간결한 예측 모형에 기반한 납축전지의 정전류-정전압 충전시간 특성화 (CC-CV Charging Time Characteristics of Lead-Acid Batteries Based on Compact Estimation Model)

  • Modern embedded systems are typically operated by the rechargeable batteries in our daily life. Since charge of batteries is considered as an time consuming task, there have been extensive efforts to manage the charge time from the perspective of materials, circuits, and systems. Estimation of battery charge time is one of the essential information to design the charge circuitry. A compact macro model for the constant-current and constant-voltage charge protocol was recently introduced, which gives us a quick estimation of charge time with similar shape to the famous Peukert's law for discharge time estimation. The CC-CV charging protocol is widely used for Lithium-based batteries and Lead-acid batteries. In this paper, we characterize the lead-acid battery by measurement to extract the model coefficients, which was not covered by the previous studies. By our proposed model, the key coefficient Kcc results in 1.18-1.31, which is little bit higher than that of Lithium batteries. The accuracy of our model is within the range of ${\pm}10%$ error, which is compatible with the other studies such as Peukert's law.

  • 대도시 대기오염의 대부분이 자동차 배출가스에 의해서 이루어지고 있으며, 세계적으로 환경오염에 대한 규제수준이 점차 강화되고 있어 저공해의 환경 친화적인 자동차의 개발과 보급이 요구되고 있으며, 고유가 시대에서 이미 국내 외에서 개발 양산중인 하이브리드 자동차의 급속한 시장 확대가 예상된다. 하이브리드 자동차에서 전기에너지를 저장하는 배터리는 가장 중요한 구성요소 중 하나이며, 하이브리드 자동차용 배터리(전기에너지를 저장하는 2차 전지)는 순간적으로 에너지를 방출하는 특성 즉 고출력 특성이 일차적으로 요구되며, 자동차 부품으로서의 신뢰성과 내구성이 확보되어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 하이브리드 자동차에 장착되는 2차 전지의 충 방전 상태를 안정적으로 모니터링 하는 시스템과 전지의 충 방전 성능을 극대화할 수 있고 충 방전 제어가 가능한 실시간 충 방전 모니터링 시스템을 제안하였다. 논문에서 새롭게 제안한 감지부와 제어부로 구성되는 충 방전 시스템은 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 모듈과 실시간으로 셀 배터리의 충 방전 상태를 효율적으로 제어할 수 있으며 데이터베이스와 통신모듈을 기반으로 원격제어가 가능한 시스템이다.

정극 활물질 Li(Cr0.4Mn0.6)O2의 충ㆍ방전 특성 (Charge-discharge Properties of Positive Active Material Li(Cr0.4Mn0.6)O2)

  • An impedance properties of the positive active material Li(Cr$_{0.4}$Mn$_{0.6}$)O$_2$ are measured by the changeable trend to the time. The charge-discharge capacities of 297 mAh(g)$^{-1}$ 175 mAh(g)$^{-1}$ are obtained by the made cell with the active material that the Cr was added to LiMnO$_2$ to prevent structural degradation of an electrode active material with impedance of 75 Ω to get at an initial hour. Resultantly, these variations which the impedances enhanced continually, were not watched the impeditive variations as the results of the delay time that the positive thin films and the references have been soaked all together in the solution of electrolyte of 1M LiPF$_{6}$ EC/DEC(l/2). Accordingly, it means an amount increased of the discharged capacities in the view of the results that the impeditive values were decreased are known already through a authorized paper.per.

교류형 플라즈마 디스플레이에서 단일 유지 파형을 가지는 기입 방전의 특성의 연구 (Study on Characteristics of Write Discharge with Single Sustain Waveform in AC Plasma Display Panel )

  • The characteristics of write discharge were investigated when the conventional driving method with the unipolar sustain voltages, and the single sustain driving method applying the bipolar sustain voltage were applied in an AC plasma display. In the case of having a single sustain waveform, the strength of the write discharge is weakened compared to the conventional driving method during the address period, because the wall charge inside the panel is more dissipated by the lower scanning voltage. In the driving method with a single sustain waveform, the bias voltage of the other electrodes was changed to improve the write discharge characteristics. As a result, the intensity of the discharge was enhanced by 32% and the delay time was shortened by 60 ㎲.

  • To investigate degradation procedure and life time of the oxidized PE and the unoxidized PE, alternative voltage is applied to the CIGRE Method-II (CM-II) electrode system, which is loaded artificial void, and measures the distribution of partial discharging generation. From the results, the samples etched by oxidation had wide degradation area of dielectric strength. Furthermore, discharge starting voltage was shifted to low voltage, the discharge generation frequency was high and consequently, the quantity of mean charge becomes small. Also, life time of the oxdized sample is shortened according as the oxidation time is longer.

  • 본 연구는 1,080개의 주사선수를 가지는 full-HD PDP를 위한 새로운 고속구동방식에 관한 것으로 고속 어드레스에 의한 표시방전의 방전특성을 고찰하여 새로운 구동방식의 특성을 평가하였다. 이 구동방식에서 어드레스 펄스의 폭이 좁아지면 최초 표시방전의 상대적 방전강도와 방전지연시간은 그 영향을 받는다. 어드레스 펄스의 인가위치의 변화는 방전강도와 무관하나 방전지연시간에는 영향을 미친다. 그러나 어드레스 펄스의 인가위치가 [$6{\mu}s$]이내이고 펄스의 폭이 [$0.7{\mu}s$]이내라면, 어드레스 펄스의 인가위치나 폭에 무관하게 안정된 표시방전을 유도할 수 있다. 실험결과로부터 폭이 좁은 어드레스 펄스를 사용하는 고속구동기술은 축적되는 벽전하의 부족으로 인해 공간전하의 영향에 매우 민감하다는 것을 알았다.

  • The existing capacitor-testers could only judge the condition of capacitor is normal or abnormal, and could not inform the real characteristics of the tested capacitors. In this research, it has designed the real-time observation of the new capacitor in charge and discharge tester for showing capacitor conditions and classification through wide voltages by regular cycle-tests. And proposed the quality classification algorithm of capacitors for more simple and practical, and approve them by test.

  • A new PDP cell structure called CSP(Charge Storage Pad) improves the luminous efficiency by 1.6 times and prevents cross talk between adjacent cells. The CSP, which is a conducting material, is inserted between the dielectric layer and the MgO film in the front plate. This CSP produces a longer time-averaged discharge path to get a high luminous efficiency and confines the discharge to prevent cross talk.

  • We studied the dependence of the electrical characteristics of MgO protecting layer on temperature in an AC PDP cell. Careful measurements of the surface resistance of MgO were performed for the temperature range from room temperature to $100^{\circ}C$ with and without the VUV illumination. Experimental results show that the resistivity is affected by not only the temperature but also VUV irradiation. The measurement of wall charge distribution and the address discharge delay time as to the temperature show that the resistivity change of MgO may affect the wall voltage and consequently the discharge delay time.
