Position control of D.C. motor under the disturbances by new sliding mode control

  • A new control method for position control of D.C. servo motor based on the variable structure control is presented. The desired trajectory satisfying the given performance requirement is used as the sliding curve. And the control input forcing the system to follow the desired model system is applied. As a result the method is robust to disturbance. The performance of the proposed controller is compared with that of the conventional state feedback controller through digital computer simulation.

  • The micro-computer based automatic control of the overhead crane system is designed. Two control methodologies were suggested; the one is the anti-swing controller which improves poor damping characteristics of the crane and the other is the stop-position controller which minimizes the transportation position error. The input speed profile is automatically determined by the pre-programmed digital control algorithm. The experimental results show that these proposed controllers have excellent control performance as compared with those of the uncontrolled crane system.

  • This paper deals with "chattering" problem in variable structure control system. For digital computer control, chattering reduction algorithm in Analog-VSC is extended to Discrete-VSC. The proposed algorithm is applied to position control of D.C Servo Motor by using 6502 .mu.-processor. The improved transient response, as well as a considerable reduction of chattering, is illustrated experimentally.imentally.

  • For the position control of BL-DC motors, 2.phi.-3.phi. conversion unit, hysteresis band device, and PWM pulse generation are required. By utilizing a single-chip processor INTEL 8097BH, we cover all required functions. As a result, no analogue device is employed in this control scheme, so that it makes BL-DC motor controller simple and flexible. Furthermore, the single-chip processor is utilized for the nonlinear coordinate transformation which is necessary for the linearization of the motor system.

  • 구조물에 있어서 진동은 소음을 유발하며 구조물을 불안정하게 만드는 요인이 된다. 특히, 저주파 진동은 구조물에 미치는 영향이 크므로, 유연구조물의 저주파 진동모드들을 우선적으로 제어할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 압전세라믹을 작동기로, 압전필름을 감지기로 사용하였고, 능동 제어 알고리즘의 하나인 적응형 디지털 PPF(Positive Position Feedback) 제어기를 구성하여 유연 외팔 평판과 열린 박스 구조물에서 저주파 진동을 감소시켰다.(중략)

  • This paper investigates the position sensorless control of switched reluctance motor. The system consists of the position detection circuit by the new phase detection algorithm, digital logic commutator, PLL for speed control and 4-phase inverter.   • The neural network with radial basis function is introduced for position tracking control of AC servo drive with the existence of system uncertainties. An adaptive robust term is applied to overcome the external disturbances. The proposed controller is implemented on a high performance digital signal processing DSP TMS320C6713-300. The stability and the convergence of the system are proved by Lyapunov theory. The validity and robustness of the controller are verified through simulation and experimental results

  • In this paper a robust controller using adaptive backstepping technique is proposed to control the position of wind power generation system. To make wind power generation truly cost effective and reliable, advanced and robust control algorithms are derived to on-line adjust the excitation winding voltage of the generator based on both mechanical and electrical dynamics. This method is shown to be able to achieve smooth and asymptotic rotor speed tracking, as justified by analysis and computer simulation.

  • National digital maps (NDM) produced by diverse production methods through various stages are ready to distribute to public. The position accuracy problems in NDM should be inspected and evaluated to guarantee the quality of NDM. The purpose of this study is 1) to find out factors of impeding accuracy by examining the position accuracy of NDM on scales of 1:1,000 and 1:5,000, 2) to form the technical basis of making accurate digital maps and 3) to increase reliability and practical use of NDM. In this study, we found out 1) obstacles of making accurate mM especially in solving horizontal and vertical location accuracy problems and 2) error sources in production methods as well as stages. These results can be contributed to increase accuracy on modifying and upgrading NDM.

  • This paper presents an Implementation of digital high-performance position sensorless control system of Reluctance Synchronous Motor(RSM) drives with Direct Torque Control(DTC). The system consists of stator flux observer, speed and torque estimator, two digital hysteresis controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor(IGBT) voltage source inverter, and TMS320C31 DSP board. The stator flux observer Is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control of which inputs are current and voltage sensed on motor terminal for wide speed range. In order to prove the suggested sensorless control algorithm for industrial field application, we have some simulation and actual experiment at low and high speed range. The developed high-performance speed control by fully digital system are shown a good response characteristic of control results and high performance features using 1.0[kW] RSM having 2.57 reluctance ratio of $L_d/L_q$.
