어린이집 재원 다문화 가정 영아의 양육 현황과 어려움 및 지원요구 (Present Status, Difficulties and Support Needs of Multi-cultural Families Raising Children under 3 Years Old Enrolled at Child Care and Education Centers)

  • Objective: This study intended to analyze parenting characteristics, difficulties and support needs of multi-cultural families that had children under 3 years old, in order to develop their supporting resources. Methods: This study performed semi-structured interviews with 7 mothers from multi-cultural families that had their young children enrolled at child care and education centers in Gyeonggi Do. The interview data transcribed were analyzed using the successive contents analysis, and led to 4 themes and 12 sub-themes. Results: First, the mothers from multi-cultural families were married without understanding the Korean language and culture. Second, the multi-cultural mothers didn't properly respond to their children's needs in interaction and language aspects. As a result, the multi-cultural support centers and child care and education centers gave help to them. Third, in the view of the difficulties facing mothers, parenting problems caused by the lack of information concerning child education, the biased burden of parenting, and the different parenting values of Korean families were all expressed by the mothers. Fourth, regarding support needs, providing individual professional support for children and child-raising support for mothers, customized language and employment support for mothers and parenting education for fathers and family education on multi-culturalism are needed. Conclusion/Implications: Suggestions for decreasing the difficulties facing multi-cultural families that had children under 3 years old were discussed.

기혼취업남녀의 직장보육시설에 대한 요구 (Needs for the employer-supported day care service of the married man and women workers)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the needs for the employer-supported day care service and to analyze the factors related to the needs for the day care service of the married employees. KLFI(1995)'s National data were used and three Logistic models and one Catmod model were employed to analyse the effects of the independent variables on the needs for the day care service. The results of this study were as follows: First, half of employed workers needed the employer-supported child care service. Second, they preferred the day care center near their residential area than in their work site. Third, according to their age, type of occupation, and their difficulties for the childcare and household work, employed men and women needs on site day care differently. Finally, their needs for the expenditure of duty care service differed by their age, sex, and occupation, and their levels of difficulties for the childcare and household work. These findings suggest that duty care service for the employed man and woman are supported diversely according to their needs and preferences.

충북 소외지역의 영재교육기관 운영에 있어 초등 교사들이 겪는 어려움 및 지원 요구에 관한 사례연구 (A Case Study of the Difficulties and Support Needs of Elementary Teachers in the Management of Gifted Institutions in the Rural Areas of Chungcheongbuk-do Province)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out what kind of difficulties teachers face in the management of the elementary gifted institutions in the rural area of Chungbuk province. In this study, rural area was defined that the area where gifted education is difficult to access due to geographical accessibility or where gifted education service is restricted. The participants of the this study were three elementary gifted teachers who manage elementary gifted education institutions and is teaching science to disadvantaged gifted students. We collected data about the difficulties and support needs for the management of the gifted institutions in the rural area through the questionnaire and the interview. The results of this study are as follows. First, the common difficulty that teachers expressed was the lack of parental attention and awareness of gifted education. Second, the teachers who participated in this study perceived different difficulties according to their area, experience, and environment. Teacher A is the lack of awareness of the managers, teacher B is the difficulty of student selection, teacher C is the most difficult factor in teacher quality management. This difference in perceptions also led to differences in the support improvements required by gifted class teachers in the rural area. Third, the three teachers commonly referred to difficulties to access due to geographical accessibility, and demanded the integrated management of the gifted class in the rural area and the support for the expansion of the class.

외국인근로자 직업능력개발을 위한 교육훈련 및 e-Learning 요구분석 (Needs Analysis of Vocational Education and e-Learning for Foreign Workers in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 외국인근로자 직업능력개발을 위하여, 외국인근로자를 대상으로 사전교육, 사후 지원에 대한 요구를 분석하고, 효과적인 외국인근로자 교육훈련 방법론으로 e-Learning의 도입 및 활용에 대한 가능성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 총 1,872명의 외국인 근로자가 본 조사에 참여하였다. 조사 내용은 첫째, 사전교육의 운영 실태, 문제점, 개선사항, 둘째, 사후지원 측면에서 직장 배치 후 교육 참여 의사와 애로사항, 셋째, e-Learning에 대한 선호도, 요구 등이었다. 연구결과, 사전교육에서 다양한 문제점이 제시되었으며, 사후지원에서 외국인근로자들은 직장생활을 하면서 교육을 받고자 하는 높은 의지를 가지고 있으나, 시간 부족, 이동 등의 문제를 애로사항으로 꼽았다. 이들은 e-Learning에 대한 높은 선호도와 요구를 보였다. 이에 작업장 이탈의 어려움을 해소시키고 상이한 교육 조건 및 수준에 따른 맞춤식의 개별화된 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 e-Learning의 가능성과 필요성이 제안되었다.

유아가치교육 현장적용에 대한 교사의 어려움과 요구 (Analysis of Kindergarten Teacher's Difficulties and Support Needs on Early Childhood Value Education)

  • 본 연구는 유아가치교육 현장적용에 대한 교사들의 어려움과 요구를 파악하여 기초자료를 제공하고자, 경기도 공사립유치원 교사 815명을 대상으로 조사를 수행하였다. 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 유아교사들이 느끼는 유아가치교육 현장적용의 어려움은 '가치교육의 구체적 교수방법과 실행에 대한 정보 부족', '가치교육보다 우선시되는 다른 교육내용', '유아가치교육에 대한 인식과 이해 부족' 등으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아가치교육 현장적용을 위해 요구되는 것은 '2019 개정 누리과정과 가치교육의 연계', '가치교육을 위한 교사의 의지와 전문성', '가치교육에 대한 학부모의 이해와 참여', '가치교육에 대한 기관의 교육철학의 확립' 순으로 나타났다. 교사들이 요구하는 가치교육 자료는 실행사례집, 동영상, 부모교육 자료 등, 요구하는 교사연수의 방법은 온라인 영상연수, 직무연수, 전문적 학습공동체 등으로 나타났다. 연구의 시사점은 2019 개정 누리과정에서 강조하는 바른 인성에 대한 논의와 유아가치교육을 분리되지 않는 맥락으로 연계하길 바라는 교사의 요구를 파악하였다는 점, 실천을 위한 교사의 의지와 전문성, 학부모와 함께 만들어가는 가치교육에 대한 요구가 표출되었다는 점, 교사가 원하는 자료와 연수 유형을 밝혀 유아가치교육을 위한 교사교육의 기초자료를 제시하였다는 점이다.

  • The amended School Education Act, which was enacted in 2007, stipulated the implementation of the education that enables children with disabilities who attend elementary and middle schools to overcome their difficulties that were caused by their disabilities. In 2014, 49,706 of special needs education supporters were dispatched by using 53 billion Yen through local fiscal measures, which is the amount of budget that can dispatch 46,300 special needs education supporters; 5,638 to public kindergarten, 43,586 to public elementary and middle schools and 482 to public high schools. The number of special needs education supporters has increased steadily.

The Long-Term Effects of Familial Difficulties Experienced in Childhood: Predictors of Internalizing Behavior Problems during the Early Adolescent Period and Late Life Periods

  • This study utilized data (a sample of 18,553 people born in 1958 in England, Scotland, and Wales) from the National Child Development Study of 1968 and 1991 to explore the influence of familial difficulties on the internalizing behavioral patterns during the early adolescent period and late life outcomes periods. In this paper, internalizing behavioral problems include 'depression', 'anxiety', 'hostility to adults', 'hostility to children', and 'withdrawal'. Late outcomes were analyzed in two different variables and one marital management domain: 'unemployment', 'seen doctors about emotional problems', 'divorce or separation; never lived as a couple; arguments end in violent behavior' The results indicate that young adolescents who had experienced familial difficulties also have internalizing behavioral problems giving them emotional and behavioral instability. The findings also show that familial difficulties during childhood positively contribute to late life outcomes such as unemployment, emotional problems, and marital management. This study suggests that in order to effectively respond to the needs of children and adolescents who have experienced various familial difficulties, counselors and educators must guide parents.

교육실습에 참여한 예비 초등교사들이 테크놀로지 활용 과학수업 실행에서 느끼는 어려움과 요구 (The Difficulties and Needs of Pre-service Elementary Teachers in the Science Class utilizing Smart Technologies in Teaching Practice)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify pre-service elementary school teachers' difficulties and needs in the science class utilizing smart technologies. The participants were nine pre-service elementary teachers who had practical training at an elementary school and took classes related to technology, pedagogy, and science knowledge. The data was collected through semi-constructed and in-depth interviews. The documents such as participants' guidance plans, daily records produced in teaching practice was collected and analyzed. The results of the research are as follow: Pre-service teachers have usually used the technology as a secondary transfer media to convey the knowledge. We found that the pre-service elementary teachers had 15 difficulties in the science class utilizing smart technologies. In addition, they needed a class to focus more on teaching them by integrating technology knowledge, pedagogy knowledge, and science knowledge, and by sharing a real case of science class utilizing smart technologies.

의료취약성 정도에 따른 노인의 미충족의료 경험 비교: 의료취약계층 노인의 필수적 의료자원 보장을 위한 시사점 (Differences in Unmet Healthcare Needs among the Elderly by the Level of Medical Vulnerability: Implications for Securing Essential Healthcare Resources for the Medically Vulnerable Elderly)

  • 이 연구는 우리나라 노인들을 의료취약성 정도에 따라 네 집단으로 세분화하여 경제적, 비경제적 사유로 인한 미충족의료 경험 차이를 분석하고, 이에 따른 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다. 2018년 한국의료패널 자료를 사용하였으며, 65세 이상 노인 4,147명에 대해 분석을 실시하였다. 노인들을 세분화한 결과, 일반건강보험가입자가 79.6%, 비수급빈곤층이 13.6%, 차상위경감대상자가 1.1%, 의료급여수급자가 5.7%의 비율을 차지하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 병의원 또는 치과진료에 대해 노인들의 12.6%는 경제적 사유로, 10.6%는 비경제적 사유로 미충족의료를 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 의료취약계층 노인의 미충족의료 경험률은 비취약계층인 일반건강보험가입자에 비해 전반적으로 높았는데, 이는 대부분 경제적 사유에 따른 경험률 차이에서 비롯된 것이었다. 경제적인 사유로 인한 미충족의료 경험률은 일반건강보험가입자가 9.8%였던 반면, 비수급빈곤층은 18.9%, 차상위경감대상자는 40.0%, 의료급여수급자는 31.5%로 큰 차이가 있었다. 다른 영향요인을 통제한 로지스틱 분석 결과, 모든 의료취약계층이 일반건강보험가입자에 비해 경제적 사유로 미충족의료를 경험할 확률이 유의하게 높았는데, 비수급빈곤층은 약 1.4배, 차상위경감대상자는 3.3배, 의료급여수급자는 2.4배 높아졌다. 반면, 비경제적 사유로 인한 경험은 일반건강보험가입자 대비 의료급여수급자의 경우에만 1.7배 증가하였고, 다른 집단에서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구는 의료취약계층 노인들의 필수적 의료자원 보장을 위한 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다.

말기 암 환자 가족이 경험하는 어려움에 관한 내용분석 (Content Analysis of Difficulties in Families with Terminal Cancer Patients)

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was to understand the caring experience of families with terminal cancer patients. Method: This was designed to be an inductive and descriptive study. Forty-seven families with terminal cancer patients were interviewed in depth and collected data were examined through content analysis. Result: The main categories of difficulties found in this study were 'suffering of patient', 'emotional suffering of family', 'bereavement of patient', 'difficulties in coping', 'problems in treatment', 'incurable situation', 'family problems', 'relationship with other people', 'economic problems', 'spiritual problems', 'problems in the future', 'informing patients of their condition', 'preparing death', 'emotional unstability', 'meaninglessness', 'unkindness of medical teams', 'poor environment for treatment', 'difficulties in hospital environment' and 'economic burden'. Conclusion: The main point found from this result was that families taking care of terminal cancer patients are suffering emotionally from watching the patients' pains and had difficulties in coping with the patients' situation and treatment. In addition, they had negative experiences in medical teams' attitude and hospital environment. This result can be used as an important guide for nurses to assess families' needs in the terminal care setting.
