The purpose of this study is to develop the contents of a health care program for the disabled led by nursing students and to verify the effect of the program operation on the disability awareness and disability acceptance attitude of participating university students. Ten nursing students participated in the development and operation of the program, and the validity of the developed program was confirmed through a group of experts. After participating in the program operation, it was confirmed that nursing students' disability awareness (Z=-2.80, p=.002) and disability acceptance attitude (Z=-2.66, p=.006) all improved. Various efforts should be made, such as utilizing the health care program for the disabled presented in this study, as an experiential program to properly equip university students with awareness and attitude toward disability as a social competency.

This study attempted to figure out new teaching method of mathematics teaching-learning by applying Polya's 4-level strategy to mild disability students at the H Special-education high school where the research works for. In particular, epilogue and suggestion, which Polya stressed were selected and reconstructed for mild disability students. Prior test and post test were carried by putting the Polya's problem solving strategy as independent variable, and problem solving ability as dependent variable. As a result, by continual use of Polya's program in mathematics teaching course, it suggested necessary strategies to solve mathematics problems for mild disability students and was proven that Polya's heuristic training was of help to improve problem solving in mathematics.

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in the concern and attitudes of Nursing students toward the disabled before and after the disability experience program. Method: 151 Nursing students with clinical practice in National rehabilitation hospital were conveniently selected as the subject. All subjects had experience the disability program, and their attitudes toward the disabled were measured before and after the 3hours' program. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS 11.0 with paired t-test. Results: 1. The concern toward the disabled after their disability experience program was more positive than before(t=-4.930, p=.000). 2. The attitudes toward the disabled after their disability experience program was more positive than before(t=5.892, p=.000). 3. The appreciation of daily life after their disability experience program was higher than before(t=-8.563, p= .000). Conclusion: In summary, the disability experience program should be effective in order to promote the positive attitude toward the disabled. Therefore expansion of this program is of profound significant.

본 연구는 대학생의 장애인식에 영향을 미치는 개인적 환경적 요인을 확인하고, 장애인식을 긍정적으로 개선시킬 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 편의 표본 추출을 통해 총 1,998명의 대상자에게 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 이 중 설문조사에 동의하지 않았거나 결측값이 있는 41명의 설문을 제외한 총 1,957명의 설문지를 분석하였다. 설문지는 일반적 특성, 장애관련 경험, 장애인식에 대한 항목으로 구성되어 있으며 장애인식 항목은 4점 Likert 척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Window 24.0 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였으며, 기술적 통계분석, t-검정, 분산분석, 다중회귀분석을 사용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 응답한 대학생들의 장애인식 총점은 평균 40.52로 긍정적인 점수에 가까웠다. 둘째, 여학생의 장애인식이 남학생보다 긍정적이었으며, 4학년의 장애인식이 가장 긍정적이었다. 셋째, 학과에 따라서는 비 재활관련학과 학생의 장애인식이 재활관련학과 학생의 장애인식보다 유의하게 긍정적으로 나타났다. 넷째, 지인 중 장애인이 있거나 지인 중 보건계열 종사가 있는 대학생들의 장애인식이 유의하게 긍정적으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 장애인 관련기관에 봉사경험 유무를 기준으로 비교해 보았을 때 봉사경험이 있는 학생의 장애인식이 유의하게 긍정적이었다. 마지막으로 대학생들의 장애인식에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인은 성별, 학과, 지인 중 장애인의 유무, 장애관련 기관 봉사경험의 유무인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대학생들의 장애인에 대한 인식을 개선시키기 위해서는 이론적인 학습보다 장애인과의 긍정적인 경험을 활성화하는 것이 필요할 것이다.

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate undergraduate student's attitudes toward person with disabilities. Design: Questionnaire-based study Methods: This study conducted a survey of 350 undergraduate students attending two universities in cities B and C from March to April 2024. Out of a total of 350 questionnaires, 334 questionnaires were analyzed after excluding 16 questionnaires due to incomplete content. The questionnaire was revised and enhanced by the researchers and was supplemented through revision and verification by another occupational therapist as professor. Results: As a result of the study, significant differences in undergraduate students' positive attitudes toward the disabled were found to be gender and taking disability-related curriculum, while significant differences in negative attitudes were found to be gender, presence of a disabled person in the family, and religion. Gender, taking disability-related curriculum, and religion showed significant differences in neutral attitude, and in all areas, gender, taking disability-related subjects, having a family member with a disability, and religion showed significant differences. Conclusions: Factors that influence undergraduate students' attitudes toward person with disabilities include gender, whether or not they take disability-related curriculum, whether a family member is disabled, and religion. As our society's policies and perceptions of person with disabilities are rapidly changing, in order to improve our society's attitude and awareness of disabilities, we need to provide students with a correct understanding of disabilities and develop positive attitudes through positive experiences about disabilities. Educational programs should be provided.

본 연구는 비장애학생의 장애학생에 대한 인식을 개선하기 위해 학교특색활동과 아침자습활동으로서 장애이해교육 프로그램을 구성하고 정규 교육과정 시간에 적용한 후, 비장애학생의 장애학생에 대한 인식 및 수용 태도에 변화가 있는지 알아보았다. 이를 위해 경기, 인천 지역에 소재한 일반초등학교 저학년 (3학년) 및 고학년(5학년)의 각 한개 학급의 비장애학생을 대상으로 장애 인식 및 수용태도에 미친 영향을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 장애이해교육 프로그램 적용 전 후 비장애학생들의 장애학생들에 대한 인식과 수용 태도 전체 평균 점수는 통계적으로 유의미한 변화가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 학교특색활동과 아침자습활동의 일환으로 실시되는 장애이해교육은 비장애학생의 장애인식 및 장애수용태도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 그러나 세부적으로 초등학교 저학년의 경우 장애인식 및 장애수용태도에서 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타난 일부 하위 요소들을 통하여 초등학교 저학년 비장애학생의 장애학생에 대한 장애 인식 및 수용태도 변화와 관련하여 면밀하게 관심을 가져야 할 요소와 대안을 논의하였다.

경부 통증은 청소년과 성인에서 흔히 경험된다. 경부장애지수는 경부통의 상태를 평가하기 위하여 가장 흔히 사용되는 자가보고 방식이다. 이 연구의 목적은 일부 대학생의 경부장애지수에 대한 분포를 조사하는 것이다. 자료는 대학생(남성: 229, 여성: 405)을 위한 NDI 설문지로 수집되었다. 통계학적 분석은 SPSS 12. 0으로 이루어졌고, 기술통계, 독립표본 t-test와 피어슨 상관분석을 사용하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경부장애의 정도를 나타내는 두 번째 선택 안에서 높은 항목은 '두통'으로 나타났고, 세 번째 선택 안에서 높은 항목은 통증정도로 나타났다. 둘째, 여성이 남성보다 더 높은 경부장애지수, 백분율, 경부장애등급을 나타냈다(p<0.05). 셋째, 남성은 '장애 없음'이 63.8%, '경도 장애'가 35.4%, '중등도 장애'가 0.9%로 나타났고, 여성은 '장애 없음'이 53.6%, '경도 장애'가 44.7%, '중등도 장애'가 1.5%, '중증 장애'가 0.2%로 나타났다. 마지막으로 경부장애지수등급은 경부장애지수 항목과 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 본 연구의 결과들은 장래의 임상적, 역학적 연구 자료에 기초를 제공할 수 있을 것이며, 경부장애의 예방과 관리에 대한 적절한 교육과 대책이 필요함을 나타낸다.

Educators have been making strides in the research into and practices supporting the policy of mainstreaming students with disability. A move towards including students with intellectual disability in community schools with all the other students can be seen in many countries' education systems, including that of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The 'rights of the child' has been the main argument put forward by advocates of this policy in an attempt to move from the medical to the social model. This study argues that, although mainstreaming can be viewed as a positive trend toward effective education, its implementation remains somewhat problematic. It is believed that more investigative research into professionals' attitudes is needed to improve service provision and inform the administration of mainstreaming practices. The attitudes of special education teachers on the policy of mainstreaming are examined and emerging key themes discussed. Furthermore, challenges that continue to inhibit mainstreaming practices in Saudi Arabia are identified.

본 연구는 통합교육이 보편화한 초등학교에서 학생들의 장애수용 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위하여 실시되었다. 이를 위하여 2019년 9월 전라남도 3곳의 초등학교 4~6학년 학생 472명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, SPSS 23.0을 사용하여 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 성별, 학년은 장애수용 태도에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 반면에 공감 능력, 접촉 경험, 장애아동에 대한 지식의 순으로 장애수용 태도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통하여 지식습득에 앞서 타인에 대한 공감 능력을 향상하는 것이 초등학생의 장애수용 태도 증진에 더욱 중요하며, 이를 위한 프로그램과 교육의 개발을 제안하였다. 또한, 접촉 경험이 장애수용 태도에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나, 더 긍정적인 장애 관련 경험을 증진할 필요성을 제안하였다.

This article examines the accessibility and usability of library websites to students with visual and physical disabilities in public universities in Kenya. The study used survey research design and adopted a mixed methods approach. Data were gathered using survey questionnaire, focus group discussions, structured interviews, and observation. The study population consisted of six public universities that had a longstanding tradition of enrolling students with disabilities. Census was used to obtain a study sample comprising of students with visual disabilities (86), students with physical disabilities (91), University Librarians (6), Personnel from Disability Mainstreaming departments (6), Systems Librarians (6) and Library Personnel who provided information services to students with disabilities (133). The Social Model of Disability and IFLA Access to Libraries for Persons with Disabilities checklist were used as conceptual and theoretical framework in the study. Study results revealed that all the libraries had library websites. However, the websites did not have disability services page or information specific to individuals with disabilities. Also a section of students with disabilities lacked awareness of the existence of library websites and e-resources available through them. Additionally, the website design posed various access challenges. The study concluded that people with disabilities were excluded from access and use of library websites in public universities. The authors recommended that library websites must contain disability services page containing information specific to persons with disabilities. Moreover, libraries should evaluate their websites to ensure compliance with W3C requirements for web content accessibility. Additionally, libraries should develop disability policy to provide guidance on provision of information services to persons with disabilities.
