Recently, a barium(Ba) and an iodine(I) being studied as a conventional lead(Pb) alternatives of shielding material has excellent shieding rate, but the characteristic x-ray photons in the energy range near 30 keV line is released. In this study, with bismuth oxide(BiO) coupled barium sulfate($BaSO_4$) double layer, transmitted spectra, shieding rates and relative weighting rates were evaluated to validate the applicability of eco-friendly double layer shieding structure using monte carlo simulations as a prior study. From the evaluation results, in 0.4mm and 0.5mm thickness of BiO layers coupled with top 0.1mm-$BaSO_4$ layer, the shieding rate showed 1.9% and 3.9% higher than 0.6mm thickness of Pb single layer, respectively. In addition, the relative weight also 28% and 34.5% lower than 0.6mm-Pb in 0.4mm and 0.5mm thickness of BiO layers coupled with top 0.1mm-$BaSO_4$ layer.
In recent years, 3D printing technology has received significant research attention. Additionally, 3D printing technology is being applied to study radiation dosimeters of various materials. In this study, a plastic scintillator for 3D printing was developed in a laboratory and used to manufacture a plastic scintillation dosimeter (PSD) with a shape identical to that of the ionization chamber PTW31010. The 16-mm beam of Gamma Knife® Perfexion™ was irradiated to derive the absorbed dose rates of the PSD and PTW31010; they were subsequently compared with the dose rates of the treatment plan. The differences in the dose rates of the Gamma Knife treatment plan and the absorbed dose rates of PTW31010 were within 0.87%. The difference between the dose rates of the Gamma Knife treatment plan and the absorbed dose rates of the PSD were within 4.1%. A linear fit of the absorbed dose rates of four shots involving different dose rates and irradiation angles yielded an adjusted R-square value exceeding 0.9999. A total of 10 repeated measurements were conducted for the same shot to confirm its reproducibility, with a relative error of 0.56%.

Human equivalent phantoms manufactured using 3D printers are cheaper and can be manufactured in a short time than conventional human phantoms. However, many phantoms are manufactured with less than 100 % of Infill Density, one of the 3D printer output setting variables. Therefore, this study compared the Bone Phantom CT number, which differs from the ratio of five Infill Density produced using a 3D printer, to the CT number of the actual human body Bone. In addition, the usefulness of the manufactured phantom was evaluated by producing a 100 % elbow joint phantom with Infill Density and setting the Infill Density to 100 % through CT number comparison for each tissue on computed tomography (CT). As a result, the Bone Phantom printed with 100 % Infill Density did not show the most statistically significant difference from the CT number value of the actual human Bone, and the CT number of each tissue did not show a statistically significant difference from the CT number value of each tissue of the actual human elbow joint.
As the research for analyzing the awareness and the performance level for infection control of radiological technologists working at the clinic located in Gyoungsangnam province, this study was conducted to provide the basic education data of infection control for radiological technologist who works in the clinic. During July 14, 2014 to March 31, 2015, after we sent out a total of 150 questionnaires for the survey to radiological technologists working at the clinic located in Gyoungsangnam province, 131 questionnaires suitable for research were analysis by using SPSS 18.0 statistical analysis software. As the infection control factors, a total of 60 items about the awareness and the performance level for infection control (12 items for infection control characteristics included) were analyzed. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and regression analysis were performed based on the general characteristics of the study subjects. Regarding the awareness factor for infection control, the total awareness level was high as $4.15{\pm}.05$ and the total performance level was also high as $4.05{\pm}.05$. Through these results, although the performance level was slightly lower than awareness level, the level of infection control of the radiological technologists working at the clinics located in Gyeongnam was analyzed to be relatively high. The infection control of the clinic's radiological technologist should be carried out through the continuous infection education and prevention activities of the hospital staff, and radiological technologist working in clinics should also be positioned as specialists in infection control.

The purpose of this study was to assess the impact by comparing the concentration of indoor radon and look for ways to lower the concentration of indoor radon gas measurements of three variables, the year of completion, volume of the building and ventilation. Measurement target is six classrooms on the sixth floor of building that was constructed in 1973 and was extended in 2011. Selected classroom's volume is different. Four classrooms were selected to compare the radon concentration in accordance with the year of completion, Classrooms that is same year of completion were selected to compare the radon concentration in accordance with the volume, six classroom was performed closure and ventilation to compare radon concentration according to ventilation. Radon concentrations in accordance with the year of building completion showed a high concentration of radon in a building recently built. Also, Radon concentration in volume is high the smaller the volume. Radon concentration change according to ventilation showed a reduction of about 80% when the ventilation than during closing. Especially, The radon concentrations were high detected while the recently year of building completion and the smaller volume. Ventilation of the three variables is considered that can be expected to exposure reduction effect by radon affecting the greatest radon concentration reduction.
As the research about supplementary education of radiological technologist who works in medical clinics, this study was conducted to draw the improvements by analyzing the satisfaction level and problems of the supplementary education. During November 01, 2016 to April 30, 2017, after we distributed a total of 150 questionnaires for the survey to radiological technologists working at medical clinics located in Changwon-si, Gyoungsangnam province, 106 questionnaires suitable for research were analysis by using SPSS 18.0 statistical analysis software. As the sociodemographic characteristics, the age, gender, working period, level of education, and working department were used. And As the welfare factors, working environment, financial support, educational opportunity, medical support, working culture, etc. were used. As the satisfaction factors, 21 items such as system, subject, help, appropriateness of lecturer selection, professionalism were used. And as the problem factors, 18 items such as place, transportation, diversity, administrative treatment, education promotion, proceed method were used. Consequentially, the satisfaction level(3.02 point) of the supplementary education were confirmed as normal level. And the problems(3.18 point) of the supplementary education was analyzed a little higher. The supplementary education is the mandatory education that any health and medical service personnel must complete every three years for license re-issuance. There were many opinions that the supplementary education for radiologists working in various medical institutions did not meet the education level of radiologists working in the medical clinics. In order to improve the satisfaction of the supplementary education of medical clinic's radiological technologist, it should be improved the quality of education through a practical education program that reflects various opinions and improvements on conservative education.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationship between job satisfaction levels felt during ultrasound examination of radiological technologists (RTs) using a structural equation model. The subjects were a total of 203 RTs currently working in medical institutions. The method was conducted as a survey study using a questionnaire consisting of a total of 29 questions consisting of demographic characteristics and job satisfaction levels that were self-efficacy, job competency, extrinsic compensation, and job satisfaction. The reliability was secured with the Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.6 or higher. For statistical analysis, a significant difference between the frequency analysis of demographic characteristics and the mean of the job satisfaction levels were performed by independent sample T-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Scheffe's post hoc test. The correlation analysis between variables was tested with Spearman's and Pearson's correlation coefficient. We analyzed the structural relationships between variables by structural equations. As a result, first, job competency and extrinsic compensation had a positive effect on job satisfaction on ultrasound examination of RTs. Second, the self-efficacy of ultrasound examination RTs showed a high correlation with job competency. Third, the job satisfaction levels showed in the order of job competency, job satisfaction, self-efficacy, and extrinsic compensation. In conclusion, this study are expected to be provided as data to identify factors that could improve job satisfaction during ultrasound examination of RTs by empirically analyzing the structural relationship of self-efficacy, job competency, and external compensation.
The purpose of this study was to compare the demographic and job characteristics and job satisfaction of sonographers (SONO) and radiological technologists (RT). The subjects were a total of 148 people (69 SONO, 79 RT), who had been working in clinical and hospitals. The method was conducted using a questionnaire with a total of 54 questions consisting of demographic characteristics, job characteristics, and job satisfaction. Reliability was secured with Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.6 or higher for the response of the questionnaire. For statistical analysis, descriptive statistics, cross-analysis, independent sample T-test, and correlation analysis using Pearson's correlation coefficient and Spearman's correlation coefficient were performed for each occupation. As a result, first, the SONO had more female workers than RT. They are more than three times as many in graduate school and above. Second, the SONO had 4.5 times more morning shift than the RT and no form of weekend shift. Third, the average monthly salary of the SONO is higher than that of the RT, but when a certain portion of the salary goes up, the salary no longer goes up. Fourth, satisfaction with expectations, growth desire, positive mentality, growth opportunity, job importance, organizational attachment was higher SONO than the RT, but self-efficacy was higher in RT than SONO. Last, SONO had higher educational background than RT. It is hoped that the results of this study will be able to understand the job characteristics of SONO and RT and identify the factors of job satisfaction and provide them as fundamental materials for job selection.
The existing studies of VDT syndrome have been researched only about for nurse groups without radiological technologists. The target of this study was workers who perform VDT task in general hospital placed in Daejun City such as insurance judgement, patient affairs, medical record management, medical computing service, hospital administration, and radiological sections. This study was conducted at October 15, 2009 to November 2, 2009 using structured questionnaire. Results of group A (age 20-29, less than 5 years experience at clinical site, normal staff, and unmarried group) showed significant skin and psychological conditions among recognition symptoms of VDT syndrome. Group B (age 30-39, 6-10 years experience at clinical site, managing staff, and married group) tends to be similar at orbital, whole body and muscles' frame response among recognition symptoms of VDT syndrome. Results of "Multiple Linear Regression" with dependent variable that is scores of recognition symptoms of VDT syndrome are as follows. The factors which influences for orbital-related problem is gender, health cares and obstacles during daily life. The factors which influences for whole body-related is exercise, stress and recognition for health condition and the factors which influences muscles' frame-related is 6-10 years experience at clinical site, human relationship, health cares and obstacles during daily life. These are proved to be similar by statistic analysis. There is small difference at recognition symptom of VDT syndrome between the radiological technologist and other groups in general hospital. Yet, as the working circumstance of radiological technologist gradually changes to VDT environment, the recognition symptom of VDT syndrome became conscious. This can be prevented by regular job rotation, which will escape the continuous repetition of working pattern.
