  • In order to analyze the influence of career self-efficacy on risk taking level in university students, career self-efficacy which becomes the basis of active occupational exploration was classified into four items including self evaluation, goal setting, occupational information and problem solving. Risk taking level was divided into three items of occupational selection, monetary management and human relation. 450 surveys were distributed to four-year university students in Seoul, capital area and rural area for three weeks from November 26 until December 17, 2011, among which 402 surveys were accepted as effective study subjects. Among items of career self-efficacy, most significant influence on self evaluation was shown in group with high risk taking level in monetary management, and problem solving had most significant influence in groups with high risk taking level in occupational selection and human relation. As a result, occupational information was found to have negative (-) influence on all items of risk taking level, with increasing degree of influence on occupational information for subjects showing lower degree of risk taking level. This study provides detailed analysis on individual's work task called risk taking level based on different occupational types, offering new verification of career self-efficacy as the most fundamental element of occupational exploration to university students looking for employment.

  • Recently, a new foundation model called "Dynamic foundation model" was proposed for the dynamic analysis of structures on the foundation. This model includes a linear elastic spring, shear layer, viscous damping and the special effects of mass density parameter of foundation during vibration. However, the relationship of foundation property parameters with the experimental parameter of the influence of foundation mass also has not been established in previous research. Hence, the purpose of the paper presents a simple experimental model in order to establish relationships between foundation properties such as stiffness, depth of foundation and experimental parameter of the influence of foundation mass. The simple experimental model is described by a steel plate connected with solid rubber layer as a single degree of freedom system including an elastic spring connected with lumped mass. Based on natural circular frequencies of the experimental models determined from FFT analysis plots of the time history of acceleration data, the experimental parameter of the influence of foundation mass is obtained and the above relationships are also discussed.

  • Following the climate-related disasters considered by several efforts, the nuclear capacity needs to double by 2050 compared to 2015. So, it is reasonable to investigate global warming incorporated with the fuzzy set theory for nuclear energy consumption in the aspect of fuzziness and nonlinearity of temperature variations. The complex modeling is proposed for the enhanced assessment of climate change where simulations indicate the degree of influence with the Boolean values between 0.0 and 1.0 in the designed variables. In the case of OIL, there are many 1.0 values between 20th and 60th months in the simulations where there are 10 times more for a 1.0 value in influence. Hence, the temperature variable can give the effective time using this study for 100 months. In the analysis, the 1.0 value in NUCLEAR means the highest influence of the modeling as the temperature increases resulting in global warming. In detail, the first influence happens near the 8th month and then there are four times more influences than effects in the early part of the temperature mitigation. Eventually, in the GLOBAL WARMING, the highest peak is around the 20th month, and then it is stabilized.

  • The purpose of this study was to grasp the factors having influence upon the social adjustment of children in multi-cultural families and to examine the degree of influence of these influential factors. For these aims, it targeted 186 children of multi-cultural families, that access social welfare institutions or multi-cultural institutions in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas. The findings are as follows. First, the factors having influence upon the social adjustment of children in multi-cultural families were indicated to be self-esteem, parental marital relations, bullying, and the support of adults other than their parents. In other words, these children's higher level of social adjustment was correlated with higher self-esteem, better parental marital relations, fewer bullying experiences from their peer group, and more support from adults other than their parents'. Secondly, support from adults other than parents was indicated to be the most influential among the variables affecting the social adjustment of children in multi-cultural families. The factor having the second highest level of influence was indicated to be self-esteem, followed by parental marital relations, and then bullying.

  • The purpose of the present study was to identify the effects of communicator, type of clothing and subject's age on informational influence in clothing conformity. The sample consisted of 205 subjects assigned to two groups (female college students in their early twenties and housewives in their late thirties living in kyongju). In this study the research design consisted of a 3(communicator)×2(subject's age)×2(type of clothing) factorial design. The stimuli consisted of 10 color photographs (6 one-piece dresses and 4 jeans in current fashion) In the first step, subjects were asked to arrange stimuli in the order of greatest fashionability. In the second step, subjects were exposed to experimental manipulation which consisted of slides of various clothing styles and an essay concerning a forecast on fashion trends. The communicator in the essay was described as a designer, a college student, or a housewife. In the third step, in addition to other questions subjects were asked to indicated their degree of agreement with the essay. The data were analyzed by ANOVA, X2 and t-test. The results were: 1. Informational influence on clothing conformity varied by communicator, type of clothing, and subject's age. Subjects were most conforming when the communicator was described as a designer and when the clothing style was a one-piece dress. 2. Informational influence results revealed that housewives were more conforming than the female college students in the jean style.
