In today's rapidly developing technology, the traditional exhibition format of museums can no longer meet social needs. By analyzing the advantages and key technologies of extended reality technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and hybrid reality, the museum XR exhibition interaction scheme is analyzed. Come to Discovery Museum. In this regard, this study first delves into the concept of XR technology, the concept and influencing factors of tourist experience, and the relationship between the application of XR technology and tourist experience through theoretical investigation. On this basis, representative paleontological museums in China and South Korea were selected, and the actual experience of visitors at the exhibition site and the application of XR technology were investigated through examples. Research has shown that the use of augmented reality technology can achieve seamless integration of virtual and real worlds in paleontological museums, extend viewing space, expand cultural heritage connotations, and revitalize cultural heritage. It provides visitors with a deeper interactive experience, enhances immersion and enriches display methods, making this type of museum more attractive. On this basis, XR technology helps museums achieve Digital transformation, and makes them have the advantages of sustainable development.

A number of dinosaur tracksites located at southern coast of the Korean Peninsula have continuously been damaged by sea-waves and weathering. To protect the dinosaur tracksites from the damage permanently and safely, we need to develop conservation programs as well as to collect data documenting the sites. We specifically applied digital photogrammetry to extensively record and document dinosaur tracks in the Namhae Gain-ri tracksite (Natural Monument No. 499) and were able to obtain 3D images data with it. The data of 3D images enable us to produce permanent documentation and preservation of the morphology of dinosaur tracks and tracksites. Moreover the weathering rate on time can be numerically analyzed by periodic measurements of the dinosaur tracksite and comparison of those measurements. The 3D modeling techniques also can be used in various ways including analyzing morphology of tracks, duplicating replicas for museum exhibitions, and posting the results on the Internet homepage.

In this paper, we propose a cultural heritage mobile augmented reality application that allows visitors to experience artifacts by augmenting prototypes, audio, video, and text information of 3D graphic artifacts of museum cultural assets. By applying augmented reality technology to a cultural product, products can be recognized on mobile phones and various historical information can be received through interaction of digital artifacts, and information can be easily and quickly checked through augmented reality mobile digital contents regardless of time and place. Through this study, we contribute to the development of digital cultural contents via mobile augmented reality and the expansion of augmented reality contents according to the types of cultural heritage for use, such as education, industry, and tourism promotion.

The recognition of the natural background radiation is important not only for radiological education but also for the promotion of people's scientific view about radiation. We made a "room" on the web showing natural background radiation as part of a VRM (Virtual Radiation Museum). The "room" shows the video images of the tracks of charged particles from natural background radiation, alpha and beta ray track from known sources using a Large Scale Diffusion Cloud Chamber. The purpose of this study is to make clear the origin of a kind of track (named A-track) which is thick and easy to recognize with the length less than several cm in the cloud chamber, and to make numerical explanation of its counting rate. The study was carried out using a Large Scale Diffusion Cloud Chamber (Phywe, Germany) installed in the Niigata Science Museum. The Model RNC (Pylon Electronics, Canada) was used as Rn-222 source. Ra-226 activity in RNC was 111.6 Bq calibrated with NIST protocol. Rn-222 gas was injected into the cloud chamber. Continuous video recording with use of Digital Handycam (SONY, Japan) was carried out for 360 min. after injection of Rn-222 gas. The number of alpha-ray track (alpha track) in the video images was analyzed. The growth and decay curve of the total activity of Rn-222 and its alpha emitting progeny were calculated and compared with the count of the alpha tracks. As a result the alpha tracks formed by Rn-222 injection resemble A-Tracks. The relationship between A-track in the cloud chamber and atmospheric Rn is discussed.

Cyber Textbook Museum is created by the Korean Educational Development Institute in part of the project to manage the knowledge and information of Korea to promote understanding of Korean education and its history. The original and full text of textbooks dating from the 1890s to the present have been digitized and arranged for easy access over internet. An exclusive portal site dealing with Korean textbooks and curriculum materials was made to provide not only the directory service of textbooks and curriculums in diverse data classifications, school levels, years/periods and subjects but also the keyword search by searching engine. Users can search the necessary materials easily and systematically over the screen and use all the functions except save, capture and print. The management system for textbook image(DjVu format), search system and DRM(Digital Rights Management) system were developed. Finally, four suggestions are proposed which are related in the aspects of policy, technical, systematic aspects for active and tremendous use of the site.
The Korean animation has enjoyed the brisk formation and establishment of its world-class infra for the last several years without unified titles or concepts, under the name of a national strategic project in the age of digital image. It also enjoys its new evaluation as digital animation that it's one of the greatest money making business in the non-education and frivolous culture and has the closest relations with the modern time. A great portion of popular image media has been taken by animation for the last 30 years. In this paper we propose a motion algorithm using an animation technology. It was developed for education purposed and accessible through the internet. For instance, in Cyber Clam Museum, 1000 gesture contents, the visual processes were used to design a screen with a realistic image and create an animation that makes possible show at 360 and every such transformation as translation, rotation, and scaling can be applied in the image interactively for the convenient and effective viewing.
The purpose of this research is to fill the vacuum created by the tendency of bias towards China among the curators of Korean museums who plan exhibitions focusing on Balhae, and to share with researchers in the countries concerned various supplementary research materials that could deepen their understanding of the history of Balhae. These materials are based on analyses of the details of exhibitions about Balhae held in a particular Russian museum and the characteristics of and changes in the museum's operational policy. Thus, this research focuses mainly on the permanent and special exhibitions held by the Far East History Museum and Reserve, whose collection represents the archaeological achievements of Russia regarding the history of Balhae. The first part of the research focuses on the layout of the exhibitions presented by the museum and the museum's operational policy. It reveals that the museum's permanent exhibitions follow a diachronic arrangement of the local history, while the first and second special exhibitions featured exhibits that were selected from the collections of the Russian Academy of Sciences and arranged according to specific themes. It also examines the museum's policy for operating the exhibitions, focusing on the operational rules, the human resources deployed to run them, and the related educational and PR programs. The second part of the research examines such issues as local politics, economy, education and culture related to the exhibitions on Balhae's history, and connects them to the background and development of the exhibitions. This study reveals that the permanent exhibitions were intended to promote historical awareness of the local area by museum visitors, particularly those who visited the exhibitions while the city was hosting important events such as international summits. It also reveals that the museum's first special exhibition led to the promotion of Korea-Russia cooperation on exchanges in the fields of culture and tourism, whereas the second special exhibition involved no PR efforts or related events, which was probably due to the changes that have occurred in the relationship between Russia and its neighboring countries since then. The final part of the study focuses on the characteristic features of the exhibition narratives, and compares school textbooks on local history and history books for general readers with the contents of the exhibitions. The analysis of the narratives based on the development of time shows that the history of the Mohe (or Malgal) tribes has been combined with that of Balhae, while they are treated separately in school textbooks. As regards political history, the narrative was largely focused on officials in Balhae's central government rather than on Mohe warriors in the border areas. The maps of Balhae presented in the exhibitions highlight the importance of accumulating empirical data. As for the exhibition of material cultures, this study suggests that the museums should obtain more archaeological floral and faunal remains related with agriculture and hunting. It also points out that the narrative on the theme of foreign relations deals with the archaeological relics of Unified Silla together with those of the Turkic tribes. As for the theme of philosophy and culture, the narrative focused on the state ceremonies and rituals of Goguryeo, a theme that has attracted little attention among Korean academic circles and which consequently requires further study. In conclusion, this study is meaningful in that it suggests a number of research topics regarding the development of exhibitions and exhibition narratives about the history of Balhae by a prestigious Russian museum that specializes in this subject.
With the upcoming Digital age, it is time to develop digitalized contents based on cultural basis. in this respect, Kimchi is one of the most primal cultural content signifying Korean culture. It's no doubt the time to initiate the movement to digitalize the contents concerning Kimchi by gathering materials on the origin of Kimchi culturally and a great value to revive digital contents regarding Kimchi. Therefore, in this research, it is regarded that Kimchi is one of the most prominent cultural value that is possible to inherit from generations and should be stratified on the database. A method explaning Korean Kimchi culture is sought in this paper. And It is focused on the culture of Korean Kimchi profoundly and focus on detailed context and varied styles of he digital contents. It is organized on the basis of various aged volumes regarding Kimchi classified by seasons, ingredients, Jonga Kimchi (Kimchi inherited from the oldest family by generations), 24 seasonal divisions of the year, and 8 regional divisions of the nation. It is planned to set up digitally-focused library regarding cultural origin of contents and to present solidity and a feeling of being dynamic The results could be used in a variety of Industries in tourism, education, Kimchi and building basic infrastructure in entertainment industry. It is also applied to specialized industry by providing cultural contents and it could contribute to activation of Kimchi industry with e-Market and portal site regarding Kimchi. Moreover, it may re-establish the cultural value of Kimchi and provide the infrastructure in Kimchi-related industry such as Kimchi cyber museum, Kimchi Expo, Kimchi town by using educational materials in Education industry fields (regular curriculum and experience tour).
As the first class Teaching Artists system is about to be brought to effect, the ability required for Teaching Artists to design educational contents, develop and manage education programs is not much different from that of a museum Educator. This system is necessary for resolving problems in existing Arts and Culture Education, such as overlapping programs and adjusting difficulty levels by age to meet the demand of educatee. It also deals with drawbacks in production-oriented curriculum originating from the preference in some subject. In addition, as progress in science and technology makes rapid changes in digital media and its subculture, increasing need for novel and interdisciplinary curriculum in the field of Arts and Culture Education puts further emphasis on the importance of this system. In this study, we focus on clarifying the significance of Educator as a professional and proposing curriculum for the system, trying to avoid restricting our discussion to current Arts Instructor Supporting Project which are merely aimed at supporting children and adolescents to grow up to enjoy culture and arts. Capacity for designing curriculum for culture and arts, the kernel of qualification for the first class Teaching Artists, requires a variety of comprehensive expertise and qualification such as doing preliminary research on contents related to animation, curating, determining potential of educational contents, organizing educational contents for appropriate educatee, understanding esthetic property and its role in education, and appreciating and enjoying cultural contents. Therefore, Teaching Artists plays roles not only in developing and running educational programs but also in supporting and cooperating with culture and arts institutions, designing and managing creative programs, combining and communicating with different social groups, and emphasizing mutual interchange in culture.

The purpose of this study is to study the coexistent development of the touristic and education cultures of temples. For the study, an investigation on the actual conditions of temples in Youngwol and a set of interviews were conducted from 13th June to 7th November in 2014. The analysis was conducted through the field observations and the interviews with building owners based on the criteria and SPSSWIN 18.0 program was used for statistical processes. The results of analysis are as follows. First, the temples are found to be the extremely valuable local cultural assets with the cultural values and historical backgrounds. Second, the major temple buildings show that they have the unique and distinct characteristics that cannot be found from other general temples, so it is necessary for developing the unique local tourism resources from them. Third, since the study shows that there is a lack of tourism and educational culture resources, so a relevant plan thereof is urgently required. The implication of this study is that there is an urgent necessity for the succession and the modern reinterpretation regarding the cultures of traditional temples, based on which a shift of viewpoint to the digital tourism, which covers both the traditional temple cultures and the modern cultures, could arise.
