In this paper, we will study the relationship between the controlling factor of the solution to a difference equation and the solution of the corresponding differential equation. Many times the controlling factors are the same. But even the controlling factor of the two solutions may be different, we will discover a way to compute, for first order non-linear equations, the controlling factor of the solution to the difference equation using the solution of the differential equation.

A generalized finite difference method for solving solid mechanics problems such as elasticity and crack problems is presented. The method is constructed in framework of Taylor polynomial based on the Moving Least Squares method and collocation scheme based on the diffuse derivative approximation. The governing equations are discretized into the difference equations and the nodal solutions are obtained by solving the system of equations. Numerical examples successfully demonstrate the robustness and efficiency of the proposed method.

Mittag-Leffler stability of nonlinear fractional nabla difference systems is defined and the Lyapunov direct method is employed to provide sufficient conditions for Mittag-Leffler stability of, and in some cases the stability of, the zero solution of a system nonlinear fractional nabla difference equations. For this purpose, we obtain several properties of the exponential and one parameter Mittag-Leffler functions of fractional nabla calculus. Two examples are provided to illustrate the applicability of established results.

In this paper, we investigate the relations between the growth of meromorphic coefficients and that of meromorphic solutions of complex linear differential-difference equations with meromorphic coefficients of finite logarithmic order. Our results can be viewed as the generalization for both the cases of complex linear differential equations and complex linear difference equations.

Let G be a (p, q) graph. Pair difference cordial number of a graph G is the least positive integer m such that G∪mK₂ is pair difference cordial. It is denoted by PDC_𝜂(G). In this paper we find the pair difference cordial number of bistar, complete, helm, star, wheel.

최근에 UWAC에 대한 연구가 많은 연구자와 학자들에 의해 연구되고 있다. 수중 환경에서 두 신호 사이의 시간 차이 추정 기법은 배경이 없는 영역에서 도착 시간 추정, 상관관계 추정, 그리고 시간 지연 추정의 3가지가 제시되어 있다. 이 논문에서는 위상 지연에 기반하여 두 신호 사이에서의 시간 차이 추정 기법을 제시한다.

본 논문은 MPEG 스트림 데이터에서 효과적으로 화면 전환 경계를 찾아내는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 연속적인 장면의 변화 정도를 표시하는 척도로써 히스토그램 차이 값(histogram difference value)과 픽셀 차이 값(pixel difference value)을 각각 하나의 신호로 취급한다. 이 신호에 중간 값 필터를 적용하여 얻어진 값과 원래의 신호의 차이값인 MFD(Median filtered difference) 값을 구한다. 이렇게 얻어진 MFD의 값이 크면 회면 전환이 일어남을 나타내며 따라서 컷 검출의 기준이 될 수 있다. 또한, 인공 신경망을 사용하여 컷 경계가 되는 MFD값의 문턱치를 결정한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 변화량이 심한 동영상이나 급작스럽게 밝아지는 프레임을 포함하는 동영상에서 적절히 컷 전환을 검출함을 보여 준다. 실험결과에서 제안된 알고리즘의 성능을 보여준다.

The purpose this study is to segments apparel market based on difference real-self image and ideal-self image. The objects of the study were to prepare for the establishment of marketing strategy and alternative plan intended to users which are needed in subdivided market, after analyzing according to what the subdivided market is divided into due to the difference real-self image and idea-self image and what difference do they show as a demographic special quality or as a general active special quality in each subdivided market. Factor analysis was performed to determine the leading difference real-self image and ideal-self image, and cluster analysis was employed to identify groups of respondents based on the delineated five image difference factors. Based on the finding, three distinct groups were formed: ideal-self image seeker group, moderators group, real-self image seeker group. And logistic regression was used to assess the relative importance that demographic characteristics play in determining the segmentation. The results of this study show statistically significant differences among the three groups in terms of demographic. Marketing and management implications for effectively targeting the segments are discussed.

A cabinet-door integrated finite element model was constructed for a built-in side-by-side refrigerator with an ice dispenser, and its deformation was analyzed using the ANSYS finite element software. As loads, the food load needed to fill in the cabinet and doors and the thermal load occurring during normal operation conditions were taken into consideration. The door height difference (DHD) and door flatness difference (DFD) between the two doors of the freezing and refrigerating compartments were derived. The DHD and DFD under the assembled condition without applied loads satisfied the acceptance criteria specified by the refrigerator manufacturer. It appeared that the food load increases the DFD slightly. The thermal load tends to increase the differences because of the thermal deformation, especially the DFD, of the cabinet and doors.
