Unity Engine-based Underwater Robot 3D Positioning Program Implementation (Unity Engine 기반 수중 로봇 3차원 포지셔닝 프로그램 구현)

  • A number of studies related to underwater robots are being conducted to utilize marine resources. However, unlike ordinary drones, underwater robots have a problem that it is not easy to locate because the medium is water, not air. The monitoring and positioning program of underwater robots, an existing study for identifying underwater locations, has difficulty in locating and monitoring in small spaces because it aims to be utilized in large spaces. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a three-dimensional positioning program for continuous monitoring and command delivery in small spaces. The proposed program consists of a multi-dimensional positioning monitoring function and a ability to control the path of travel through a three-dimensional screen so that the depth of the underwater robot can be identified. Through the performance evaluation, a robot underwater could be monitored and verified from various angles with a 3D screen, and an error within the assumed range was verified as the difference between the set path and the actual position is within 6.44 m on average.

  • The socio-cultural and economic changes following the Fourth Revolution are driving the growth of the food tech industry. Korea's food tech industry is still focused on delivery apps and the smart farms, robot market including artificial intelligence are in its infancy. In the United States, alternative meat companies are already included in unicorn companies, while Korea, the fourth largest importer of beef, lacks alternative meat development. France, Europe's largest agricultural country, is focusing on Agtech. China has developed the Internet and online e-commerce market with the world's number one population. Korea also needs to change regulations that focus on the past industry and various food tech industries should be developed through political and business-driven research and investment.

  • Ontology specifies the knowledge in a specific domain and defines the concepts of knowledge and the relationships between concepts. It is possible to provide the service based on the semantic web through the ontology. Therefore, to specify and define the knowledge in a specific domain, it is required to generate the ontology which conceptualizes the knowledge. Accordingly, to search the information of potential customers for home-delivery marketing of post office, we design the specific domain to generate the ontology based on the semantic web in this paper. And we propose how to retrieve the information, using the generated ontology. We implement the data search robot which collects the information based on the generated ontology. Also, we confirm that the ontology and the search robot perform the information retrieval exactly.

  • This paper presents implementation details of home appliance control system using personal communicator based on LN2440 single board computer, which recognizes hand-gesture of user, controls remote moving device such as mobile home server, robot etc. through delivery of proper control commands. Also, this paper includes details of design and implementation of home gateway and mobile home server. The implemented prototype can be utilized to develop various remote control system including a remote exploration robot, intelligent wheelchair based on general purpose embedded system.

Implementation of Camera-Based Autonomous Driving Vehicle for Indoor Delivery using SLAM (SLAM을 이용한 카메라 기반의 실내 배송용 자율주행 차량 구현)

  • In this paper, we proposed an autonomous vehicle platform that delivers goods to a designated destination based on the SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) map generated indoors by applying the Visual SLAM technology. To generate a SLAM map indoors, a depth camera for SLAM map generation was installed on the top of a small autonomous vehicle platform, and a tracking camera was installed for accurate location estimation in the SLAM map. In addition, a convolutional neural network (CNN) was used to recognize the label of the destination, and the driving algorithm was applied to accurately arrive at the destination. A prototype of an indoor delivery autonomous vehicle was manufactured, and the accuracy of the SLAM map was verified and a destination label recognition experiment was performed through CNN. As a result, the suitability of the autonomous driving vehicle implemented by increasing the label recognition success rate for indoor delivery purposes was verified.

  • The objective on this project is to develop a cooperative Field Robot (FR), by using a customize Open Control Platform (OCP) as design and development process. An OCP is a CORBA-based solution for networked control system, which facilitates the transitioning of control designs to embedded targets. In order to achieve the cooperation surveillance system, two FRs are distributed by navigation messages (GPS and sensor data) using CORBA event-channel communication, while graphical information from IR night vision camera is distributed using CORBA Asynchronous Method Invocation (AMI). The QoS features of AMI in the network are to provide the additional delivery method for distributing an IR camera Images will be evaluate in this experiment. In this paper also presents an empirical performance evaluation from the variable chunk sizes were compared with the number of clients and message latency, some of the measurement data's are summarized in the following paragraph. In the AMI buffers size measurement, when the chuck sizes were change, the message latency is significantly change according to it frame size. The smaller frame size between 256 bytes to 512 bytes is more efficient fur the message size below 2Mbytes, but it average performance in the large of message size a bigger frame size is more efficient. For the several destination, the same experiment using 512 bytes to 2 Mbytes frame with 2 to 5 destinations are presented. For the message size bigger than 2Mbytes, the AMI are still able to meet requirement far more than 5 clients simultaneously.

Landscape Design for Masan Robot Land (마산로봇랜드 조경설계)

  • A theme park is not just a recreational space for leisure activities, but also a place of storytelling as collected around abstract boundaries called themes. These stories are 'a space that tells the meaning' that the visitor is looking for and the Robot Land space offers robots, humans, and nature. This study is a description of the design strategy and content of the work which was elected as a subject of the subsequent rank negotiation of the Masan Robot Land design contest for the selection of a private contractor. The focus of the plan is, first, the organizational power of each space and the delivery power of a theme for the history of revisits, which might be considered depending on whether or not the theme park has been successful in the visitor's mind. Second, it is to actively use the potential of Masan, which is not only the key hub of the mechanical industry but also has beautiful coastal resources. First, they created a space that can flexibly react depending on the user's desire and the change of form, minimizing environmental damage by using a linear metabolism that can provide an amalgam of the elemental characteristics of robots, humans, and nature as motifs. They introduced a planting plan for the admissions square, an existing forest, slope, vacation spot, the inside of a complex, and Eco Island, etc. by utilizing symbolic meaning and adjusting to the spatial characteristics of each space. In addition, they sought a detailed space by setting up zones tailored to the use and character of the subject area, having exhibitions and education about robots, vacation facilities for lodgers, various recreational and commercial facilities, and space for utopian gardens as themes. They planned Masan Robot Land to be a true cultural space that creates mental richness on the basis of not only the economical effects but also local emotion.

  • Because the current web search engine estimates the similarity of documents, using the frequency of words, many documents irrespective of the user query are provided. To solve these kinds of problems, the semantic web is appearing as a future web. It is possible to provide the service based on the semantic web through ontology which specifies the knowledge in a special domain and defines the concepts of knowledge and the relationships between concepts. In this paper to search the information of potential customers for home-delivery marketing, we model the specific domain for generating the ontology. And we research how to retrieve the information, using the ontology. Therefore, in this paper, we generate the ontology to define the domain about potential customers and develop the search robot which collects the information of customers.

  • 영상 압축 기술의 발전과 인터넷의 보급으로 사람들은 언제 어디서나 고화질의 미디어를 쉽게 접할 수 있게 되었다. 또한 미디어 플레이어에서 문자열의 출력을 지원함으로써 사용자들은 쉽게 영상의 자막을 만들고 볼 수 있는 환경이 만들어졌다. 그러나 문자는 번역을 위한 역할만 할 뿐 미디어에서 나타내고자 하는 감성을 전달하는 역할은 하지 못한다. 본 연구에서는 애니메이션 캐릭터와 콘텐츠 로봇을 사용하는 새로운 의미전달 기술을 적용한 감성형 콘텐츠 서비스를 제안한다. 제안하는 기술은 동기화 시나리오를 구성하여 미디어가 재생되는 동안 애니메이션 캐릭터 데이터를 제공하며, 또 다른 출력장치인 로봇과 동기화되어 상황에 따른 로봇의 움직임을 통해 시청자에게 내용 전달의 효과와 함께 감성 전달의 효율을 증대시켜주는 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 감성형 콘텐츠를 제작한 후 시현을 통해 감성 전달의 효율이 높아짐을 확인하였다.

  • In manufacturing sites that process and produce parts in large quantities for the automotive and electronics industries, users require the reducing of costs and shortened delivery times. To meet these demands, an increase in the number of processes and an decrease in assembly times need to be addressed. Gantry loaders currently on the market in Korea are mostly used for processing lightweight and simple shapes and are not suitable for conveying and processing complex shapes such as automobile engines and aircraft parts. This makes it difficult to mount the material in place. This study aims to smoothen the transportation of complex shapes through the development of jigs and various approaches in the installation of the feed shaft by researching the gantry loader system for transporting multiple materials with complex shapes.
