This study is designed to conduct a questionnaire research into the safety control and the actual condition of radiography by working with dentistry belonging to university hospitals, dental hospitals and dental clinics for three months ranging from August, 2003 to October, 2003. The researcher came to the following conclusions. 1. The research on the current condition of possessed radiational equipment shows that 61.2 percent of the subjects had one intraoral radiation medicine and that 70.1 percent of the subjects had more than one extraoral radiation medicine and that 37.3 percent of the subjects had more than one digital radiation medicine. 2. Most of intraoral radiography (82.1%) was conducted by dental hygienists, and 7.5 percent of intraoral radiography was conducted by nurse aids. On the other hand, most of extraoral radiography (76.6%) was conducted by dental hygienists and digital radiography was conducted by dental hygienists(60.6%), dentists(32.0%) and radiographer(80.0%). 3. The less-than 1-meter-long distance between cone and the radiographer accounted for 44.8 percent. And the more-than 1.6-meter-long distance accounted for no more than 13.4 percent. The exposure time per standard film which was adjusted to each part accounted for 71.6 percent. Fixing the film on the part of healthy patients accounted for 76.1 percent. Fixing the film of elderly patients and children patients by the radiographer accounted for 43.3 percent. 4. The average daily photographing frequency of standard films stood at six to ten pieces(31.3%), and the average weekly photographing frequency of bitewing films stood at less than one piece(47.8%), and the dentistries where bitewing films were not employed accounted for 25.4%. The subjects whose average weekly photographing freqeuncy of occlusal films stood at less than a piece accounted for 59.7 percent. The dentistries whose average weekly photographing frequency of pediatric films stood at one to five pieces accounted for 41.8 percent. In case of panorama & cephalo, one to five pieces on a weekly average accounted for 36.2 percent. The dentistries whose average daily photographing frequency of digital radiation medicine stood at less than 1 piece accounted for 40.0 percent. 5. The research on the use of protective clothes shows that pregnant ·women only accounted for 31.3 percent. In regard to the use of protective clothes in case of the radiographers fixing films, the cases where no protective clothes were employed accounted for 88.1 percent. The reason was said to he attributable to the trouble related to wearing the clothes(54.2%). 6. The survey on the measurement of exposure dose shows that the cases where no measurement was made accounted for 76.1 percent. As far as the measurement methods of exposure dose was concerned, the employment of film badge accounted for 68.8 percent. The subjects turned out to conduct measurement of exposure dose every third month, which accounted for 43.8 percent. The barriers to the measurement of measurement of exposure dose were attributable to the recognition that a little amount of exposure dose need not be measured(29.9%). 7. The survey on the distinction of radiation rooms and clinic rooms reveals that the cases where radiation rooms exclusively existed accounted for 67.2 percent. 43.3 percent of the subjects turned out to have only one protective garment, and 49.3 percent of the subjects proved to conduct a periodical checkup of radiational equipment. The survey on the examination certificates of radiational generators and protective facilities indicates that 80.6 percent of the subjects had the certificates. The research also shows that the subjects with the marks indicating the radiational areas accounted for 70.1 percent. And trustees turned out to handle developing solutions and fixing solutions.
The purpose of this study was to work related musculoskeletal disorders are a major. Occupational disease of the dental care profession is no exception. The survey was self-reported questionars of 300 dental hygienists that 268 dental hygienists reply to self-reported survey. This study results are as follows: Subjects of research analyzing the degree of physical musculoskeletal disorders pain, shoulder 90.3%, neck 89.2%, leg 83.6%, 81.7% back, hand/wrist/fingers 75.7%, arm/elbow, according to 52.8%. Therefore the work province of the research object people the musculoskeletal disorders appeared different. Generally characteristic was taller dental hygienists lower back pain and were out of less weight, study subjects had neck and arm pain. 29~33 year-old age the shoulder, over the age of 34 the arm/elbow to be high (p<0.05). Working environment to become a career, the more hand/wrist/fingers and the pain increased (p<0.05). The neck, shoulders (p<0.05), arm (p<0.01), waist high in the 3~4 years experience. And leg/foot was in the 1~2 years experience. This increase in working hours had increased pain in the neck but the hand/wrist/finger pain in the small hours of experience in the high pain(p<0.01). Conclusion of the musculoskeletal disorders of the dental hygienists often than the average for this risk is recognized. When it occurs early in treatment can be simple, but time is left to revert to normal when you do not already. Therefore, maintaining proper posture and dental hygienists, pain or fatigue appeared to accumulate immediately treated continued efforts are needed.

Stainless steels and titanium alloys are widely used in the medical industry as replacement materials. These materials may be affected by the conditions and type of environment. In the same manner, soft drinks are widely consumed products. It is of interest for dental industry to know the behavior of medical-grade alloys when these are in contact with soft drinks, since any excessive ion release can suppose a risk for human health. In the present study, the electrochemical behavior of three stainless steel alloys and pure titanium was analyzed using three types of cola soft drinks as electrolyte. The objective of this study was to evaluate the response of these metallic materials in each type of solution (cola standard, light and zero). Different electrochemical techniques were used for the evaluation of the alloys, namely potentiodynamic polarization, linear polarization, and open-circuit potential measurements. The corrosion resistance of the stainless-steel alloys and titanium in the cola soft drinks was provided by the formation of a stable passive film formed by metal oxides. Scanning electron microscopy was used as a complementary technique to reveal corrosion phenomena at the surface of the materials evaluated.

Clinically, the fit of fixed prosthesis is an essential element for successful restoration. The fit of prosthesis is largely classified into marginal fit and internal fit, and various methods to assess these have been introduced including microscopic margin measurement, cross-sectional measurement, silicone replica technique, 3-dimensional scanning data superposition, weight technique and micro CT scanning. Thus, this study is aimed at proposing a more convenient and accurate measurement method of fits in a digital environment by comparatively analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of each known method based on existing literature.
Hertzian cyclic fatigue properties of the alumina-glass dental ceramics were evaluated in exact in vitro environment at contact loads from 200 N to 1000 N and up to 10$\^$6/ cycles to investigate the indentation damage and strength degradation. At 200 N, no strength degradation and crack generation was observed up to 10$\^$6/ contact cycles. As load increased from 200 N to 1000 N, the drastic reduction in strength was found when the damage transition from ring to radial crack occurred. The extent of strength degradation was more pronounced in vitro environments probably due to chemical reaction of artificial saliva with glass phase through radial cracks introduced during large numbers of contacts.

Ti and Ti alloys are important materials for medical and dental applications. The effect of equal channel angular process(ECAP) and addition of Fe in Ti were studied with optical microstructure and corrosion behavior. Fine grains in Ti was obtained after ECAP. Corrosion behavior of commercial pure(CP)-Ti and Ti alloys was studied by open circuit test and polarization curve test(PCT) at $36.5^{\circ}C$ with SBF in biological environment. The corrosion behavior of ECAP-Ti was similar to that of CP-Ti in PCT, but Ti-Fe alloys were observed to become more corrosive with increasing Fe content.
To observe the difference of the special liquid influencing to the fitness of casting body among the many elements influencing to the die fitness of the casting body, we fit L/P ratio each investment, using two kinds of phosphate bonded investment, divided the density of the special liquid by 5 groups(Density 100, 75, 50, 25, 0), made 10 copying per each group and experiment 10 groups, totally 100 copying and finally we could get the result as following ; 1) In such a case of CB-30, the casting fitness of the density 100 of special liquid, group 6, was the best and in order of the density 75, 50, 25, 0 the fitness is better. 2) In such of Denti-vest, the fitness of the density 100 of the special liquid, group 1, was the best and in order of the density 75, 50, 25, 0 the fitness is better. 3) Therefore we should change the density according to the transformation of the environment as investing because of increasing the expansion of phosphate bonded investment, as increasing the density of the special liquid.
The requirements of orthodontic wire should include chemical stability, non-discoloration and non-corrosion in oral environment. Ability to be soldered, ease of fabrication and elasticity should be also considered. The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the physical properties of Tru-chrome wire and manufactured E.S.S. (Experimental Stainless Steel) wire similar to Tru-chrome. The results were as follows: 1. Tru-chrome wire and E.S.S. wire were SUS 304 which was 18 Cr-8Ni austenite stainless steel. There was not significant difference in each composition between two wires. 2. There were not significant differences in ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and modulus of elasticity between Tru-chrome and E.S.S. wires. 3. There was not significant difference between flexuree modulus of elasticity of Tru-chrome and E.S.S. wires. 4. Micro-hardness value of E.S.S. wire was more than that of Tru-chrome wire and they were softened significantly by solution heat reatment. 5. Micro-structure of Tru-chrome and E.S.S. wires showed fibrous interlocking grains, and an austenite structure after solution heat treatment. 6. There was significant difference between corrosion rate of Tru-chrome and E.S.S. wires.

Successful treatment in the anterior esthetic prosthetic can be a balance between aesthetics in the facial, tooth, and periodontal tissue in the oral. In the case of facial symmetry of patients with normal occlusal plane, If you establish criteria of finding balance of aesthetics such as a several books and articles and manufacture a prostheses by the established-criteria, you can manufacture a harmonious and aesthetic prostheses without any trouble. However, in the case of patients with facial asymmetry, if you manufacture a tooth as patient's facial aesthetic symmetry by force even facial asymmetry case, you can't get a result not only aesthetic but also functional prostheses. Also, to produce the prosthetic of harmonious and aesthetic with periodontal tissue, and excellent self-cleansing function, you must apply to the form of the prosthetic changed dental environment.
