  • The digital response is an excellent infection prevention and control measure to minimize person-to-person contact when a respiratory infectious disease is rapidly spreading. However, few studies have explored the reasons for the development and utilization of these technologies. Here, we analyze documents by the Korean government, existing research, and news articles to provide a qualitative review of the digital response, and new concepts explored by Korea during coronavirus disease 2019, to apply them for the next infectious disease outbreak.

  • In order to establish the correct direction for the use of digital textbooks in the future, it is necessary to derive implications for improving the domestic digital textbook utilization policy by analyzing the actual conditions of other countries that are already using digital textbooks. Therefore, in this paper, we compared the policies of using digital textbooks in the United States, Canada, Malaysia, and China, and reviewed ways to improve Korea's digital textbook policies. First, each country's digital textbook promotion subject and strategy, scope of use, issuance system, and usage method were compared, and then the implications of each country's digital textbook policy were analyzed. And based on these implications, a plan to improve Korea's digital textbook policy was suggested. It is expected that this will be used as meaningful basic data in preparing policies for the development of digital textbooks in the future.

  • The flood caused landslide disaster each year because of climate change. And the change of topography from an earthquake makes topographical analysis impossible. This paper performed an investigation about a utilization methods and generation DEM(Digital Elevation Model) after digital aerial photographs quickly when the topographical change happens. Stereo imagery that was collected through digital aerial photographs made a generation of DEM possible. A standard deviation of generated DEM is 0.864m which is somewhat high but shows the real topography. As a result, it should be possible to generate DEM by using aerial photographs in case of the change of topography.

  • This exploratory study aims to understand the potential of log data analysis and expand its utilization in user research methods. Transaction log data are records of electronic interactions that have occurred between users and web services, reflecting information-seeking behavior in the context of digital libraries where users interact with the service system during the search for information. Two ways were used to analyze South Korea's National Digital Science Library (NDSL) log data for three days, including 150,000 data: a log pattern analysis, and log context analysis using statistics. First, a pattern-based analysis examined the general paths of usage by logged and unlogged users. The correlation between paths was analyzed through a χ2 analysis. The subsequent log context analysis assessed 30 identified users' data using basic statistics and visualized the individual user information-seeking behavior while accessing NDSL. The visualization shows included 30 diverse paths for 30 cases. Log analysis provided insight into general and individual user information-seeking behavior. The results of log analysis can enhance the understanding of user actions. Therefore, it can be utilized as the basic data to improve the design of services and systems in the digital library to meet users' needs.

  • The world is paying a lot of attention to digital twins to preoccupy future technological competitiveness. Digital twins can be used in various fields such as manufacturing, medical care, and cities. Various market research institutes predict that the market size of digital twins will gradually expand. Korea has also selected digital twin as one of the representative tasks of the Korean version of the New Deal and is promoting related policies. However, a common platform or standard for building digital twins is not enough. Interoperability is a very important characteristic for the purpose of creating new value through interconnection between digital twins rather than independently developing and utilizing digital twins. The Digital Twin Consortium is an international council for the effective development and utilization of digital twins, and is working to solve the problem of digital twin interoperability. The Digital Twin Consortium recently published the 'Digital Twin System Interoperability Framework', and this paper analyzes the digital twin interoperability based on it.

  • In this paper, we divided domestic and foreign digital cultural activation policies into four types. We also described projects of each policy and analyzed the limitations of the policy. Finally, we suggested solutions to overcome these limitations. Changes in daily life caused by the recent development of 5G network technology, augmented reality, and virtual reality technology have brought many changes in the way of preservation and utilization of cultural heritage. In particular, digital technology is used for digitization of cultural heritage, storing, and managing digital data, digitally restoring cultural heritage, and enabling time, space, multi-sensory experiences. For this purpose, new policies was required to utilize this. This study divides domestic and international digital heritage policies into digital infrastructure construction, sharing and communication platform construction, public relations, and demonstration contents production support policies. This study is meaningful in classifying the fields of digital heritage policy and introducing digital heritage policy trends. It is also meaningful to suggest ways to improve digital heritage policies through analysis of domestic and foreign cases.

  • A fuzzy digital controller is combined an autopilot system for compensating the cross coupling effect of the induced roll due to the dynamic characteristic of three fin torpedo. However the utilization of fuzzy chip has many interfacing problems with typical microprocessors of the guidance and control unit. Since a fuzzy digital controller on a microprocessor uses a finite word length A/D converters arul D/A converters, ADC and DAC may generate nonlinear effects such as deadband and limit cycle phenomena. In this paper, the robustness of fuzzy digital controller is tested with ADC a finite word length.

  • Recently, several algorithms for scheduling aperiodic tasks have been proposed. Among them, Abdelzaher et al proposed an algorithm to determine the schedulability of aperiodic tasks, and proved that the aperiodic tasks are schedulable if the upperbound of synthetic utilization is less than or equal to $\frac 1{1+\sqrt{1/2}}{\approx}0.59$. But this algorithm has a drawback in that if some tasks, even though they are completed and have no more execution times, are included in the current invocation set, their execution times and deadlines are added to the synthetic utilization. This may lead to a problem in which actually schedulable tasks are decided not to be schedulable. In this paper, we recognize the above mentioned problem and propose an improved synthetic utilization method that can be used to schedule aperiodic tasks more efficiently.
