This paper was conducted to prevent and respond to crimes by predicting crimes based on artificial intelligence. While the quality of life is improving with the recent development of science and technology, various problems such as poverty, unemployment, and crime occur. Among them, in the case of crime problems, the importance of crime prediction increases as they become more intelligent, advanced, and diversified. For all crimes, it is more critical to predict and prevent crimes in advance than to deal with them well after they occur. Therefore, in this paper, we predicted crime types and crime tools using the Multiclass Logistic Regression algorithm and Multiclass Neural Network algorithm of machine learning. Multiclass Logistic Regression algorithm showed higher accuracy, precision, and recall for analysis and prediction than Multiclass Neural Network algorithm. Through these analysis results, it is expected to contribute to a more pleasant and safe life by implementing a crime prediction system that predicts and prevents various crimes. Through further research, this researcher plans to create a model that predicts the probability of a criminal committing a crime again according to the type of offense and deploy it to a web service.

One of the oldest, most common engineering problems is measuring the dimensions of different objects and the distances between locations. In AEC/FM, related uses vary from large-scale applications such as measuring distances between cities to small-scale applications such as measuring the depth of a crack or the width of a welded joint. Within the last few years, advances in applying new technologies have prompted the development of new measuring devices such as ultrasound and laser-based measurers. Because of wide varieties in type, associated costs, and levels of accuracy, the selection of an optimal measuring technology is challenging for construction engineers and facility managers. To tackle this issue, we present an overview of various measuring technologies adopted by experts in the area of AEC/FM. As the next step, to evaluate the performance of these technologies, we select one indoor and one outdoor case and measure several dimensions using six categories of technologies: tapes, total stations, laser measurers, ultrasound devices, laser scanners, and image-based technologies. Then we evaluate the results according to various metrics such as accuracy, ease of use, operation time, associated costs, compare these results, and recommend optimal technologies for specific applications. The results also revealed that in most applications, computer vision-based technologies outperform traditional devices in terms of ease of use, associated costs, and accuracy.
This study analyzed cases of hydrogen (H2) and natural gas (CH4) leakage from a hydrogen-blended natural gas pipeline to determine a range of leakage characteristics, including leakage type, pipe material, pipe diameter, pressure, and damage size. Based on the results of this analysis, five hydrogen-blended natural gas leakage scenarios were selected. The national vision for a carbon-neutral society by 2050 is a very important strategic objective and promotes environmentally sustainable economic development in the age of the climate crisis. Accordingly, zero-carbon and low-carbon policies are being promoted in various fields, including energy production, consumption, and industrial processes. Hydrogen-blended natural gas is eco-friendly and is considered an important step towards carbon neutrality, with various countries including the United States and several European countries conducting empirical research to further investigate its potential. In Korea, a national research project commenced in April 2023 to verify and demonstrate the life cycle safety of blending hydrogen into the natural gas network. The results of this study will provide important data for the analysis of the damage impacts caused by the leakage of hydrogen-blended natural gas, such as the diffusion of gas clouds, fires, and gas explosions.
The demand for an environment-friendly transportation system, equipped with low energy consumption, and low-or zero-pollution has been on the increase since the beginning of the World Trade Organization era. Simultaneously, the consistent growth of high-speed tram technology, combined with market share, has sparked a fierce competition among technologically-advanced countries like France, Germany, and Japan in an effort to keep the lead in high-speed train technology via extensive Research and development(R&D) expenses. These countries are leaders in the race to implement the next-generation transportation system, build intercontinental rail way networks and export the high-speed train as a major industry commodity. The need to develop our own(Korean) 'high-speed train' technology and its core system technology layouts including original technology serves a few objectives: They boost the national competitive edge; they develop an environmental friendly rail road system that can cope with globalization and minimize the social and economic losses created by the growing traffic-congested delivery costs, environment pollution, and public discomforts. In turn, the 'G7 Project-Development of High Speed Railway Technology' held between 1996 and 2002 for a six-year period was focused on designing a domestic train capable of traveling at a speed of 350km/h combined and led to the actual implementation of engineering and producing the '2000 high-speed train:' This paper summarizes and introduces one of the G7 Projects-specifically, the design segment achievement within the development of train system engineering technology. It is true that the design aspect of the Korean domestic railway system program as a whole was lacking when compared with the advanced railroad countries whose early phase of train design emphasized the design aspect. However, having allowed the active participation of expert designers in the early phase of train design in the current project has led to a new era of domestic train development and the implementation of a way to meet demand flexibly with newly designed trains. The idea of a high-speed train in Korea and its design concept is well-conceived: a faster, more pleasant, and silent based Korean high-speed train that facilitates a new travel culture. A Korean-type of high-speed train is acknowledged by passengers who travel in such trains. The Korean high-speed prototype train has been born, combining aerodynamic air-cushioned design, which is the embodiment of Korean original design of forehead of power car minimized aerodynamic resistance using a curved car body profile, and the improvement of the interior design with ergonomics and the accommodation of the vestibule area through the study of passenger behavior and social culture that is based on the general passenger car.

The number of tunnels are in fact increasing as a part of linear improvement project of general national highway and road enlargement and pavement project. Recently, collapses of portal slope are also occurring considerably, due to local raining from severe rain storm and abnormal weather. Accordingly, it was risen a necessity to efficiently respond to tunnel portal slope damage and maintenance in Korea and oversea nations. This paper is a basic proposal to execute a survey on the current status and state of the tunnel portal slopes that were already installed and are now being operated along general national highways, and also to execute state evaluation for the purpose of managing those effectively. As a research method, domestic tunnels were analyzed in accordance with geometrical shape such as access type, portal form, and tunnel type, etc. via field survey to analyze the types of tunnel portal slopes along national highways. State evaluation classification sheet is presented to divide classes for the danger state of the surveyed portal slopes, and then the related grades are divided. It is mainly aimed at classifying the tunnel portal slope along national highways with using this state evaluation, to use it as basic data so that continuous maintenance can be executed in the future in accordance with danger classes.
The May 18 Democratic Movement has been considered to be specific case of the big deviation in social memory among the events that occurred after the Korea War. Compared with other events associated with the democratization movement, the May 18 Democratic Movement is special in that can be achieved various changed meaning. In this study, primary focus will be on the background and logics to show what changed the meaning of the May 18 Democratic Movement from the perspectives of the memorial project. And to investigate influences of change of meaning on perspectives and forms of memorial projects. Recognition and forms of memorial projects on the May 18 Democratic Movement had been largely changed around 2000s. Memorial projects were the aspects that are the logics of the social movements absorbed into the logics of the institutionalization before 2000s. During this period, it was done primarily the discourse of a holy ground for democracy and sanctuarization, had characterized the nature of the struggle of memory. After 2000s, the May 18 Democratic Movement has been interpreted historical resources to create a cultural city and a human rights city. Sometimes the May 18 Democratic Movement was appropriated by local development discourse, and sometimes was adopted as the material of differentiation strategy in the city. Form of memorial projects has also been changed type of struggle of memory to type of heritage industry.

In the construction industry, not only safety accidents, but also various complex risks such as construction delays, cost increases, and environmental pollution occur, and management technologies are needed to solve them. Among them, process risk management, which directly affects the project, lacks related information compared to its importance. This study tried to develop a MATM tunnel process risk classification system to solve the difficulty of risk information retrieval due to the use of different classification systems for each project. Risk collection used existing literature review and experience mining techniques, and DB construction utilized the concept of natural language processing. For the structure of the classification system, the existing WBS structure was adopted in consideration of compatibility of data, and an RBS linked to the work species of the WBS was established. As a result of the research, a risk classification system was completed that easily identifies risks by work type and intuitively reveals risk characteristics and risk factors linked to risks. As a result of verifying the usability of the established classification system, it was found that the classification system was effective as risks and risk factors for each work type were easily identified by user input of keywords. Through this study, it is expected to contribute to preventing an increase in cost and construction period by identifying risks according to work types in advance when planning and designing NATM tunnels and establishing countermeasures suitable for those factors.

The regional strategic industry support has been increasingly developed due to the change of environmental and political conditions for the last 10 years. As the paradigm changed from the central government-sponsored system to regional government-sponsored system, the policy has been diversified into various support systems such as regional strategic industry, specialized industry, supporting technology, supporting business, etc. It is crucial to establish the overall development plans and project strategies for the regional industry in terms of effectiveness and efficiency which will generate an integrated strategic frame to adjust overlapped supporting policies and offer a consumer-oriented service. Not only does the study focus on performance-based outcome regarding to a regional business (supporting policy) portfolio, but it also analyzes and proves an empirical decision-making model to draw out the priority and relative importance according to the regional strategic industry and support cases by analyzing the case of Chungnam area's strategic industry support in 2009. Following a priority list of 20 support cases selected from this research model by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the result shows that the diverse support plans are needed according to the different strategic industries or the size of enterprise due to the fact that priority of project type varies upon the characteristics of strategic industry. Thus, the support project needs to generate various strategic industries and develop differentiated support policy to consolidate competitiveness of regional enterprises and revitalize the regional economy.
It is very difficult problem to estimate and evaluate the performance of e-government system which scope and size are large and its effectiveness can not be seen shortly but reveals after several years. It is because the previous offline processes can not be transformed to online ones fully and shortly. For such e-transformation cases, the performance evaluation model should be adjusted and modified gradually as time passes. This paper propose new EEM(E-transformation Evaluation Model) model and methodology to evaluate G2B system that is one of large e-government project. EEM model can derive monetary value of e-transformatized business process areas(online areas). It also estimate the expected effect of offline area that is not yet transformed to online. EEM model consists of standard model, verification model and estimation model with some variables such as evaluation year, evaluation area and data type. By using survey data and database data together it can validate the correctness of the model and derive the effect of the system introduction. This paper also propose EEM evaluation methodology consisting of 5 stages and 10 sub processes to evaluate online and offline effect efficiently. To show the usefulness of this study, we evaluate the performance of Korea G2B system named KONEPS which is famous as a successful e-government case in the world by using the proposed model and methodology. The proposed model and methodology can be applied to different similar areas including e-government projects and large scale information system introduction in private sectors. This study can be also used for establishing appropriate policies about e-government project and informatization issues.

4D system has applied to construction project as a management tool after the late 1990's. Various 4D systems have been developed, however they have some problems that should be improved. Especially, the 4D system for civil engineering project needs synthesized 3D model between natural ground condition and physical facility type. It is a different problem comparing with the system for building project. 1'his study suggests an automatically synthesizing methodology between ground triangulate network and design triangulate network. Furthermore the study develops an application methodology of multi-texturing technique defined in virtual reality modeling language (VRML) for skipping the 3D model synthesizing process from the 4D model development processes. The suggested methodology is applied to the prototype of real 4D system. The proposed technique for 3D modeling may be used as an essential methodology for developing 4D system for civil engineering projects.
