A Research on Personal Environment Services for a Smart Home Network (스마트 홈 네트워크를 위한 개인환경서비스 연구)

  • Recently, the concept of PES(Personal Environment Service) is being widely discussed on various standardization organizations such as ITU-R, ETSI, 3GPP, TTA and etc. The purpose of PES is to introduce the services which can dynamically, automatically and intelligently reconfigures the electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment surrounding the user according to the user preferences included in a user's profile by using a smartphone embedding WPAN radio technologies such as bluetooth and WiFi. This research introduces an Android Platform-based PES system which consists of a PES app, PES devices and a PES server. A smartphone platform is Android 2.2(Froyo) version and 4 simulated PES devices were implemented by using Galaxy Tab. It has shown that the PES would be a killer application of M2M(Machine-to-Machine) or D2D(Device-to-Device) in the future and it would need to study how to update a user's profile based on analyzing user's behaviour for enhancing the PES user's satisfaction.

A Multimedia Contents Recommendation System for Mobile Devices using Push Technology (모바일 환경에서 푸쉬 기술을 이용한 개인화된 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 추천 시스템)

  • The appearance of wirelsss internet service made accessing easier than existing mobile devices. Due to the properity of mobile devices, we can easily obtain his/her profile information compared to a wired internet service. It enables to provide a personalized service through mobile devices. In this paper, we propose a recommendation service based on collaborative filtering method and a content push service. Using users' profile information, we recommand a target user's favoriate content. The recommanded contents are stored in mobile device through the push service. When we connect a wireless internet service, our mobile push service starts to cache from user's favorite contents. Especially, when we select a large mobile content, our system can reduce a download time by using our recommandation service. Also, in case of a connectionless, we can use a cached data from pushed content in our mobile device.

  • This study was developed the metallic plate for fixation in the femur fracture for the orthopedic region and rigid fixation with plates has a firm place in fracture treatment. Most plates can be used for rigid as well as biological and dynamical fracture fixation. The device's designation and sizing has a specific with bending structural stiffness and strength, known meaning that is reliable regardless of the plate by the short type and long type. Short plate have a wrapping of femur and long plate have to preserve a pole of femur. The bending strength of the curved metallic long plate has to evaluate a 11,000N and The bending strength of the curved metallic short plate has to evaluate a 6,525N. The tensile stress through to press a plate is $1573N/m^2\;and\;1539N/m^2$. The device can be used to support Revision case of Hip Implant and to use a case of Hip screw compression of Hip Neck Fracture.

  • Together with the activation of wireless Internet, the interest for various integrated methods of the existing wired and wireless e-commerces is on the rise. For the integrated wired and wireless e-commerce, firstly, the optimized security and authentication under the radio communication environment should be decided. And also the user-friendly usage is important. In this paper, we designed and implemented wired and wireless interworking Mobile Wallet on terminal that can be used through both wired and wireless methods by developing electronic wallet module for electronic payment using MIDP (Mobile Information Device Profile) based on J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition). The characteristics of mobile wallet implemented in this paper provide the stability through encoding/decoding payment information and on-line usage on wired/wireless environments through downloading electronic wallet. In addition, we also present safe and convenient payment method for e-commerce based on wired/wireless Internet.

Scaling theory to minimize the roll-off of threshold voltage for ultra fine MOSFET (미세 구조 MOSFET에서 문턱전압 변화를 최소화하기 위한 최적의 스켈링 이론)

  • In this paper, we have presented the simulation results about threshold voltage of nano scale lightly doped drain (LDD) MOSFET with halo doping profile. Device size is scaled down from 100nm to 40nm using generalized scaling. We have investigated the threshold voltage for constant field scaling and constant voltage scaling using the Van Dort Quantum Correction Model (QM) and direct tunneling current for each gate oxide thickness. We know that threshold voltage is decreasing in the constant field scaling and increasing in the constant voltage scaling when gate length is reducing, and direct tunneling current is increasing when gate oxide thickness is reducing. To minimize the roll off characteristics for threshold voltage of MOSFET with decreasing channel length, we know $\alpha$ value must be nearly 1 in the generalized scaling.

  • The present tendency of electrical and electronics is concentrated on MEMS devices for advantage of miniaturization, intergration, low electric power and low cost. Therefore it is essential that high aspect ratio and high etch rate by HDP technology development, so that silicon deep trench etching reactions was studied by ICP equipment. Deep trench etching of silicon was investigated as function of platen power, etch step time of etch/passivation cycle time and SF$\_$6/:C$_4$F$\_$8/ flow rate. Their effects on etch profile, scallops, etch rate, uniformity and selectivity were also studied.

  • The gerotor type device is mainly used in low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motors, and is also applied as a small priming hydraulic pump. For this reason, many studies have been conducted to increase the efficiency of the gerotor pump. In this paper, we propose a new tooth profile design method different from the existing method. The new tooth design is made by modifying the tooth surface using the amplification function of the trajectories, created along the inner and outer rolling circles around the base circle. The shape of the mate rotor is then created using rotation simulation techniques. Such shapes are described as hypercloid. The designed hypercloid rotor is compared with the existing trochoid rotor, and the characteristics of the parameters and volumetric displacements are analyzed. Through this process, the optimum design with larger volumetric displacement than the existing rotor is achieved.

Preventing a Gate Oxide Thinning in C-MOS process Using a Dual Gate Oxide (Dual Gate Oxide 공정에서 Gate Oxide Thinning 방지에 대한 고찰)

  • We propose an improvement method for a $\underline{G}ate$ $\underline{OX}ide(GOX)$ thinning at the edge of $\underline{S}hallow$ $\underline{T}rench$ $\underline{I}solation(STI)$, when STI is adopted to Dual Gate Oxide(DGOX) Process. In the case of SOC(System On-a-Chip), the DGOX process is usually used for realizing both a low and a high voltage parts in one chip. However, it is found that the severe GOX thinning occurs from at STI top edge region and a dent profile exists at the top edge of STI, when conventional DGOX and STI process carried out in high density device chip. In order to overcome this problem, a new DGOX process is tried in this study. And we are able to prevent the GOX thinning by H2 anneal, partially SiN liner skip, and a method which is merged a thick sidewall oxide(S/O) with a SiN pull-back process. Therefore, a good subthreshold characteristics without a double hump is obtained by the prevention of a GOX thinning and a deep dent profile.

  • 스마트 홈을 구현하기 위한 핸드폰을 이용한 리모트 컨트롤러나 PDA를 통한 통합 리모트 컨트롤러 등의 통합 리모트 컨트롤러에 관한 연구는 활발히 진행되어 오고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 리모트 컨트롤러에 관한 연구에 대해 두 가지의 새로운 방향을 생각해 보았다. 첫째로 리모트 컨트롤러를 작동시키기 위해서는 핸드폰이나 PDA등의 input 디바이스가 반드시 필요했던 단점을 보완해서 임베디드 보드에 input device 기능을 포함하는 것이다. 그리고 두 번째는 임베디드 리모트 컨트롤러에 user profile을 두어서 단순한 채널 변경의 기능만을 하는 리모트 컨트롤러가 아니라 사용자의 선호도 등의 정보를 가지고 지능적으로 집안 환경을 최적화된 조건으로 만들 수 있도록 설계 했다. 즉 사용자가 가장 좋아하는 TV채널이나 실내온도 등의 정보를 가지고 각 사용자에게 최적화된 환경을 리모트 컨트롤러가 스스로 작동시킬 수 있게 되는 것이다. 그리고 가전을 작동시키기 위해서 임베디드 보드에 있는 IrDA 통신모듈을 통해 일정한 코드 값만 보내주면 되기 때문에 일반적으로 리모트 컨트롤러로 제어가 가능한 거의 모든 전자제품이 쉽게 제어 가능하다.

Comparison of Digital Radiometric Features between Radicular Cysts and Periapical Granulomas (치근단낭과 육아종의 디지털방사선학적 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate whether a radiometric analysis of radicular cysts and periapical granulomas is useful in the differential diagnosis. In this experiment, twenty-nine periapical radiographs of the radicular cyst and those periapical granuloma were used. The periapical radiography was taken by intraoral paralleling device. The X-ray film was digitized and digitally filtered to reduce film-grain noise. We estimated density difference of the inner/outer area, roundness or circularity, bone profile or scan line of the margin and cumulative percentage frequency curve of radicular cyst & periapical granuloma. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The differences in density between ROIs of inner and outer area of radicular cysts were smaller than those of periapical granulomas. 2. The equivalent circular diameter was over 6.3mm, there was significant difference between periapical cyst and periapical granuloma. 3. In differential diagnosis of radicular cyst and periapical granuloma using bone profile. sensitivity. specificity and accuracy were considerably high(0.83. 0.86. 0.86) respectively. 4. Cumulative percentage frequency curve of the radicular cyst was closer to the pseudo-pixel value of 50 than average curve, whereas periapical granuloma was closer to that of 0. Hence we conclude that digital radiometric features might be useful in the differential diagnosis between radicular cyst and periapical granuloma.
