This review paper presents guidelines which stakeholders use in addressing on-farm tree planting configuration, establishment, tending, silvi- cultural management, management of pests and diseases, challenges and opportunities as practiced in the medium to high potential areas of Kenya. The tree planting configurations discussed includes blocks planting (woodlot), boundary, compound planting, home/fruit gardens, trees intercropped or mixed with pasture, trees on riverbanks and roadside. Participatory monitoring and evaluation techniques have been highlighted. The main challenges facing tree planting activities include culture and attitude of local people, land and tree tenure, inadequate technical support, lack of recognition and integration of technical information and indigenous knowledge, capital and labour shortages, lack of appropriate incentives measures, damage by domestic and wild animals, conflict over trees on the boundary and policy and legal issues. This guideline targets forest managers, extension agents, students and other practitioners in policy and day to day decision making processes in Kenya.

In railway business plan, operations require a strategic and sustained level of planned investment to ensure assets are fit for purpose over the whole of their planned life. Therefore it is essential that operator can confidently plan and predict capital investment requirements over a number of years. This research addresses that how the London Underground apply a systematic risk based approach to their health and safety planning and investment decision making. Through this case study, we investigate the elements of management system that includes arrangements for the ongoing identification of hazards, assessment of risks and the implementation necessary control measures. Risk based business planning processes are also addressed.

A number of construction projects tied to the concerns and decision-making is also very complicated. In addition, more than any other industry, is inherent in many risk factors. In the course of the construction project on risk factors that exist in the early stages of project risk factors to predict in advance and prepare a project by shortening the construction period and project cost as you can to maximize performance. In this study, I proposed risk management processes and how they are used in web-based schedule risk in the process of change management system, and between 3D CAD, 4D CAD taking into account the linkages, risk management strategy process in the BIM environment.

Purpose - This paper's goal is to assess and promote several good teaching product designs and several learning environments. The paper discusses research product design learning and management. Research design, data, and methodology - As part of information science and technology, a school uses several teaching networks for auxiliary teaching, taking several designs as the teaching foundation, and creating multimedia curricula. Results - The results indicate that in the best learning designs and environments, the learner can maintain a high interest, which not only attracts all levels in the schools, but also has a pivotal influence on teaching around the world. The research study answers the question, was the atmosphere already luxurious? Conclusions - This study introduces several methodologies that are widely used for experimental processes. Using multi-criterion decision-making technology in studies of language product evaluation systems, the language teaching quality and space design is developed, and the language classroom learning system, the machine operation, the classroom environment design method, etc., conform to specifics of the study, the best choices, the most effective utilization, and are the most efficient.

Recently, the optimisation of end-of-life (EOL) product remanufacturing processes has been highlighted. In particular, computer remanufacturing becomes important as the amount of disposed of computers is rapidly increasing. At the computer remanufacturing, depending on the selections of used computer parts, the value of remanufactured computers will be different. Hence, it is important to select appropriate computer parts at the reassembly. To this end, this study deals with a decision making problem to select the best combination of computer parts for minimising the total remanufacturing computer cost. This problem is formulated with an integer nonlinear programming model and heuristic search algorithms are proposed to resolve it.

Manufacturing firms have adapted seriously the Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) techniques which consider concurrently all factors related to the product development by using effective communications and sharing of information on product development processes. This study performed modelling and characterizing the data related to product manufacturing information for Design for Manufacture(DFM) evaluation and analysis. It adapted component-based development method for communicating and managing manufacturing information among distributed manufacturing organizations. Introducing component-based development offers safety and speed to network based system. This development using Unified Modelling Language(UML) provides efficient way for reconstruction and distribution of applications. Also, the integration of database and component into the internet environment enables to communicate and manage effectively manufacturing information for DFM evaluation and analysis at any place in the world. Therefore this system can make it more reasonable that evaluating, analyzing, and effective decision making of product design using DFM technique.

IT is the core industry in Korea which has the most international competitiveness and counts for 35% of the total exports of Korea. Nevertheless, it tends to be concentrated in small range of items, a few countries and mostly large companies. Therefore, it is needed for small and medium-sized enterprises which can have prompt decision making processes and various changes to export wide range of items and to diverse countries. This study will introduce 'the fleet-type expansion strategy of overseas export' that is about large and small enterprises perform the appropriate role based on their own character, thus they produce the mutual benefit. This strategy will contribute to improve the export structure of Korea and perform the major role for Korea's IT industry to become the dynamic force for growth in the future.

This paper introduces the applications of Taiwan Earthquake Loss Estimation System (TELES), which is developed by the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE). Seismic disaster simulation technology (SDST) integrates geographical information system to assess the distribution of ground shaking intensity, ground failure probability, building damages, casualties, post-quake fires, debris, lifeline interruptions, economic losses, etc. given any set of seismic source parameters. The SDST may integrate with Taiwan Rapid Earthquake Information Release System (TREIRS) developed by Central Weather Bureau (CWB) to obtain valuable information soon after large earthquakes and to assist in decision-making processes to dispatch rescue and medical resources more efficiently. The SDST may also integrate with probabilistic seismic source model to evaluate various kinds of risk estimates, such as average annual loss, probable maximum loss in one event, and exceeding probability curves of various kinds of losses, to help proposing feasible countermeasures and risk management strategies.

The visualization of business reports has received greater attention from information system scholars. Tables, graph and charts are often used to represent vast amount of complex numerical data and spreadsheet visuals become a de facto standard in business. This study suggests the use of individual's cognitive differences on business report visualization instead of providing "one visual fits all type of reports." It is argued that reports with data augmented by appropriate visuals will affect the efficiency and effectiveness of an individual's learning outcomes and subsequently his or her decision making processes. It is argued here that report visualization can augment the usefulness of contents and enhance many desirable features of reports as specified in those proposed models.

This paper suggests a collaborative business process between the companies that each has a restricted physical branch in its own area and wants to extend globally sales and delivery service. The companies integrate their business processes for sales and delivery using a shared product taxonomy table. We also suggest a similar product finding algorithm to make the product taxonomy table that defines product relationships to exchange them between the companies. The main idea of the proposed algorithm is using a multi-attribute decision making (MADM) to find the utility values of products in a same product class of the companies. Using the values we determine what products are similar. It helps the product manager to register the similar products into a same product sub-category. The companies then allow consumer to shop and purchase the products at their own residence site and deliver them or similar products to another sites.
