전황(錢潢)의 『상한소원집(傷寒溯源集)』에 대한 고찰(考察) (A Study on Qianhuang(錢潢)'s Shanghansuyuanji(傷寒溯源集))

  • Objectives : The purpose of this paper is to study the form, contents and special features found in Qianhuang's life, books, his relationship with his disciples and Shanghansuyuanji's edition and its pass-ons. Methods : The best version among Shanghansuyuanji's copies was selected. Based on this, Qianhuang's life, books and his relationship with his disciples were studied, and Shanghansuyuanji's edition and its pass-ons, form and contents were analyzed. Results & Conclusions: Through study, first I see that Qianhuang was born in the early period of Qing Dynasty and died after the publication of Shanghansuyuanji, Suwen's annotation book probably had not been published yet, his mentor were Fangyouzhi and Yujiayan. Second, I see that he organized Shanghanlun sentences from his own perspective of cause of a disease and cure method. Third, I see that he viewed the diseases of six meridians with the perspective of yinyang and explained the concept of three yins and three yangs in relation to yinyang's ups and downs, and his Yuggyeongjasu theory made possible various interpretations of disease mechanism. Fourth, I see that he held critical views towards the Shanghanlun sentences through the Error Discrimination. Fifth, I see that he viewed disease mechaniam in interdependent relationships or from the point of view of the School of Warming and Tonifying through the Meaning of Herbal Formula. Sixth, I see that he sometimes quoted Neijing in proper ways that fit the disease mechanism in Shanghanlun. On the other hand, he quoted Neijing solely for the reason that identical words are used, but some of these were not proper. Additionally, he criticized the aforementioned annotators for improper quoting Neijing. Consequentially, for reasons mentioned above Qianhuang's Shanghansuyuanji has great importance as a Shanghanlun annotation book.

Effects of Water Deficit on Biomass Accumulation and Water Use Efficiency in Soybean during Vegetative Growth Period

  • Water deficit is the primary constraint of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] yield, and a physiological understanding of processes affected by water deficit is a key step in identifying and improving drought tolerance in soybean. The objectives of this research were to evaluate biomass and nitrogen accumulation patterns and water use efficiency (WUE) as possible mechanisms associated with the drought tolerance of Jackson. Biomass accumulation of Jackson was contrasted with the PI416937, which also has demonstrated tolerance to drought. For water-deficit treatment, total biomass accumulation was negligible for PI416937, but biomass accumulation continued at approximately 64 % of the well-watered treatment of Jackson. Transpirational losses for Jackson and PI416937 were approximately the same for the water-deficit treatment, indicating that Jackson had superior WUE. Isotopic discrimination of $^{13}$ C relative to $^{12}$ C also indicated that Jackson had higher WUE. Results indicated that increased WUE for Jackson under water deficit showed it was tolerant to drought rather than had an avoidance mechanism.

Fluorescence Switching of Conjugated Polyelectrolyte based on Polydiphenylacetylene

  • Polydiphenylacetylene (PDPA) derivatives are a class of conjugated polymer that contain intramolecular excimer emission originating the intramolecular stack structure. In contrast with conventional conjugated polymer, the fluorescence property of PDPA significantly depends on the intramolecular stack structure. In this regard, herein, we investigated new fluorescence switching mechanism of conjugated polyelectrolyte (CPE) based on PDPA. The developed CPE showed relatively weak fluorescence emission in water, while the polymer exhibited a great fluorescence amplification behavior by electrostatic complex with proteins. In addition, the CPE is highly sensitive to binding with a little protein despite of turn-on type fluorescence response. We found that the fluorescence switching of the CPE closely relate to a perturbation of the intramolecular stack structure. The new fluorescence switching mechanism of the CPE is very useful for protein assays and discrimination and it also would be provide new sensing approaches as basic sensing mechanism.

전수면박탈이 시각변별력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Total Sleep Deprivation on Visual Discrimination)

  • 목 적 : 본 연구는 37시간의 수면박탈이 정상인의 시각변별력에 미치는 영향을 Cybernetic Flicker Fusion Analyzer(FLIMK)를 사용하여 평가를 하고자 하였으며, 이런 수면박탈의 시각변별력에의 영향이 졸음, 피로, 불안 및 기분상태와 어떤 연관성이 있는지를 조사하였다. 방 법 : 26명의 대상(남:녀=20:6, $24.50{\pm}1.45$세)이 연구에 참여하였으며, 37시간 동안 감시하에서 수면박탈이 시행되었다. 이틀간의 실험기간 동안 아침, 저녁에 한 차례씩 총 4회에 걸쳐 FLIMK와 졸음, 피로, 불안, 기분상태에 대한 자가보고 척도를 시행하였다. 결 과 : FLIMK 검사결과, 융합주파수는 37시간의 수면 박탈에 의하여 유의하게 감소하였다(p<0.05). 융합주파수에 이르는 검사회수(반응회수)도 수면박탈 후에 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). 융합주파수의 감소는 졸음과 피로도의 증가와 상관관계를 보였으며(p<0.05), 반응회수는 불안, 피로 및 부정적 정서와 상관관계를 보였다(p<0.05). 결 론 : 본 연구는 37시간의 수면박탈이 시각변별력의 저하를 가져오는 것을 보여주었다. 향후 수면박탈이 시각변별력에 영향을 미치는 기전에 관한 연구가 필요하다고 하겠다.

발달성 읽기 장애 진단을 위한 단어/비단어 읽기 검사와 글자기호감별검사의 표준화 연구 (STANDARDIZATION OF WORD/NONWORD READING TEST AND LETTER-SYMBOL DISCRIMINATION TASK FOR THE DIAGNOSIS OF DEVELOPMENTAL READING DISABILITY)

  • 목 적:발달성 읽기 장애는 정상적인 읽기 능력의 현저한 발달 저하나 지속적인 오류를 보이는 질환이며, 학령기 아동의 $3{\sim}7$%에서 관찰된다. 기존에 사용되는 기초학습기능검사의 단점을 보완하고 발달성 읽기 장애의 진단과 평가를 위해 단어/비단어 읽기 검사와 글자기호감별검사의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 방 법:DSM-IV의 진단 기준과 임상적인 판단에 근거하여 읽기 장애 아동 63명(평균 연령 10.48세)과 정상 아동 77명(평균 연령 10.33세)을 대상으로 하였다. 이들에게 기초학습기능검사의 읽기 I과 II목을 실시하였고, 단어/비단어 읽기 검사와 글자기호감별검사를 시행하였다. 단어/비단어 읽기 검사는 각 100문항씩의 익숙한 단어와 의미를 갖지 않는 생소한 비단어를 각각 1.2초와 2.4초안에 읽도록 하여, 이를 통해 자동화된 음운 처리 능력과 의식적인 글자-음소 처리 능력을 평가하였다. 글자기호감별검사를 통해 읽기 장애 환자들이 오류를 일으키는 거울상 반전 글자들의 조합을 판별하는 능력을 검사하였다. 이들 검사의 내적 일치도 등의 신뢰도 검사와 공존타당도, 구성타당도, 판별타당도 등을 검증하였다. 결 과:단어/비단어 읽기 검사는 내적 일치도가 0.96으로서 신뢰할 수 있고, 기초학습기능검사와 0.94의 공존타당도를 나타내었으며, 단어와 비단어 모두 발달성 읽기 장애와 정상 아동을 통계적으로 구분할 수 있었고, 판별 분석에서 원집단에 속한 83.0%를 정확하게 판별할 수 있었다. 글자기호감별검사는 내적 일치도가 0.86으로서 신뢰할 수 있고, 기초학습기능검사와 0.86의 공존타당도를 나타내었으며, 요인 분석 결과 안구 운동 거울상 처리, 전반적 정확성, 거울상 반전 오류, 정지상 처리, 전반적 기민성 부족, 부주의-충동성 등의 여섯 요인으로 구성되어 있었다. 글자기호감별검사의 각 항목 별로 발달성 읽기 장애와 정상 아동을 통계적으로 구분할 수 있었으며, 판별분석에서 원집단에 속한 대상의 87.3%를 정확하게 판별할 수 있었다. 결 론:발달성 읽기 장애 아동은 읽기 과정의 자동적인 시각-의미 연결 기전과 의식적인 형태소-음소 상응 규칙 적용 능력 모두에서 장애를 보였으며, 거울상 반전 오류 등 시각적 정보 처리 기능의 장애도 나타내었다. 이들 장애는 단어/비단어 읽기 검사와 글자기호감별검사를 통해 신뢰할 수 있고 타당성 있게 구분하고 평가할 수 있었다.

왜곡 저항력이 강한 저작권 침해 영상 저작물 판별 기법 (A Discriminating Mechanism of Suspected Copyright Infringement Video with Strong Distortion Resistance)

  • 클라우드 환경의 발전에 따른 스트리밍 플랫폼과 콘텐츠의 증가로 합법적인 콘텐츠뿐만 아니라 불법 복제된 콘텐츠 또한 빠른 속도로 증가하고 있다. 따라서 다양한 콘텐츠에 대한 저작권 침해 여부를 판별할 수 있는 기술의 개발이 요구된다. 한국저작권보호원에서는 AI를 활용한 영상 콘텐츠 실증시스템을 운영하고 있지만, 해상도 변화와 같은 왜곡에 대해 한계점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스켈레톤 정보를 활용하여 불법 스트리밍 플랫폼에서 유통 중인 영상 콘텐츠에 대해 왜곡 저항력이 강한 저작권 침해 여부 판단 기술을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 빠른 연산을 위해 수집된 데이터를 이진 데이터로 변환하여 원본 영상과의 해밍거리를 계산하는 방법을 사용하였으며, 실험 결과 평균 215KB의 크기와 94.79%의 정확도로 불법 복제 영상물을 판별할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

NJ+: An Efficient Congestion Control Mechanism for Wireless Networks

  • Transmission control protocols have to overcome common problems in wireless networks. TCP employing both packet loss discrimination mechanism and available bandwidth estimation algorithm, known as the good existing solution, shows significant performance enhancement in wireless networks. For instance, TCP New Jersey which exhibits high throughput in wireless networks intends to improve TCP performance by using available bandwidth estimation and congestion warning. Even though it achieves 17% and 85% improvements in terms of goodput over TCP Westwood and TCP Reno, respectively, we further improve it by exploring maximized available bandwidth estimation, handling bit-error-rate error recovery, and effective adjustment of sending rate for retransmission timeout. Hence, we propose TCP NJ+, showing that for up to 5% packet loss rate, it outperforms other TCP variants by 19% to 104% in terms of goodput when the network is in bi-directional background traffic.

  • Forest biomass is the basis of forest ecosystem. With the rapid development of remote sensing and computer technology, forest biomass estimation using remote sensing data is paid great attention and has acquired great achievements. This article focuses on discussion of methods of forest biomass estimation methods using Terra/MODIS data in Northeast China. The research include: combining the MODIS time series parameters with seasonal characteristics of forest species to identify major forest species; establishing a model to estimate forest biomass based on forest species; analyzing the effects of the existent forest biomass and increasing biomass on terrestrial carbon cycle. This research can help to make clear the mechanism of carbon cycle.

  • In this paepr, we propose an intelligent double talk detector that can enhance the performance of the acoustic echo cancellation system. The conventional double talk detection methods often misunderstand the echo path changes as double talk. Although there exist several detection methods that can distinguish the echo path changes from the double-talks, they show poor tracking performance because of the excessive decision delay for the discrimination and can only be used after the adaptive digital filter converges. A new and more effective ditetion algorithm has been proposed, where the detection mechanism is performed by observing the change rate of the reflection coefficients of the two lattice predictors that re placed on the near-end and far-end terminals. The excellence of the proposed method is verified by extensive computer simulations using real speech signals.

Brain Mechanisms of Cognitive, Emotional and Behavioral Aspects of Taste

  • Taste is associated with hedonic evaluation as well as recognition of quality and intensity. Taste information is sent to the cortical gustatory area in a chemotopical manner to be processed for discrimination of taste quality. It is also conveyed to the reward system and feeding center via the prefrontal cortices. The amygdala, which receives taste inputs, also influences reward and feeding. In terms of neuroactive substances, palatability is closely related to benzodiazepine derivatives and $\beta$-endorphin, both of which facilitate consumption of food and fluid. The reward system contains the ventral tegmental area, nucleus accumbens and ventral pallidum and finally sends information to the lateral hypothalamic area, the feeding center. The dopaminergic system originating from the ventral tegmental area mediates the motivation to consume palatable food. The actual ingestive behavior is promoted by the orexigenic neuropeptides from the hypothalamus. Even palatable food can become aversive and avoided as a consequence of postingestional unpleasant experience such as malaise. The brain mechanism of these aspects of taste is elucidated.
