Warning Classification Method Based On Artificial Neural Network Using Topics of Source Code (소스코드 주제를 이용한 인공신경망 기반 경고 분류 방법)

  • Automatic Static Analysis Tools help developers to quickly find potential defects in source code with less effort. However, the tools reports a large number of false positive warnings which do not have to fix. In our study, we proposed an artificial neural network-based warning classification method using topic models of source code blocks. We collect revisions for fixing bugs from software change management (SCM) system and extract code blocks modified by developers. In deep learning stage, topic distribution values of the code blocks and the binary data that present the warning removal in the blocks are used as input and target data in an simple artificial neural network, respectively. In our experimental results, our warning classification model based on neural network shows very high performance to predict label of warnings such as true or false positive.

Performance Improvement of Convolutional Neural Network for Pulmonary Nodule Detection (폐 결절 검출을 위한 합성곱 신경망의 성능 개선)

  • Early detection of the pulmonary nodule is important for diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. Recently, CT has been used as a screening tool for lung nodule detection. And, it has been reported that computer aided detection(CAD) systems can improve the accuracy of the radiologist in detection nodules on CT scan. The previous study has been proposed a method using Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) in Lung CAD system. But the proposed model has a limitation in accuracy due to its sparse layer structure. Therefore, we propose a Deep Convolutional Neural Network to overcome this limitation. The model proposed in this work is consist of 14 layers including 8 convolutional layers and 4 fully connected layers. The CNN model is trained and tested with 61,404 regions-of-interest (ROIs) patches of lung image including 39,760 nodules and 21,644 non-nodules extracted from the Lung Image Database Consortium(LIDC) dataset. We could obtain the classification accuracy of 91.79% with the CNN model presented in this work. To prevent overfitting, we trained the model with Augmented Dataset and regularization term in the cost function. With L1, L2 regularization at Training process, we obtained 92.39%, 92.52% of accuracy respectively. And we obtained 93.52% with data augmentation. In conclusion, we could obtain the accuracy of 93.75% with L2 Regularization and Data Augmentation.

  • With the recent World Health Organization (WHO) Declaration of Pandemic for Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19), COVID-19 is a global concern and many deaths continue. To overcome this, there is an increasing need for sharing information between countries and countermeasures related to COVID-19. However, due to linguistic boundaries, smooth exchange and sharing of information has not been achieved. In this paper, we propose a Neural Machine Translation (NMT) model specialized for the COVID-19 domain. Centering on English, a Transformer based bidirectional model was produced for French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, and Chinese. Based on the BLEU score, the experimental results showed significant high performance in all language pairs compared to the commercialization system.

  • In the water sector, various data such as flow rate, pressure, water quality and water level are collected during the whole process of water purification plant and piping system. The collected data is stored in each water treatment plant's DB, and the collected data are combined in the regional DB and finally stored in the database server of the head office of the Korea Water Resources Corporation. Various abnormal data can be generated when a measuring instrument measures data or data is communicated over various processes, and it can be classified into missing data and wrong data. The cause of each abnormal data is different. Therefore, there is a difference in the method of detecting the wrong side and the missing side data, but the method of cleansing the data is the same. In this study, a program that can automatically refine missing or wrong data by applying deep learning LSTM (Long Short Term Memory) algorithm will be studied.

Real-Time License Plate Detection Based on Faster R-CNN (Faster R-CNN 기반의 실시간 번호판 검출)

  • Automatic License Plate Detection (ALPD) is a key technology for a efficient traffic control. It is used to improve work efficiency in many applications such as toll payment systems and parking and traffic management. Until recently, the hand-crafted features made for image processing are used to detect license plates in most studies. It has the advantage in speed. but can degrade the detection rate with respect to various environmental changes. In this paper, we propose a way to utilize a Faster Region based Convolutional Neural Networks (Faster R-CNN) and a Conventional Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), which improves the computational speed and is robust against changed environments. The module based on Faster R-CNN is used to detect license plate candidate regions from images and is followed by the module based on CNN to remove False Positives from the candidates. As a result, we achieved a detection rate of 99.94% from images captured under various environments. In addition, the average operating speed is 80ms/image. We implemented a fast and robust Real-Time License Plate Detection System.

  • 기후변화에 따른 강우의 규모와 발생빈도 증가로 농촌유역의 홍수 피해는 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 하지만 우리나라의 홍수 피해 저감 대책은 도시지역의 대하천 주변으로 집중되어있으며, 소하천 및 농촌유역의 홍수 피해 저감에 대한 관리와 투자 노력은 부족한 실정이다. 특히, 최근 들어 갑작스런 집중호우 등으로 인한 농촌유역 돌발홍수 피해 사례가 증가하고 있으며, 이에 대응하기 위해서는 홍수 발생 등을 신속하게 파악하기 위한 돌발홍수 예경보 시스템 개발이 필요하다. 한편, 최근 산업의 혁신과 생산성 향상을 위한 새로운 패러다임으로 4차 산업혁명이 대두되고 있으며, 빅데이터와 인공지능 (Artificial Intelligence, AI)을 비롯하여 사물인터넷 (Internet of Things, IoT), 드론, 슈퍼컴퓨팅 등의 이른바 4차 산업혁명 기술을 활용한 연구가 수행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기후변화에 따른 농촌유역 홍수 피해를 저감하고 또한 사전에 대비하기 위해 빅데이터와 인공지능 등 4차 산업혁명 기술을 적용한 농촌유역 돌발홍수 예경보 시스템을 개발하고 그 적용성을 평가하고자 한다. 우선, 농촌유역의 홍수와 관련된 빅데이터 (기상 자료, 수문 자료, 기후변화 자료, 농업용 수리구조물 자료 등)를 토대로 정형 빅데이터와 비정형 빅데이터를 구분 추출하고 이를 연계 해석할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 추출한 정형 및 비정형 빅데이터를 활용하여 딥러닝을 기반으로 농촌유역의 홍수를 예측하고 홍수 예경보 기준에 따른 평가를 수행할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 과거 강우사상을 홍수 예경보 시스템에 적용하여 홍수 모의 결과를 도출하였으며, 재해연보 등과 비교 분석하여 시스템의 적용성을 분석하였다.

The improved facial expression recognition algorithm for detecting abnormal symptoms in infants and young children (영유아 이상징후 감지를 위한 표정 인식 알고리즘 개선)

  • The non-contact body temperature measurement system is one of the key factors, which is manage febrile diseases in mass facilities using optical and thermal imaging cameras. Conventional systems can only be used for simple body temperature measurement in the face area, because it is used only a deep learning-based face detection algorithm. So, there is a limit to detecting abnormal symptoms of the infants and young children, who have difficulty expressing their opinions. This paper proposes an improved facial expression recognition algorithm for detecting abnormal symptoms in infants and young children. The proposed method uses an object detection model to detect infants and young children in an image, then It acquires the coordinates of the eyes, nose, and mouth, which are key elements of facial expression recognition. Finally, facial expression recognition is performed by applying a selective sharpening filter based on the obtained coordinates. According to the experimental results, the proposed algorithm improved by 2.52%, 1.12%, and 2.29%, respectively, for the three expressions of neutral, happy, and sad in the UTK dataset.

  • In accordance with the rapid non-face-to-face environment and mobile first strategy, the explosive increase and creation of many structured/unstructured data every year demands new decision making and services using big data in all fields. However, there have been few reference cases of using the Hadoop Ecosystem, which uses the rapidly increasing big data every year to collect and load big data into a standard platform that can be applied in a practical environment, and then store and process well-established big data in a relational database. Therefore, in this study, after collecting unstructured data searched by keywords from social network services based on Hadoop 2.0 through three virtual machine servers in the Spring Framework environment, the collected unstructured data is loaded into Hadoop Distributed File System and HBase based on the loaded unstructured data, it was designed and implemented to store standardized big data in a relational database using a morpheme analyzer. In the future, research on clustering and classification and analysis using machine learning using Hive or Mahout for deep data analysis should be continued.

Crack Detection on the Road in Aerial Image using Mask R-CNN (Mask R-CNN을 이용한 항공 영상에서의 도로 균열 검출)

  • Conventional crack detection methods have a problem of consuming a lot of labor, time and cost. To solve these problems, an automatic detection system is needed to detect cracks in images obtained by using vehicles or UAVs(unmanned aerial vehicles). In this paper, we have studied road crack detection with unmanned aerial photographs. Aerial images are generated through preprocessing and labeling to generate morphological information data sets of cracks. The generated data set was applied to the mask R-CNN model to obtain a new model in which various crack information was learned. Experimental results show that the cracks in the proposed aerial image were detected with an accuracy of 73.5% and some of them were predicted in a certain type of crack region.

  • Recently, In line with the recent trend of the fourth industrial revolution, many companies and institutions have been increasingly applying automated technologies using artificial intelligence to various tasks. Particularly, due to the government's 52-hour workweek system, companies are increasingly struggling with manpower management. Therefore, they are interested in RPA (Robotic Process Automation) for office environment automation for efficient manpower management. It is being introduced in the back-office business in credit card companies, bank, insurance. These RPA solutions require AI-based recognition technology, scripting technology, business software API-related technologies, and various solutions such as Automate One, Automation Anywhere, UiPath, and Blue Prism are provided. This paper analyzes and describes the technology of RPA solution, the market trend, and the efficiency of RPA adoption.
