To accommodate today's higher education student, fewer textbooks are printed and more are becoming digital. Keeping with the modern era, hybrid versions of textbooks have all end-of-chapter assessment content moved to digital learning systems such as MindTap$^{TM}$ by Cengage $Learning^{(R)}$. In this work, we introduce new pedagogical strategies to combat academic e-cheating, specifically cheating on assessments given in online astronomy courses. The strategies we present in this work are employed in Horizons: Exploring the Universe, Hybrid, 13th Edition, and Universe, Hybrid, 8th Edition, by Seeds, Backman, and Montgomery.

Evolutionary epistemologist says that the growth of human knowledge involves nonjustificational process. I, however, argue that evolutionary espistemology also can involove justificational process with respect to pragmatic norm.Furthermore, epistemology can be naturalized without loosing the normative elements.

As for the practical purpose of mathematics education, the extrinsic purpose is emphasized. As an alternative to this, a discussion on mathematics education as a character education is urgently requested. It can be said that the main purpose of learning mathematics is to have a form of life that values the form and structure of mathematics. The epistemological basis of such an idea can be seen as based on Kant's philosophy. Kant's epistemology can provide one answer to the question of the intrinsic purpose of mathematics education.

The purpose of this paper is to diagnose the problems of the revision process of the curriculum, and identify the issues in relation to the 7th mathematics curriculum. From the review on the curriculum revision process in Korea, three issues were identified; timing and scale of curriculum revision, research and curriculum revision, and the relationship between the revision of the overall curriculum and that of a subject curriculum. Regarding the mathematics curriculum, the three issues were raised for further discussion; lack of philosophy behind the mathematics curriculum, optimization of mathematics educational content, and differentiated curricula for students of different abilities.

This paper examines Leibniz as a PCB in his life and learning, and how his metaphysics, the pre-established harmony, enabled him to be a PCB.

Taijiquan is possible for us to use not only as a martial art, but also as a physical exercise and a way to discipline human mind, and so it is called 'moving-Zen' and is a martial art to discipline human body and mind against different diseases and stress of modern adult people caused by our modern advanced civilization. We can look at natural passion as one of the most fundamental categories in Philosophy as a minimum material unit comprising all nature. Taijiquan is an exercise with natural passion, flowing through all the body, leading the natural passion with our mind, and moving our body with the natural energy. Also, all the motions in Taijiquan were made based on Yin and Yang. Taijiquan is a discipling way to reach Taegeuk through Yin and Yang and to train ourselves together. The realization of Taegeuk is to reach Taegeuk through the discipline of Taegeuk and can lead to Taegeuk through the unification of the inside and the outside(內外合一), the mutually complementing(剛柔相濟), the circling of the heavenly body(周天) of Taijiquan. The strength and the weakness help each other, the mind and the body is unified, the mixture of the rapidness and the slowness is appropriate, the form and the consciousness are combined into one and move, naturally unified into one(形意結合), and progressive and regressive Junsakyung are combined and move, naturally forming Turoh(套路) where Yin and Yang are unified. The discipline of Taijiquan is not only for maintaining our health, but also for leading to Taegeuk, an ultimate entity, which had existed before the day when all things were generated as its essence and has existed since then.

Concentrating on the birth, life, and death of the Living Theatre, almost half a century avant-garde group, the primary purpose of this study at large is to explore its counter-cultural philosophy. While taking a chronological form adapting the biological order, the paper focuses on the troupe's productions: , , , , and . Through out these productions the philosophy of the Living Theatre seemed to included communal, anti-intellectual, politically radical, generally Utopian, and proselytizers for sexual freedom. The history of the Living Theatre interestingly parallels the history of the Beck's theatre in occupation and shut down. The first New York theatre was closed by fire inspectors for instance. The second theatre was declared unsafe, and locked up by the Building Department. The third theatre was seized by the IRS, consequently shut down. In 1984, after more than 25years from the third building, the Living Theatre settled once again on East Third Street in Manhattan. The theatre was however evacuated by the New York City Fire Department in 1993 and once more took to the road. With these struggles, the Becks' profound aspiration of the counter-cultural insurgency came to harden as strong as 'iron' in some ways. With the outstanding components of counter-cultural philosophy and style, the Living Theatre, in the course of the transformation, absorbed and then reflected virtually every phase for the Living Theatre were vehicles for more than just aesthetics. The group seemed to propagandize its beliefs rather performing productions. Accordingly, both on and off-stage action of the Living Theatre caused great controversy either through political activism of individual members or through the unconventional collective life style. No avant-garde theatre company was more emblematic of the rebellious spirit of the sixties than the Living Theatre. Like the first great transformation, the Becks' encounter, their personal values and the form of theatre they created had blended 'so inextricably that the vitality of each was dependent on the other.' The Becks always urged unity and harmony at all levels of human life, but not at any price. The anticapitalist ideal inspired the Becks to promote a politically motivated campaign throughout their productions. They believed the revolution is desirable but in the state of non-violence and the expansion of human consciousness. Julian Beck's gravestone identifies his as pet, painter, actor, and anarchist. The Living Theatre was a 'small umbrella' under which the Becks and its members could breath and unfold their dream on stage or in the street.

This study highlights the theme of human error emerging as a critical issue in the railroad industry, conducting exploratory research on the effects of health, cognition, and safety climates on safety behavior and accidents using an empirical method. The statistical results based on questionnaires received from 204 train drivers indicate that psychological fatigue, cognitive failure, and internal locus of control as individual variables and CEO philosophy and behavior of immediate boss as organizational variables have significant relationships with safety behavior, while cognitive failure, CEO philosophy, behavior of immediate boss, and education were found to be significant variables with respect to accidents. Furthermore, unsafe behavior such as mistakes and violations showed negative effects on near misses and responsibility accidents, respectively. Based on these results, effective alternatives and countermeasures needed to mitigate human error were posited.

This study aims to provide some rosie material for the libraries to improve its role for supporting the virtual university by recognizing the changing roles to have to support the distance education which is becoming a growing area in the coming new century due to the necessity of continuing renewal and the retaining of the information related workers. Through the study, a few conclusions were derived. (1) To support the virtual university, the library services should be directed toward the operation of the full access - philosophy and should reflect the information needs of the off-campus students. The librarians should be equipped with the ability to make use of networked resources and to provide the document delivery services together with the ability to develop the web-based user training programs. The department of library and Information Science should educate the future librarian for the purpose of supporting the virtual university. (2) A written and agreed guidelines should be established to specify the philosophy, management, facilities, resources and services to support the virtual university. And it is desirable that in the near future the department and a librarian responsible for the supporting the distance education should be established.
