멀티코어 SoC의 테스트 시간 감축을 위한 테스트 Wrapper 설계 (A Test Wrapper Design to Reduce Test Time for Multi-Core SoC)

  • 본 논문은 멀티 코어 SoC의 전체 테스트 시간 감축을 위한 효율적인 테스트 wrapper 설계 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 잘 알려진 Combine 알고리즘을 사용하여 멀티코어 SoC의 각 코어에 대해 초기 local wrapper해 집합을 구성하고 가장 긴 테스트 시간을 소모하는 코어를 dominant 코어로 선택한다. Dominant 코어의 테스트 시간을 기준으로 다른 코어들에 대해 wrapper 특성인 TAM 와이어 수와 테스트 시간을 조정한다. Design space exploration을 위해 일부 코어들의 TAM 와이어 수를 줄이고 테스트 시간을 증가시킨다. 변경된 wrapper 특성을 기존 local wrapper 해 집합에 추가한다. 코어들의 기존 local wrapper 해 집합이 global wrapper 해 집합으로 확장되어 스케줄러에 의한 멀티코어 SoC의 전체 테스트 시간이 감소한다. 제안된 wrapper의 효과는 ITC'02 벤치마크 회로에 대해 $B^*$-트리 기반의 테스트 스케줄러를 사용하여 검증된다. 실험 결과 기존의 wrapper를 사용하는 경우에 비해 테스트 시간이 평균 4.7% 감소한다.

Modular and versatile platform for the benchmarking of modern actuators for robots

  • This work presents a test platform for the assessment and benchmarking of modern actuators which have been specifically developed for the new field and service robotics applications. This versatile platform has been designed for the comparative analysis of actuators of dissimilar technology and operating conditions. It combines a modular design to adapt to linear and rotational actuators of different sizes, shapes and functions, as well as those with different load capacities, power and displacement. This test platform emulates the kinematics of robotic joints while an adaptive antagonist-load actuator allows reproducing the variable dynamic loads that actuators used in real robotics applications will be subjected to. A data acquisition system is used for monitoring and analyzing test actuator performance. The test platform combines hardware and software in the loop to allow actuator performance characterization. The use of the proposed test platform is demonstrated through the characterization and benchmarking of three controllable impedance actuators recently being incorporated into modern robotics.

  • 본 논문은 액체산소와 케로신을 추진제로 하는 한국형발사체 1단 엔진의 성능평가를 위한 엔진 지상연소시험설비 개발 현황을 기술하였다. 한국형발사체 75톤급 엔진 지상 연소시험설비의 설계 요구조건에 기반한 설계 규격 및 설비 구성을 제시하였다. 엔진 지상 연소시험설비 기본설계 결과는 향후 한국형발사체 75톤급 엔진 지상 연소시험설비의 상세설계 및 구축을 위한 기본 자료로 활용될 예정이다.

Optimal M-level Constant Stress Design with K-stress Variables for Weibull Distribution

  • Most of the accelerated life tests deal with tests that use only one accelerating variable and no other explanatory variables. Frequently, however, there is a test to use more than one accelerating or other experimental variables, such as, for examples, a test of capacitors at higher than usual conditions of temperature and voltage, a test of circuit boards at higher than usual conditions of temperature, humidity and voltage. A accelerated life test is extended to M-level stress accelerated life test with k-stress variables. The optimal design for Weibull distribution is studied with k-stress variables.

CANDU 사용후핵연료 저장바스켓 설계 개선안 도출 (Design Enhancement of CANDU S/F Storage Basket)

  • 월성원자력본부의 조밀건식저장시설인 MACSTOR/KN-400의 인허가 과정에서 사고조건에 대한 바스켓의 안전성 평가를 위한 실증시험의 필요성이 제기되었다. 실증시험을 위한 낙하시험시설을 한국원자력연구원에 설치하고 바스켓 낙하 실증시험을 수행하였다. 실증시험 결과 실린더 내 적재 바스켓의 상부 용접부가 낙하 바스켓과 충돌하여 파손되고 누설이 발생하였다. 기존 바스켓이 실증시험에서 누설율 성능요건을 만족하지 못함에 따라 바스켓의 설계 개선안 도출이 필요하게 되었다. 설계 개선을 위한 방향을 선정하고 이에 기초하여 6 종류의 설계 개선안을 도출하였다. 개별 설계 개선안에 대하여 구조해석 및 시편시험을 수행하였다. 구조해석 및 시편시험의 결과를 바탕으로 최종설계안을 확정하였다. 최종설계안은 바스켓의 중앙 포스트의 높이를 감소하여 낙하 바스켓과의 충돌속도를 감소시키는 설계안이었다. 최종설계안에 대한 시험모델을 제작하여 낙하실증시험을 재수행한 결과 모든 성능요건을 만족하였다.

  • The load requirements should be known to design mechanical structure. This paper proposes a generation method of load requirements using U.S. military specification to design the external mounting structure of the helicopters of which the flight environments such as aerodynamic forces and inertia forces are unknown. In this study, the load requirements which were applied at the design of the pod structure for helicopter captive flight test could be computed by using this method. The validation of proposed method was confirmed from the test flight using developed pod system.

설계유형에 따른 향기요법의 효과 (Comparing the Effects of Aromatherapy on Dysmenorrhea by Research Design)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine whether there is difference in the effects of aromatherapy on dysmenorrhea by research design. Methods: Findings from the two different research designs (Nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest [NCG] design vs. two-group crossover design) were compared in regard to the effect of aromatherapy on dysmenorrhea. The subjects of the NCG design and the crossover design were a total of 58 female nursing students. The treatments (aroma essential oil inhalation and carrier oil inhalation) were given using a necklace. The data were analyzed by Fisher's exact test, t-test, Mann-Whitney test, paired t-test, and Shapiro-Wilk test using the SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. The effect size for the two research designs was calculated. Results: In both research designs, the level of dysmenorrhea and menstrual pain after the aroma treatment were not significantly different from those after the placebo treatment. The effect size of the NCG design was higher than that of the crossover design. Conclusion: Aroma inhalation may not be effective in managing dysmenorrhea and menstrual pain. In order to further clarify the efficiency of research design and the effect of aromatherapy on discomfort during menstruation, replication studies are necessary. Future studies need to examine the effects of different research design on non-interval variables.

헬리콥터용 축소 복합재료 힌지없는 허브 부품 제작 및 구조 시험 (Manufacture and Structural Test of the Small-scaled Composite Hingeless Hub Part for Helicopter)

  • This report describes the procedure of detailed design and structural test for the composite flexure which is a part of the hingeless hub system. First, stacking sequence design for composite flexure was done, and structural analysis by using NASTRAN was made to verify structural stability and safety. Using FPS installed at KIMM, composite flexure was laid up and cured using a autoclave. Before rotor ground test, the basic structural tests such as a bench test, tensile strength test and shear strength test, for flexure, were accomplished. Through replacing existing metal hub part with new fabricated composite flexure, improvement of aeroelastic stability and weight reduction were achieved. This result will be applied to composite rotor system design fur helicopter.

중앙119구조본부 소방대원용 화학 보호복과 방열복의 동작적합성 평가 및 디자인 개선 (Enhancing Design and Evaluating Mobility of Firefighting Chemical and Flame Protective Clothing for the National 119 Rescue Headquarters)

  • The present study developed a test protocol for evaluating the mobility of firefighting chemical and flame personal protective equipment (PPE) for the National 119 Rescue Headquarters in Korea and suggested ergonomic design factors to improve their mobility and performance. Six types of PPE were employed, including three types for flame protective PPE (5 ~ 6 kg excluding the self-contained breathing apparatus), and three types for chemical and flame protective PPE (8 ~ 11 kg). These PPEs are used by the 119 Rescue firefighters. Three male firefighters (34.3 ± 1.2 y in age, 175 ± 8 cm in height, 81 ± 13 kg in body weight) participated in the mobility test and interview. A mobility test protocol consisting of 16 components (nine postures and seven motions including a dexterity test) along with a visibility test were developed based on pre-interviews and literature reviews. The findings indicated that the clothing microclimate humidity on the neck and chest exceeded 85%RH on average for all the six PPE conditions, with the chest area reaching as high as 98%RH. This high humidity caused fogging inside the visor and impaired visibility. The requirements for improving the PPE design in terms of mobility varied depending on whether it was the separated types or all-in-one types, particularly regarding the hood and gloves design. The findings of this study can be applied to improve the design of Level A_PPE for firefighters. The mobility test protocol and visibility test developed in this study can also be applied to other types of Level A impermeable PPE.

고장 검풀이 용이한 Zipper CMOS 회로의 설계 (Testable Design for Zipper CMOS Circuits)

  • This paper proposes a new testable design for Zipper CMOS circuits. This design provides an additional feedback loop (called self oscillation loop) whichin the circuit, for testability. The circuit is tested only by observing the oscillation on the loop. The design can be applied to the multistage as well as the single stage, and can detect multiple faults which are undetectable by the conventional testing method. The application and evaluation of test patterns become easy and fault-free responses are not necessary. If the conventional testing method is applied to the sequential Zipper CMOS circuit with the LSSD design technique, it has the serious defect that the initial value may change due to intermediate test patterns and much time taken to apply the necessary test patterns. By using the proposed design, however, the sequential Zipper CMOS circuit with the LSSD design technique can be easily tested without such a defect. Also, the validity of the design is verified by performing the circuit level simulation.
