1970년 이후의 건축표현변용방식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Transformal Usage of Architecture Expression Since 1970s)

  • This study will establish the transformal characteristics of architectural visual information by investigating: how contemporary architects perceive and process multifaceted architectural information via the expression media since 1970s. The purposes and results of this study are summarized as follows: This study established the contemporary transformal characteristics by comparing the expression methods of traditional architects with the transformal characteristics of visual information derived from the contemporary architectural expression media. In a pluralistic information society, the expression methods of the past, which recognize space as a stationary, unidimensional visual point on a drawing surface, is now changing to the mixed, multidimensional expression methods that connect various visual points on a limited drawing surface. Furthermore, the rapid advancement of digital media is changing, from a method which simply arranges visual information, to a flexible visual tool which can process architecture sequentially and simultaneously. As the communication structure of architecture is moving toward an individual-centered two-way communication type, the information delivery method is used to visualize conceptual, inferential information, rather than visualizing realistic information which simply records facts. In the past, multidimensional, non-linear forms could not be processed by the conventional design processes and sketch work, but now they can be expressed via digital media.

CALS체계의 정보보호 구조 연구 (A Study on the Security Architecture of CALS System)

  • With developing computer and communication technologies, the concept of CALS system has been popular not only to military but also to commercial industries. The security problem is one of the most critical issues to construct CALS infrastructure. The CALS system needs some security functions such that data confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, availability, and non-repudiation. This paper proposes a security architecture model in CALS. The security architecture model is composed of 5 submodels such that network security model, authentication and key management model, operation and audit model, integrated database security model, and risk analysis model.

  • This paper proposes a simple architecture of digital dividing block in dual-modulus prescaler phase-locked loop used in the wireless communication. Proposed architecture eliminates a swallow counter in the conventional one and demonstrates the advantages in reducing the power consumption and the gate-counts. Therefore, it is suitable for small die area and low power applications. The circuit is designed in a standard 0.35${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS process.

  • 레이저 다이오드를 사용하여 전기신호를 광신호로 변환해 주는 버스트 모드 광송신기용 온도보상 방식에 대하여 연구하였다. 기존 실시간 아날로그 방식의 온도보상 방법에 비해, 본 연구에서는 마이크로프로세서를 사용하여 디지털 방식으로 신호를 샘플링 처리함으로써 고속 버스트 모드 광신호를 효과적으로 처리할 수 있도록 하였다. 온도보상을 위한 디지털 자동전력조절방식은 아날로그 방식에 비해 보다 정확하고 효율적이다. 따라서 이 방식은 앞으로 개발된 Gb/s 이상의 고속 버스트 광신호처리에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 본다.

Multi-GPU 기반의 고속 디지털 홀로그램 생성 (Fast Generation of Digital Hologram Based on Multi-GPU)

  • 실시간 홀로그래피 방송을 제작하기 위해서는 디지털 홀로그램을 고속으로 생성하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 홀로그램 생성을 위한 Computer-Generated Holography(CGH) 식의 병렬 구조를 최적화하고, Compute Unified Device Architecture(CUDA)와 Open Multi-Processing (OpenMP) 를 이용한 Multi Graphic Processing Unit(Multi-GPU) 기반의 디지털 홀로그램의 고속 생성을 위한 최적화 기법을 제안한다. 디지털 홀로그램을 생성하는 과정은 독립적인 연산을 할 수 있는 다수의 개체로 병렬화 할 수 있는 구조이기 때문에 이에 특화된 CUDA와 OpenMP를 사용함으로써 CGH식을 고속으로 연산할 수 있다. 여기서 더 나아가 이를 최적화하기 위해서 상수화, 벡터화, 루프풀기 등의 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 기법을 통해서 기존 CPU에서의 CGH 연산속도에 비해 약 9,700배 정도의 속도를 개선할 수 있었다.

  • Nowadays, digital manufacturing has been known to be very effective method in manufacturing fields. It is aimed to estimate process time, to improve operation efficiency, and to prevent bottleneck processes in advance of real manufacturing. This paper addresses a scheduling support system for panel hues in a shipyard through digital manufacturing simulation. The proposed system supports operators to make better decisions on the shop-floor scheduling in panel lines. It ,would provide a complete schedule that is at least as good as any schedule currently obtained. Furthermore, it can evaluate the operator's schedule by simulating it with 3-dimensional models before the work orders and schedules are released.

  • The use of various digital tools makes freeform modeling possible. At the same time, with the development of structural and construction technologies, Free-Form Architecture are beginning to be implemented realized, as the desired data extraction such as the size and coordinate points of the members is possible. Currently, in many cities around the world, Irregular-Shaped High-rise Buildings, which express the dynamic symbolism, are recognized for their landmark values. In order to realize the Irregular-Shaped High-rise Buildings, it is necessary to understand various fields such as the characteristics of digital tools, digital technique logic, design process, and construction method. In particular, it is important to plan Irregular-Shaped High-rise Buildings so that the various types of efficiency can be reviewed together, while generating understanding and formations from the initial design stage. Therefore, this study uses conceptual and parametric design tools related to form generation in digital architecture to analyze the details, methods, and characteristics of the Irregular-Shaped High-rise Buildings form generation process. In this paper, the parametric design tool is applied to study the various types of design and the process characteristics that can be considered in the initial design stage of the unstructured skyscraper.

  • Digital Virtual Manufacturing is a technology to facilitate effective product developments and agile productions by digital models representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing systems including products, process, manufacturing resources and plants. A digital virtual factory as a well-designed and integrated environment is essential for successful applications of this technology. In this research, we constructed a sophisticated digital virtual factory of the shipbuilding company's section steel shop by 3-D CAD and virtual manufacturing simulation. This digital virtual factory can be applied for diverse engineering activities in design, manufacturing and control of the real factory.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 패스가 없는 연산증폭기 공유 기법을 이용한 $145{\mu}W$, 87dB SNR을 갖는 저전력 3차 Sigma-Delta 변조기를 제안한다. 기존 구조는 아날로그와 디지털 패스를 사용한 구조로 첫 번째 적분기의 계수가 작다는 단점을 지연된 피드포워드 패스를 추가하여 개선하였다. 제안한 구조는 디지털 패스를 제거하여 첫 번째 적분기의 계수를 크게 하였고 연상증폭기 공유 기법을 이용하여 전력소모가 기준 구조보다 적다. 전원전압 1.8V, 신호대역폭 20KHz, 샘플링 주파수 2.8224MHz 조건에서 $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정을 이용하여 제안한 구조의 시뮬레이션한 결과, SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio)은 87dB, 전력소비는 $145{\mu}W$이다.

건축 CAD 과목에 대한 학생 설문평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Student Surveys for CAAD(Computer Aided Architectural Design))

  • The importance of the digital architecture is increasing more ever. Currently, CAD and 3D programs are used as design fields, but the BIM (building information modeling) is gradually interested. BIM is mandatory on the project more than 50 billion won ordered by the government since 2012, it will be expanded to a total of government orders by 2016. University needs to evaluate teaching methods and computer-aided design environments such as CAD and BIM. In this paper, we surveyed computer-aided design environments and teaching methods for 73 students at the J University of Department of architectural engineering. Main results are as follows: 1. Hardlock is uncomfortable but necessary program for the computer management. 2. The desk placement considering the behavior of the design students results in higher satisfaction. 3. Because a CAD subject was a difficult course content and progress is fast, students thought it is difficult to follow. Especially, first-year students answered it is difficult to learn program and understand the structure of the building at the same time. 4. First-year students want to learn CAD more. Second-, third-, fourth-year students want to learn Photoshop more. Supplement for these classes is required. 5. Students answered that a teaching method of a CAD subject would be good to their own practice after the professor demonstrates for students. The senior's assistance is also a high effective way in the class. 6. During class, students' activities such surfing the web and Kakao Talk on a smartphone disrupt the class, there is a need to regulate by a rule such as disconnect computers from a network and against using smartphone. Although the Internet with the popularization of smartphones confers a benefit on modern life, it causes damage to us. This is a hard part for a salaried workers as well as students studying equally. The self management is required and a professor needs to control and restraint in a university classroom. The professor's continuing interest to students can increase the effectiveness of learning.
