A Study on Optimization of the Vehicle Intake System for Obtaining Sporty Sound Quality (스포티 음색 구현을 위한 자동차 흡기 시스템의 최적화 연구)

  • In the study, it is considered sporty car as 1400cc entry cars using sound generator. These cars are required special sound quality, also sporty sound quality. The operational principle of this sound generator system is that on the operation of the engine intake valves caused pulsating is to shake the membrane of the sound generator on the inside of the driver front dash panel through the intake manifold, which will deliver the required sound quality and tone. For the component constructed sound generator, main design parameters are selected and optimized using the daguchi's method. The results are as follows; The C2 sound level must be minimized and C4 level must be maximized. And also overall level keeps linear characteristics.

  • A basic study was performed to develop a mini gas generator by using a commercial automotive airbag inflater. The mini gas generator can be used for industrial and military application like a seat belt pretensioner. Some parameters were experimentally investigated to reduce the size of the inflater. Basic combustion tests were performed in the closed chamber and measured the pressure and the temperature behavior according to the design parameters. From the study, essential parameters were determined to design a mini gas generator.

  • In this paper, to design and performance analysis of brushless synchronous generator is presented. To identify the performance of the designed brushless synchronous generator, the prototype generator is manufactured and estimated as the terminal voltage and frequency when the rated load is given to the generator.

  • In the manufacture of integrated circuits, photolithography is the lowest yield step in present production lines. Electron beams form a powerful set of tools with which to attack this problem. Electron beams can be used to make patterns that are smaller than can a photolithography. We design a high voltage generator of electron beam manufacturing system. For this purpose, first, the configuration of electron beam manufacturing system was analyzed. Second, the basic configuration of a high voltage generator and test results were presented.

  • This paper describes the design and analysis of AlN piezoelectric micro generator. The generator was designed to convert ambient vibration energy to electrical power as a AlN piezoelectric material compatible with integataion process. From the simulation results, the resonance frequency of designed model is about 360 Hz and analyzed the bending mode, displacement and expectation output.

  • In this paper, annual energy production(AEP) of the wind generator system is analogized considering the regions of a variable wind speed and it is applied to optimal design of the PM wind generator for capturing maximum energy in the operating regions. In addition, internet parallel computing is used to loose excessive calculation times through optimization of the finite element analysis(FEA).

In this paper, the design requirements For GCB of nuclear power plant is examined. NRC presented the area of review, acceptance criteria and review procedures of GCB in the SRP(Standard Review Plan). In Korea, APR1400 adapted the GCB in main power system.

  • A thermal sizing code, named as HSGSA (Helical coil Steam Generator Sizing Analyzer), for a sodium heated helical coil steam generator is developed for KALIMER (Korea Advanced LIquid MEtal Reactor) design. The theoretical modeling of the shell and tube sides is described and relevant correlations are presented. For assessment of HSGSA, a reference plant design case is compared to the calculational outputs from HSGSA simulation.

  • Permanent-magnet (PM) synchronous generator is feasible for use with a wind turbine, because the generator for wind power requires variable-speed generation, light weight, and high torque. In this paper, basic design and construction of an axial-flux permanentmagnet generator with power output at 60 [Hz], 300 [r/min] for wind energy system is introduced. Finite-element method (FEM) is applied to analyze generator performance. In order to save time, equivalent analysis model is developed. The performance of the proposed generator at no-load and resistive load are compared, and power output and voltage at various speed and loads are compared as well. The results of FE analysis show that this PM generator is a useful solution for small-scale wind-turbine applications.

  • This paper presents an axial flux permanent magnet synchronous generator with a high power-to-weight ratio, dedicated for small-scale gearless wind power generation plants. For this purpose, a specific design is necessary to meet the imposed requirements. In this paper the design technique for the specifications is presented. The aim of the paper is also to discuss some of the first obtained test results and the involved demagnetizing problem (i.e. short-circuit).
