There have been proposed various copyright protection protocols in network-based digital multimedia distribution framework. However, most of conventional copyright protection protocols are focused on the stability of copyright information embedding/extracting and the access control to data suitable for user's authority but overlooked the privacy of copyright owner and user in authentication process of copyright and access information. In this paper, we propose a solution that builds a privacy-preserving proof of copyright ownership of digital contents in conjunction with keyword search scheme. The appeal of our proposal is three-fold: (1) content providers maintain stable copyright ownership in the distribution of digital contents; (2) the proof process of digital contents ownership is very secure in the view of preserving privacy; (3) the proposed protocol is the copyright protection protocol added by indexing process but is balanced privacy and efficiency concerns for its practical use.

In copyright rights of the digital image, copyright holders need to protect copyrights and improve the improvement of copyright laws through accurate understanding of copyright laws, and also to improve the effectiveness of copyright rights of copyright holders and the effectiveness of users' rights. First of all, the scope of the study is based on the case of recognition of the scope of the identity of the same scope and the copyright on the copyright law of the digital image, and the application of the image of the image of the image-writing image and the use of image artifacts based on the image copyright classification system suitable for the user's application.

The research investigated definition, scope and feature of digital contents in order to discuss legal protection of digital contents. The protection law and current trend of protection of digital contents in United States of America, EU and Japan were examined. As the law which protects digital contents in Korea. the contents and characteristics, etc. of copyright act of Korea and online digital contents industry development act were examined and analyzed. And then relationship of digital contents and copyright, namely, the relationship of database and copyright, relationship of digital contents by translation. arrangement, alteration, dramatization, cinematization, etc. of an original work and copyright; relationship of other digital contents and copyright; relationship of file sharing of digital contents and copyright, were examined and copyright issues were discussed in library. And also the research suggested concretely necessary countermeasure of copyright which the library must take. Finally, this paper suggested the improvement direction for legal protection of digital contents we must aim ultimately.

Copyright is challenged by the rapid development of digital technology. This study investigated a number of new copyright-related issues : electrocopying, digital transmission, legal definition of multimedia, moral right, fair use et al. To use copyright works we need licensing of rights and permissions. Then at this paper we examined the scopes and contents of permission with copyright owners or publishers, also considered relationships of copyright owners with distributors and end-users. Finally, to protect rights of copyright owners and use freely copyright works, we suggested introduction of 'collective management system of copyright' and construction of 'copyright management information system' .

The music industry of the digital age has witnessed seemingly endless battles involving copyright. Though continuous efforts to strengthen copyright under romantic understating have benefited major actors in the industry, it has threatened creativity and net activism in the digital age. This study argues rhetoric used by the industry regarding how file sharing and digital environments hurt music sales is inadequate. It has enabled the industry and its major labels to embolden copyright and protective legislation with the government's support. This article will reveal that the issue surrounding copyright under the romantic notion is not an outdated one confined to the early era of digital music This article will argue that major players in the industry are repeating the old strategic approach of controlling the music market. This is achieved by limiting practices of music audiences and future creativity such as the creation of amateur content and emergence of new business models.

This study is to analyze and evaluate copyright protection environment in digital reproduction and transmission, find out problems involved. and suggest recommendations for improvement. Data was collected 50 libraries to which digital reproduction and transmission is permitted under the Copyright Act were surveyed to examine the present states of digitalization and the systems employed. Also, library users, sampled from 5 libraries carrying out all the 6 technical measures obliged by the Copyright Act, were surveyed to examine their use of digital materials and perception on the copyright. After reviewing descriptive statistics, frequency and cross-tabulation analysis were made. The results of the analysis are most of the libraries. except for the industry university libraries, have implemented digital library systems, but the introduction rate of both digital reproduction system and transmission system are high (68.0% and 84.0%. respectively), while that of copyright protection system was low (26.0%). 84.0% of the libraries surveyed digitalize the full text, but the Libraries have digital collection less than 5,000 items, and only 33.3% of them digitalize materials with securing the copyrights. Regulations on copyright protections are not obliged properly. and it appeared that not only users' perception and perception of copyright as well as their use of electronic books are relatively low.

Electronic Copyright Management System is the technical solution to protect copyright and to manage the distribution of digital contents in network environment. This paper examined the theoretical plane of Electronic Copyright Management System and analyzed the characteristics and the protection technologies of some of the commercial systems. And this paper investigated the essential protection technologies and payment systems that is needed to develop and manage the successful system in the future. Finally this study suggested the fundamental function model of Electronic Copyright Management System.

Digital works such as computer programs, music, photographs, movies and dramas are copyrighted. Even if there were more than 1,000 violations per year for digital works, the punishment was very weak. Especially copyright infringement by teenager is increasing. This study aims to present the direction of future development through questionnaires on the perception and direction of college students about copyright. 157 college students were surveyed about copyright awareness, perception of detailed legal provisions, cost of monthly expenses, copyright violation, and direction of copyright protection. As a result of the questionnaire survey, awareness was high at 69%, but in detailed law was low at 17.2% and 22.3%. In the future direction of copyright policy, 72.6% of them answered that they should be "strengthened" and "more and more strengthened". In order to protect copyrights, enforcement of crackdowns, public relations activities, expansion of the legal market, and technical protection should be done. In order to do this, copyright-related education for elementary, middle, high school and college students are needed more and it is necessary to expand the legal market where high quality contents are traded. More research is needed on copyright protection technological methods.

In this paper, we propose a device to track the location of illegal reproduction and monitor illegal reproduction by testing with digital watermark in order to protect copyright of digital contents and prevent massive distribution through illegal reproduction.

In this paper, we present a multi-watermarking method for a copyright protection and confidentiality for an original digital image. One watermark is used for a copyright protection and another for a copyright protection and another for a confidentiality and a detection of unauthorized copies.
