  • This study investigates how naturally occurring parent groups form by using Schaefer's two axes of affection-rejection and autonomy-control, it also aims to verify whether there is a significant difference in the parent groups' emotional expressiveness and children's peer competence. A total of 201 kindergarten children between the age of 3 to 5 and their parents were given a questionnaire in order to investigate parenting attitudes and emotional expression. And children's teachers measured their peer competence. SPSS 18.0 was used and clustering analysis was conducted according to different parenting attitudes. The first fathers' group was named the lacking-affection group, the second was the democratic-reception group, the third was the ignorance group and the last was the rejection group. For mothers' groups, the first was named the rejection group, the second was the autonomous-control group and the third was the reception-respect group. Parents' emotional expressiveness of each group had a considerable difference while there was no significant difference between children's peer competence. This study was dedicated in deriving meaningful implications on the role of parents by investing the differences between each naturally occurring cluster.

  • Estimation of the process deviation is an important problem in statistical process control, especially in the control chart, process capability analysis or measurement system analysis. In this paper we suggest the use of the Gini's mean difference for the estimation of the c, the measure of the process deviation through a lots of simulations in various types of distributions. The Gini's mean difference uses the differences of all possible pairs of data. This point will improve the efficiency of estimation. In various classes of distributions, the Gini's mean difference shows good performance, in sense of bias of estimates or mean squared errors.

  • In this study, we compared the differences between groups in a model that investigates the effect of smartphone users on the intent to use continuously. There are various methodologies for group difference analysis, but in this study, we try to verify the size comparison of regression analysis $R^2$. In order to analyze the difference between groups, we try to prove through hypothesis test whether there is a meaningful difference in the intention of continuous use of Korean and Chinese smartphone users collected through previous research. The results of the analysis are useful as a method to determine whether smartphone users in China and Korea are aware of differences or not. According to this procedure, first, the formula for calculating Z-transformation of Fisher and Z-score test statistic calculation formula were used. However, this methodology is also used in the verification of control effect using correlation coefficient. Also, the theoretical implications are presented based on the analysis results.

  • This study introduces a transient analysis module developed for RAST-V and validates it using the Kalinin-3 benchmark problem. For the benchmark analysis, RAST-V standalone and STREAM/RAST-V calculations were performed. STREAM supplies the few-group constants and RAST-V conducts a 3D core simulation utilizing few-group cross-sectional data. To improve accuracy, the main solver was developed based on the advanced semi-analytic nodal method. To evaluate the computational capability of the transient analysis module in RAST-V, Kalinin-3 benchmark is employed. Kalinin-3 represents a coolant transient benchmark that offers experimental data during the deactivation of the Main Circulation Pumps. Consequently, the transient calculations reflected the changes in the reactor flow rate. Benchmark comprising steady-state and transient calculations. During the steady state, the STREAM/RAST-V combination demonstrated a 30 ppm root mean square difference from 0 to 128.50 EFPD. For the transient calculations, STREAM/RAST-V showed power differences within ±7 % over a range of 0-300 s. Axial offset differences were within ±3 %, and the RMS difference in radial power ranged within 2.596 % at both 0 and 300 s. Overall, this study effectively demonstrated the newly developed transient solver in RAST-V and validated it using the Kalinin-3 benchmark problem.
