퍼블릭 표시장치의 시장동향 및 ESL 소자의 역할 (Market Trends of Public Display System and Role of ESL Device)

  • The traditional outdoor advertising market has been stagnant recently, but the digital advertising market has been steadily increasing, and the digital signage market has been expanding despite the recent corona pandemic. However, in terms of hardware, new displays are required due to excessive power consumption, lack of visibility in sunlight, and continuous operating expenses. Since the e-paper display does not require a light emitting device therein, it is advantageous to solve above problems. In addition, it has the advantage of consuming power only when converting an image due to bistability, so it is suitable as hardware that implements images rather than moving pictures. Currently, one of the most successful examples of commercializing e-paper displays is ESL devices. According to a recent market study, the market for large-sized panels larger than 10 inches has grown at an annual rate of 21.6%, and the market is expected to exceed 30% by 2026. It is judged that it will be relatively easy to apply the roll-to-roll technology, which is currently developing the technology applied to OLED, to the e-paper display. Therefore, mass production technology and market expansion for ESL panel enlargement are expected, and a new market is also expected to be formed at the same time. New markets will be traffic signs, public displays, billboards, façades, kiosks, digital signage, and so on.

식량작물 생산에 대한 스마트디지털 농업기술의 발전 방향 - 전문가 설문조사 연구 (Development of Smart Digital Agriculture Technology for Food Crop Production in Korea-The Path Forward Based on Expert Feedback)

  • 정부는 4차산업혁명의 선도사업으로 농업 부분의 스마트디지털 농업기술 사업을 지정하였다. 이에 한국 작물학회에서는 우리나라 식량작물 노지스마트디지털 농업기술의 발전 방향을 알아보고자 작물 분야 및 스마트디지털 농업기술 관련자 207명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 설문조사 결과, 노지스마트디지털 농업기술은 한국 농업의 구조적 문제를 해결하는 데 도움이 되며 노지스마트디지털 농업기술 발전 한계를 극복하기 위해서는 노지스마트디지털 농업기술 개발에 따른 핵심 인력 양성 및 지속적인 정부의 관심과 노지스마트디지털 농업기술 설비 구축 및 기술 개발의 필요성이 제안되었다. 농업 선진국들의 노지스마트디지털 농업기술의 연구 및 개발 수준은 현장 적용 및 검증 단계, 실용화 단계이나 우리나라는 아직 기술개발 단계에 머무르고 있다. 고령화나 노동력 부족, 기후변화, 지속가능한 발전 등을 위해선 스마트디지털 농업기술의 도입이 필요하다는 의견이 많았다. 스마트디지털 농업기술 확산을 위해서는 기술개발, 인프라 구축 등이 필요하고 농민을 대상으로 한 체계적인 기술 교육이 필요하며 노지스마트디지털 농업기술의 성공적인 정착을 위해서는 장비-데이터의 표준화가 필요하다는 결과가 도출되었다. 나아가 소비자와 다른 농산업 현장에도 적용되어 디지털 전환이 이루어질 수 있는 방향성을 가지고 진행되어야 할 것이다. 노지스마트디지털 농업기술의 도입 및 성공적인 정착은 기후변화 대응, 농업의 친환경성 증진, 노동력 부족의 해소에 기여할 수 있으므로 우리나라의 작물 생산 능력 제고를 통한 식량 안보 강화 측면에서도 필요하다.

VR 애니메이션의 효율적인 제작을 위한 파이프라인 연구 (A Study on Pipeline for Effective Production of VR Animation)

  • 현재 가상현실 영상콘텐츠는 관련 하드웨어와 소프트웨어의 빠른 성장으로 사용자 수가 빠르게 늘고 있다. 이에 가상현실 애니메이션 또한 영상콘텐츠 분야 중 빠르게 가상현실 기술과 융합하여 새로운 형태로 제작되고 있다. 현재 가상현실 애니메이션 관련 연구는 영화의 기술적인 제작 방법과 연출법 등에 집중되어 왔으며 효율적인 VR 애니메이션 제작을 위한 파이프라인을 정리한 연구는 아직 없었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 가상현실 애니메이션 중에서도 프리렌더 방식의 VR 애니메이션의 효율적인 제작을 위하여 기존 3D 애니메이션의 제작 파이프라인과의 비교를 통하여 프리렌더 VR 애니메이션 파이프라인의 특성을 도출하였다. 이를 통하여 효율적인 프리렌더 VR 애니메이션의 제작을 위해서 VR 애니메이션의 제작 과정에 적합한 프로덕션과 포스트 프로덕션 과정의 유기적인 통합과 Render Pass를 활용한 렌더링 시간의 단축을 제시하여 효과적인 Pipeline을 제시하였다.

A study for production simulation model generation system based on data model at a shipyard

  • Simulation technology is a type of shipbuilding product lifecycle management solution used to support production planning or decision-making. Normally, most shipbuilding processes are consisted of job shop production, and the modeling and simulation require professional skills and experience on shipbuilding. For these reasons, many shipbuilding companies have difficulties adapting simulation systems, regardless of the necessity for the technology. In this paper, the data model for shipyard production simulation model generation was defined by analyzing the iterative simulation modeling procedure. The shipyard production simulation data model defined in this study contains the information necessary for the conventional simulation modeling procedure and can serve as a basis for simulation model generation. The efficacy of the developed system was validated by applying it to the simulation model generation of the panel block production line. By implementing the initial simulation model generation process, which was performed in the past with a simulation modeler, the proposed system substantially reduced the modeling time. In addition, by reducing the difficulties posed by different modeler-dependent generation methods, the proposed system makes the standardization of the simulation model quality possible.

MPEG-21 IPMP 기반의 디지털 콘텐츠 보호 관리 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and implementation of protection and management system of digital contents based on MPEG-21 IPMP)

  • 디지털 콘텐츠의 사용 증가는 디지털 콘텐츠에 대한 다양한 보호 기술들과 이를 적용한 시스템간의 상호 호환성 문제의 해결책을 요구하고 있다. 이에 MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group)은 MPEG-21 멀티미디어 프레임워크(Frameworks)를 제안하였다. MPEG-21 IPMP(Intellectual Property Management and Protection)는 멀티미디어 프레임워크의 제 4부 규격으로 디지털 아이템과 권한 정보가 다양한 네트워크와 매체들을 거치는 과정에서 지속적인 관리 및 보호를 위한 표준이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 디지털 콘텐츠 보호를 목적으로 MPEG-21 IPMP 표준기반의 시스템을 라이센스 서버, 저작서버, 소비 서버, 툴 서버의 네 구조로 설계하였다. 라이센스 서버는 XML(extensible Markup language)기반의 REL(Rights Expression Language)을 사용하여 사용자의 멀티 미디어 콘텐츠에 대한 권한 정보 문서를 생성하고, 저작서버는 REL 정보와 멀티미디어 리소스(Resource)에 대한 IPMP 정보를 결합하여 생성한 메타데이터(metadata)를 멀티미디어 리소스와 패키징하여 디지털 아이템을 생성한다. 소비 서버는 디지털 아이템을 소비하는 플레이어 기능을 하며, 툴 서버는 작업에서 발생하는 모든 필요한 도구에 대한 전송이 가능하도록 구현하였다.

  • Digital textile printing(DTP) is becoming more important because the production trend of textile printing goods is adapting to small-lot multiple items. Recently enhanced use of DTP is closely connected with production of high value-added products in fashion industry, which is also appropriate for quick response system(QRS). Quality of DTP depends on pre-treatment, after-treatment, ink, media, printer, etc. One of these parameters, Selection of good media is very important to obtain high quality of DTP products. Especially, the effects of media on printing quality of DTP according to yarn twist and structure of knitting fabric were examined in this study. Two types of yarn twist of 830 t.p.m and 1630 t.p.m for cotton knit were used and five types of media structures were knitted with single circular knitting machine. First, MIU, MMD, SMD's values are closely related with surface roughness of sample as well as printing quality. The hard twist samples were higher values than normal twist samples in the same media structure. In case of SMD, the values increased from plain to corduroy types. Second, aspect of line sharpness, line area, and line width values of hard twist samples decreased from plain to corduroy than those of normal twist samples. Third, line deviation values of hard twist samples, blurriness of line, also decreased than those of normal twist samples.

  • Since the first phase of NGIS (National Geographic Information System) project was launched in 1988, various types and spatial database has been produced and updated. With recent developments in the information technology, the application of spatial data has increased in amount as well as in the coverage of the area of interest. There is a need for production and management of a nationwide single continuous digital map. This paper looks into three problems of map edge matching when dealing with such a task : 1) different scales of adjacent maps, 2) different time of capture between adjacent maps, and 3) different responsible organization where map matching has not been peformed along the boundary.

  • The power of the internet community as a social network exerts great influence on all areas of our society not only on knowledge creation and knowledge sharing but also on politics, economy, and culture. This study aims to investigate how the diffusion process of information evolves on the internet in the new environment. The focus of the study is particularly on aspects of using information and the process of information production and the types and methods of online communities. It is the goal of the study to clarify aspects of the online community as an important mediator among universal means of communication in our society. Ways of social communication are changing rapidly and thus the reasoning for this change is very important policy issues to form a social consensus.

  • The research tried to realize the policy which serves Innovation ability for culture-contents producer, and culture-contents producer's Innovation ability which impacts OSMU of contents in the policies of government for vitalizations of culture-contents industry. As a result, we have reached the conclusion that the supportive policies for technology, exports and marketing were effective to strengthen the innovation ability of management of human resource, creation and production area. Also we have found that content's OSMU has been influenced by innovation ability. The implication of this study are followed. First, the policies which are intended to revitalize the culture content industry by government has the effect that are some different ones from the settlement and intention. Second, the production industry of animation do still passive and closed organization management, without the efforts for opened and cooperative management. Therefore, the efforts of government which are more practical and realistic supports to revitalize and based on strategic cooperation of industry.

A Study on the Reproduction Strategy through the Planning Process of Baby Shark

  • In this study, the aim is to understand the strategy of video content production with the case of the baby shark development process of Pink Fong Company, the content is described about the successful planning and strategy of baby shark which has become a global content, and the main point describes the planning of the production process and marketing strategies for each country. The findings of the conclusions resulted in the application of the standards of globalization and the local understanding of culture as the main factors for content success. If the Pink Pong Company's method is applied through this, it is possible to apply what is the main issue of creative content production Reproduction in the future.
