  • Stockigt sizing test, which is readily affected by individual tester's bias as well as testing conditions in recognizing red coloration, had to be modified to improve its reliability and reproducibility. The novel testing system with the automatic recognizing program of red coloration was developed with the auxiliary equipments including an automatic liquid dispenser and a specimen shifter. The analysis program used a hue value of a droplet image in recognizing a point of time on red coloration instead of RGB values that are not similar to human perception of color. Hue was more sensitive in recognizing the red coloration of a droplet than the other two factors, Saturation and Value. During the test, the program records the time consumed up to a specific hue value of a droplet on a specimen. Differently from the conventional test, the automatic test could obtain a reliable and reproducible sizing degree with a minor error. Furthermore, the Stockigt sizing degree measured by the automatic system showed great correlations with contact angle and Hercules sizing degree. It means that such great correlations will contribute to the development of an integrated measuring system capable of predicting contact angle, surface tension, surface energy and Hercules sizing degree of paper and paperboards through the Stbckigt sizing test. It was meaningful to note that the automatic system for Stbckigt sizing test might be able to used to predict contact angle, Hercules and Cobb sizing degree, based upon the high correlation coefficients.

The influence of age on lip-line cant in adults: a cross-sectional study

  • Objective: The aims of this study were to assess the direction and degree of lip-line cant in Korean adult orthodontic patients and to identify the effects of sex and age on changes in the cant severity. Methods: In this cross-sectional retrospective study, lip-line cant was measured in the frontal photographs of 585 Korean patients (92 men and 493 women) aged 18-48 years. The outcome variables (direction and degree of lip-line cant) were assessed in terms of predictor variables (sex, age, sagittal skeletal relationship, and menton deviation angle). Results: The direction of lip-line cant did not differ according to sex, age, or skeletal classification. Patients had $1.6^{\circ}$ of lip-line cant on average before orthodontic treatment. Middle-aged adults displayed a significant trend toward a lower degree of lip-line cant compared to younger adults (p < 0.01). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the degree of lip-line cant was weakly negatively correlated with age (p < 0.001). Conclusions: While the direction of lip-line cant did not differ according to the parameters explored here, the degree of cant was correlated with age in adults, independent of menton deviation. Specifically, middle-aged adults tended to display significantly lower degrees of lip-line cant than did younger adults.

영화 타이틀시퀀스 제작을 위한 물질성 (Materiality for Producing the Title Sequence of Film)

  • 타이틀시퀀스에서 활용된 물질은 영화의 스타일과 내용을 포괄적으로 내포하고 있다. 그러므로 어떤 물질을 선택하는가에 따라 정서적 표현의 효과가 달라질 수 있다. 이에 따라 최근 20년간의 영화 타이틀시퀀스 42편을 수집하여 소재를 분류하고 기호학사각형을 이용해 물질의 범주를 정의하였다. 물질도의 강약을 검증하기 위해 설문하여 3단계의 물질도를 구분하고 영화의 장르에 따라 어떤 범주의 물질성이 활용되었는지 조사하였다. 분석 결과 물질성은 장르의 구분 없이 내용에 따라 선택되었으나 물질도의 차이는 있었다. 강한 물질도는 스릴러와 SF.미스테리 장르에서 사용되었고, 중간 물질도는 전반적으로 활용되나 특히 드라마 장르와 액션에서 활용되었다. 약한 물질도 또한 다양한 장르에서 활용되었으나 특히 공포, SF 미스테리 장르에서 활용되었다. 본 논문은 영화를 상징적으로 시각화하는 타이틀시퀀스 제작에 있어 물질의 선택에 의한 표현 방법 연구를 제안하였다는데 의의가 있다.

식품영양표시에 대한 부산지역 성인여성의 인식, 만족도 및 이용실태 (Awareness, Satisfaction, and Usage Patterns of Female-Consumers for Food-Nutrition Labeling in Busan)

  • This study was conducted to compare the awareness, satisfaction, and usage patterns of female-consumers for food-nutrition labeling in Busan. The survey was conducted from April 15 to June 10, 2018 by questionnaire. Degree of perception of food-nutrition labeling was higher among individuals in their 30s, 40s and 50s than those in their 20s, 60s and 70s. The score of verification degree was highest among respondents in their 40s and lowest among those in their 20s and 70s. Degree of demand of individuals in their 70s was lower than that of those in their 60s. Degree of reliability of individuals in their 30s, 40s and 50s was higher than that of those in their 20s, 60s, 70s. Satisfaction degree did not differ significantly among groups. Overall the most common reason to review food labeling was 'to confirm expiry date' (30.8%). Among those in their 20s, the main reason for reviewing nutrition labeling was 'weight control', while it was 'nutrients' among those in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s, and 'health improvement' among those in their 70s. Additionally, 51.3% of the subjects reported that the major reason for difficulty understanding the labeling was 'small letter, various form'. The demand for nutrient contents was highest in sodium. Age was negatively correlated with perception of food-nutrition labeling, demand, need for education and publicity, and nutrition knowledge (P<0.01), whereas it was positively correlated with dietary attitude (P<0.01). There was a strong correlation between demand for food-nutrition labeling and the need for education and publicity regarding food-nutrition labeling (r=0.546). Therefore, education materials and improvement plans based on age should be developed and implemented to inspire individuals to choose more nutritious food and develop a healthy dietary life.

거주자의 공동주택관리 업무에 대한 인식과 관리참여 의사 (Residents′ Attitudes toward Multi-Family Housing Management and their Intention to Participate)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the residents' opinions on the degree of importance, and satisfaction with, the managerial service of multi-family housing. Residents' participation in managerial activities was also examined, because residents' opinions should be taken into serious consideration in order to improve the efficiency of housing management. Research methods used in this study were survey, field study, and content analysis of professionals' opinions. Survey data of 520 residents who live in multi-family housing were analyzed by means, frequencies, correlation, chi-square tests, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, post-hoc estimation (Scheffee test), and regression. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, many residents were dissatisfied with the quality of managerial service, but they thought that managerial services were very important. For example, they thought that safety inspection of the playground was very important, yet the current level of service was not satisfactory. Second, the characteristics of residents that determined the degree of residential satisfaction were income the location of the residence, and degree of participation in the community events. Third, the residents generally did not want to participate in the managerial services and community programs through such activities as participation in resident committee. In order to improve the housing management efficiency, residents' participation is critical. Some participants in this study pointed out that the details of management service and future plans need to be made public. New management models need to be developed to promote residents' participation and increase their satisfaction in the management.

수산물에 대한 부산지역 주부의 인식 및 이용실태 (Awareness and Usage Patterns of Housewives in Busan for Consuming Marine Products)

  • We conducted this study to compare the awareness and attitude of Busan housewives about consuming marine products. The survey was conducted from April 10 to May 31, 2019 by using a questionnaire. The degree of preference of seafood was higher among individuals in their 40s than those in the other age groups. Among the women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 70s, the reason for liking seafood was 'taste', and for those in their 60s it was 'nutrition'. Overall the most common reason for disliking seafood was the 'fishy smell (37.4%)'. Conception degree of nutritive value of seafood was higher among individuals in their 30s and 40s than that for those individuals in their 50s, 60s and 70s. As for the price of seafood, the wives over 40s thought seafood was more expensive than did those wives in their 30s. The younger the individuals were, the lower was the perceived degree of safety was 49.8% of the subjects reported that the main concern for purchase was 'freshness'. The perceived degree of safety for imported seafood was better for the wives in their 60s and 70s than that for those wives in their 30s, 40s and 50s. The confidence level for local Korean seafood was higher for the wives in their 60s than that for the wives in their 50s. The degree of preference for seafood was moderate overall, except for Jellyfish. Age was positively correlated with conception for safety and dietary attitude (P<0.01), whereas age was negatively correlated with monthly food expenditure, nutrition knowledge and intake requirements (P<0.01). Preference for seafood was positively correlated with conception for safety (P<0.05), nutrition knowledge (P<0.05), dietary attitude (P<0.01), awareness for nutritive value (P<0.01) and intake requirements (P<0.01). Laws and regulations should be reinforced in order to promote eating more seafood and periodic research to determine the actual amount of consumed seafood and people's preferences should be conducted.

How Does Corporate Social Responsibility Affect Asymmetric Information: Evidence from Korean Retail Industry

  • Purpose - This paper examines how corporate social responsibility of the Korean retail industry affects the degree of asymmetric information. Recent theories predict that a firm's active engagement in socially responsible activities lowers the degree of asymmetric information of the firm. Research design, data, and methodology - This paper uses the sum of environmental and social scores (ES), published by the Korean Corporate Governance Service in order to proxy the degree of socially responsible management practices of Korean retail firms. This paper uses the ordinary least square method to investigate the above predictions. The publicly traded Korea retail firms listed in the Korean Exchange are analyzed from 2011 to 2016. To measure the degree of asymmetric information, this paper adopts the analyst dispersion and price impact measures. Results - This paper shows that the ES score has significantly positive relationships with these two measures of information asymmetry. The environmental score seems to increase the analyst dispersion measure and the social score appears to raise the price impact measure mores significantly. Conclusions - The results do not support the prior theory expecting a negative relationship between corporate social responsibility and the degree of asymmetric information. Environmental and social scores are found to affect the measures of information asymmetry differently.

사회체육활동 참여 제약과 동기 및 정도의 관계 (Relationship between Constraint, Motive and Degree of Participation in Sport for All)

  • 이 연구는 사회체육활동 참가 제약과 동기 및 정도의 관계를 분석하기 위하여 2007년 천안아산지역 거주 만 19세 이상의 사회체육활동 참가자를 모집단으로 선정한 다음 집락무선표집법을 이용하여 총 400명을 표집하였다. 이 연구에서는 설문지의 타당도 및 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 신뢰도분석의 알파값과 공변량구조분석의 최대우도법을 이용하였다. 설문지의 타당도는 외생변수의 경우 .812, 내생변수의 경우 .528이상으로 나타났으며, 설문지의 신뢰도는 Cronbach's ${\alpha}$값이 .657이상으로 나타났다. 자료처리 방법은 신뢰도분석, 확인적 요인분석과 공변량구조분석 등이다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회체육활동 참가 제약 가운데 구조적 제약이 클수록 사회적, 휴식적 동기는 약화된다. 둘째, 사회체육활동 참가 동기 가운데 사회적 동기가 높을수록 참가 빈도는 증가하며, 휴식적 동기가 클수록 참가 기간은 감소한다. 셋째, 사회체육활동 참가 제약 가운데 구조적 제약이 클수록 참가 기간은 감소하며, 개인내적 제약이 클수록 참가 빈도와 강도는 감소한다.

신체 인식도 및 만족도에 따른 패션소재 선호도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preference of Fashion Materials according to the Degree of Consciousness and Satisfaction of Body Cathexis)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the preference of fashion materials according to the degree of consciousness and satisfaction of body. A survey was conducted using the randomly selected 439 woman students in the twenties. The consciousness variable had three levels which were lean, medium, and obese shape for each whole, upper and lower body with self-consciousness. Also, satisfaction variable had three levels which were satisfying, average, and unsatisfying group. We analyzed the data using analysis of correlation, crosstabulation analysis, and analysis of variance including Duncan multiple test. The results were as follows: 1) There was the positive correlation between height, leg, and arm length, and each variable, and the negative correlation between back, hip, thigh, waist, lower leg, ankle, and upper arm, and each variable. Also, we could observe the pattern that the larger the head or the more the weight was, the lower the satisfaction of body was. 2) There were no strong correlation between breast and hand size and each variable. From the crossed classification, we could observe the trend that the smaller the breast was, the lower the satisfaction of body was. 3) There were the strong correlation between whole and upper body in consciousness degree and between whole and lower body in satisfaction. 4) The consciousness of the whole body was shown lean shape 23.4%. medium shape 49.2%, and obese shape 27.2%. For the satisfaction degree of the whole body, satisfaction was shown 6.8%, average 41.7% and unsatisfaction 51.4%, so the satisfaction group is very small. 5) From the analysis for the consciousness degree of the whole body, the preferred fashion materials were polyester and acetate in casual wear, linen, polyester, acryl, T/W, and polyurethan in formal wear, and cotton, nylon, TIC, and T/W in sports wear. There was significant difference in casual wear, formal wear, and sports wear, but, not in underwear and accessories among he consciousness groups. 6) From the analysis for the satisfaction degree of the whole body, the preferred fashion materials were linen, silk, and acetate in casual wear, cotton in underwear, polyurethane in formal wear, and nylon in sports wear. There was the significant difference in casual wear, underwear, formal wear and sports wear, but, not in accessories among the satisfaction groups.

인터넷쇼핑몰 유형별 상호작용성이 만족도와 추천의도에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Internet Shopping Mall Pattern Interactivity on Satisfaction Degree and Recommendation Intention)

  • 본 연구에서는 상호작용성도 인터넷쇼핑몰의 유형에 따라 차이가 있을 것으로 보고, 오픈마켓과 전문몰로 구분하여 상호작용성을 비교 분석하였다. 인터넷쇼핑몰에서 최근 6개월 이내 구매경험이 있는 사람을 연구 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하여 통계분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 인터넷쇼핑몰에서의 상호작용성은 두 가지 차원으로 도출되었으며 쇼핑몰 유형에 따라 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 오픈마켓에서는 '기업 소비자간', '소비자 소비자간'의 상호작용성 모두 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 특히, '기업 소비자간'의 상호작용성이 만족도에 더 높은 영향을 미치고 있었다. 그러나 전문몰에서는 '기업 소비자간' 상호작용성만이 소비자만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 쇼핑몰에 대한 만족도는 향후 추천의도에도 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 기업이 인터넷쇼핑몰 시장에서 상호작용성을 효과적으로 활용하기 위해서는 쇼핑몰의 유형을 고려한 차별화된 전략이 적용되어야 함을 확인할 수 있다.
