환경 모니터링을 위한 압력 센서 연구 (A Study of Pressure Sensor for Environmental Monitoring)

  • 본 연구에서는 환경 모니터링을 위한 정전용량형 압력센서를 저온동시소성세라믹 (LTCC) 기술을 이용하여 제작하였다. LTCC 기술은 실리콘 기반의 기술에 비하여 낮은 생산 단가, 높은 수율, 3차원 구조물의 용이한 제작성 등으로 인하여 센서 응용분야에서 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있으며, 특히 열악한 외부환경에 적합한 물질이다. 400 ${\mu}m$ 두께 삼차원 구조의 LTCC 다이어프램은 NEG사의 MLS 22C 상용 파우더를 이용하여 100 ${\mu}m$ 두께의 그린쉬트를 적층하고 동시소결하여 제작하였다. 제작한 다이어프램은 공동의 면적에 따른 센싱특성을 평가하기 위하여 각각 25, 49 $mm^2$의 두 종류를 제작하였다. 정전용량형 압력센서를 구현하기 위하여 상부에는 열증착기를 이용하여 Au 금속박막을 증착하였고 하부에는 상용 알루미늄막을 압착하였다. 압력에 따른 센싱특성을 평가하기 위하여 제작된 측정시스템을 이용하여 0~30 psi의 압력을 가변하여 압력센서의 정전용량 변화를 측정한 결과 두 센서 모두에서 선형적인 센싱 특성을 나타냄을 확인하였다.

강상자형 다이아프램의 수직보강재 길이에 따른 거동 (Behavior on Vertical Stiffener Length of Steel Box Girder Support Diaphragm)

  • 사회적 환경에 따른 교량의 장대화와 단순화의 추세로 인해 구조적 시스템과 생명주기에서 교량 건설의 경제적 효율성이 증대되고 있다. 강교 제작의 경제성과 효율성을 위해 시공 전 상세한 구조해석이 실시되어져야 하며 특히 강상자형교에서는 지점부 다이아프램과 수직보강재가 초점이 되는 주요 부재중의 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 강상자형교를 시공하거나 확장, 보수하는 과정에서 일어나는 추가 사하중에 대하여 지점부의 다이아프램 거동 분석을 위해 실측과 구조해석을 통시에 수행하여 다이아프램부 응력 분배 거동을 분석하고 다이아프램 수각보강 재의 적절한 길이를 제안하고자 하였다.

용량형진공계 교정 불확도 (Calibration uncertainty of a capacitance diaphragm gauge)

  • 1,333 Pa 용량의 용량형진공계를 저진공 국가표준기인 초음파간섭 수은주압력계(ultrasonic interferometer manometer)를 이용하여 교정하였다. 이 결과의 불확도를 국제표준화기구의 권고안의 A형 불확도, B형 불확도, 합성표준불확도, 확장불확도 등으로 구분하여 평가하였다. 표준압력 1.76 Pa~1.31$\times$$10^3$Pa에서의 합성표준불확도는 $1.38 \times10^{-2}\; Pa\sim3.03 \times10^{-1} $Pa이었으며, 상대불확도(합성표준불확도/표준압력)는 $2.3 \times 10^{-4}\;Pa\sim7.9 X\times10^{-3} $Pa 이었다.

지반진동절연을 위한 공압제진대의 전달률 설계기법 (An Efficient Transmissibility-design Technique for Pneumatic Vibration Isolator)

  • Pneumatic vibration isolator has a wide application for ground-vibration isolation of vibration-sensitive equipments. Recent advances In precision machine tools and instruments such as nano-technology or medical devices require a better isolation performance, which can be efficiently done by precise modeling- and design- of the isolation system. This paper will discuss an efficient transmissibility design method for pneumatic vibration isolator by employing the complex stiffness model of dual-chamber pneumatic spring developed in our previous research. Three design parameters of volume ratio between the two pneumatic chambers, the geometry of capillary tube connecting the two pneumatic chambers and finally the stiffness of diaphragm necessarily employed for prevention of air leakage were found to be important factors in transmissibility design. Based on design technique that maximizes damping of dual-chamber pneumatic spring, trade-off among the resonance frequency of transmissibility, peak transmissibility and transmissibility in high frequency range was found, which was not ever stated in previous researches. Furthermore this paper will discuss about negative role of diaphragm in transmissibility design. Then the design method proposed in this paper will be illustrated through experiment at measurements.

소형엔진 기화기 내의 흡기 맥동 특성 (Characteristics of Pressure wave Pulsation at Carburetor on Small SI Engine)

  • This paper presents the pulsation of carburetor inlet and outlet pressure of a small SI gasoline engine. The engine used in this paper is a 23cc, single cylinder, diaphragm carburetor, two-stroke, air-cooled for brush cutter. The rpm and pressure wave pulsation at the inlet and the outlet of carburetor were measured and analysed for the understand of the internal air flow into the barrel on the diaphragm carburetor. These data should be used for the development of the duel fuel injection system for gasoline and LPG. The results showed that the carburetor inlet pressure variations were very steady, but the pressure variations at carburetor outlet were very sensitive to the pressure variation into the crank case and were to similar independently to the engine speed on partial opened throttle conditions. According to increasing engine speed, the pressure waves started to come out and be developed after closing the intake port of the engine at carburetor outlet. Reverse flow occurred on the WOT (wide open throttle) condition.

  • This paper describes the development process for vibration and acoustic characteristics of a balanced armature speaker. The design parameters were chosen in consideration of the influence of the bending stiffness of balanced armature which is the form of a cantilever structure in the speaker. For study of the performance of the speaker according to the design parameters, in the first step, we analyzed the characteristics of the velocity of the diaphragm to the electrical input. Next step, acoustic characteristics were analyzed by structural-acoustic coupled analysis. And the reliability of the analysis was verified by comparing the result of analysis with test results. Finally, we proposed a design method for implementing an enhanced balanced armature speakers through analysis method.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop diaphragm type pneumatic Left Ventricular Assist Device(LVAD) for clinical application and to evaluate its performance through the mock circulation and animal experiment. The blood housing and diaphragm are made by polyurethane. The relations of cardiac output us. beat rate and cardiac output vs. systolic-to-diastolic rate was estimated through the mock test and hemodynamic waves are recorded for the evaluation of VAD. We performed animal experiment and 4 animals survived more than 24hrs. As a result, the hemodynamic data and waves showed this system can be applicable to the animal experiment.

정유운반선 파형격벽에 대한 경량화 프로그램 개발 (Development of the Weight Reduction Program for Corrugated Bulkheads of a Product Oil Carrier)

  • For a Product Oil Carrier, longitudinal bulkhead as well as transverse one is corrugated shape in general and intersection part of bulkheads is utilized for a pipe trunk. Since lower and upper stools are to be connected with all of longitudinal and transverse bulkheads, they have a uniform height respectively. The purpose of this study is the development of design system for the minimization of total weight of longitudinal and transverse bulkheads at the initial design stage. In this study, the beam element models for longitudinal and transverse corrugated bulkheads are established and they are applied to the structural analysis. For the practical design, the selection and the position of an additional pipe trunk are considered in this study. In addition the required minimum distance between the bracket installed along the web of corrugation at lower stool and the diaphragm is taken into consideration during optimization process. Evolution strategy(ES) is adopted as an optimization technique.

상용차 오일압력 측정용 압력센서 제작을 위한 레이저용접기술 (Development of Laser Welding Technology for Commercial Vehicle Oil Pressure Sensor)

  • Using a fiber laser heat source, an oil pressure sensor was fabricated to measure the pressure in commercial vehicles. A stepping motor was used for the rotational and translational motion in the diaphragms and hardware joining. Laser welding process algorism including shielding gas control and vision system was integrated by using LabVIEW software for the high quality welding and in-line monitoring purpose. For the maximum flexibility in pressure transmission to the pressure sensor, thin sheet metal diaphragm, $25{\sim}50{\mu}m$(SUS-316L), was used and the diaphragms were optimally designed with FEM analysis. The welded samples were cross-sectioned the observation showed that the maximum depth ratio was more than seven times of diaphragms. The maximum welding speed was measured to be as high as 50in/mm by the developed automation mechanism. The fabricated prototypes were tested for the proof pressure, spring constant and sealing. The FEM results of spring constant measurement was as accurate as up to 80% of the design value and the sensor was safely operated up to the nominal pressure of 10bars.

Fatigue evaluation and CFRP strengthening of diaphragm cutouts in orthotropic steel decks

  • The cracking at the transverse diaphragm cutout is one of the most severe fatigue failures threatening orthotropic steel decks (OSDs), whose mechanisms and crack treatment techniques have not been fully studied. In this paper, full-scale experiments were first performed to investigate the fatigue performance of polished cutouts involving the effect of an artificial geometrical defect. Following this, comparative experimental testing for defective cutouts strengthened with carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) was carried out. Numerical finite element analysis was also performed to verify and explain the experimental observations. Results show that the combinative effect of the wheel load and thermal residual stress constitutes the external driving force for the fatigue cracking of the cutout. Initial geometrical defects are confirmed as a critical factor affecting the fatigue cracking. The principal stress 6 mm away from the free edge of the cutout can be adopted as the nominal stress of the cutout during fatigue evaluation, and the fatigue resistance of polished cutouts is higher than Grade A in AASHTO specification. The bonded CFRP system is highly effective in extending the fatigue life of the defective cutouts. The present study provides some new insights into the fatigue evaluation and repair of OSDs.
