 있는 그룹별 토론이나 창의성을 개발하기 위한 컴퓨터활용 수업 모형이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 그룹별 컴퓨터활용 교육에서 발생하는 문제점들을 사전 조사한 후 창의성을 고려한 웹 기반 수업 모형을 제안하였다. 수업 모형의 이론적 배경으로는 PBL을 기반으로 하였으며 웹 마인드 맵을 토론과 자료공유를 위한 도구로 활용하여 수업의 효율성과 함께 집단의 창의성도 함께 고려하였다. 제안한 수업 모형을 프레젠테이션 제작 과목을 신청한 학생들에게 적용한 결과 의사소통이나 자료공유, 역할분담, 기여도의 차이, 과다 시간 소요 등에 대한 불만이 줄어드는 확률적으로 유의미한 결과가 나타났다.

PBL을 활용한 <드레이핑> 교과 수업사례 및 학습효과 연구 (A case study of problem-based learning (PBL) in classes)

  • Universities have recently introduced problem-based learning (PBL) to various subjects to enhance problem-solving skills (including self-directed learning and small-group learning) required in industry. The PBL module was applied to the personal production process in a draping class. A study was based on a questionnaire after conducting two PBL modules with a group of students. Each PBL module included 'design analysis', 'presentation of flat sketch and draping plan', 'discussion of the plan', 'evaluation of the draping result and correcting the problem', and 'final evaluation of the completed project'. Results showed that satisfaction with the PBL method and its activities was higher than satisfaction with existing teaching methods. In particular, among the various components, the 'design analysis' and 'the presentation step of flat sketch and draping plan' stages were more helpful to students compared to small-group discussion. Moreover, the effects of PBL were observed through student reflection essays, in which students suggested that PBL was very effective in enhancing problem-solving through self-directed and small-group learning. Despite the overall satisfaction with PBL, students expressed some minor difficulties associated with awkwardness with a novel learning method, lack of diverse perspectives among each group, and poor communication skills. Therefore, the study shows that PBL is highly likely to be useful to students when they are solving pattern drafting problems and making samples through self-directed learning and small-group learning.

발명영재교육 운영체제별 초등 발명영재 수업내용 및 수업활동 분석 (Characteristics of Learning Contents and Activities According to the Invention Education Managerial System for the Gifted at Elementary School Level)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze elementary school students' class contents and activities between the invention class for the gifted under the local education office by the 'Gifted Education Promotion Act' and that under the invention classroom by the 'Invention Promotion Act'. For this study, the survey was conducted to 1,788 elementary school students who attended the invention class for the gifted both under the local education office and under the invention classroom. The analysis of the survey showed that the students of the invention class for the gifted under the local education office had higher motivation and participation rate in class, higher interest in invention, and stronger significantly in a future oriented will than those under the invention classroom. The parents of the invention class for the gifted under the local education office showed more enthusiastic attitude to support their students, and had significantly stronger recognition that the participation of the students in the invention education for the gifted helped enter an advanced school than those under the invention classroom. However, the class contents of the invention class for the gifted under the local education office such as 'understanding the influence of the invention history and products on society', 'scientific inquiry skills for problem solving', 'technological and engineering abilities for creating an invention', 'developing knowledge and abilities about business and management by using a new invention' were not different from those under the invention classroom. In addition, discussion and presentation were not active in the class activities of the invention class for the gifted under the local education office. Therefore, the researchers should compensate and develop a program which can apply strategically differentiated class contents and class activities to the students who participate in the invention class for the gifted under the local education office by the 'Gifted Education Promotion Act'.
