  • This paper present controller designs based on the configuration control framework for a redundant manipulator to accomplish the basic task of desired, end-effector motion, while utilizing the redundancy to achieve the additional tasks such as joint motion control, obstacle avoidance, singularity avoidance. etc. A task based decentralized adaptive scheme is then applied for the configuration variables to track some reference trajectories as close as possible. Simulation results for a direct-drive three-link arm in the vertical plane demonstrate its capabilities for performing various useful tasks.

  • This paper suggests that the immune algorithm can effectively be used in tuning of a multivariable system. Then artificial immune network always has a new paraller decentralized processing mechanism for various situations, since antibodies communication to each other among different species of antibodies/B-cells through the simulation and suppression chains among antibodies that form a large-scaled network.   • The interest in wind power generation area such as developing and operating wind-diesel pilot complex in remote and island regions that have difficulty in having power plant and connecting to power system is growing rapidly in the world. We have installed and researched the hybrid system in Sekgok Pilot Complex to meet the new generation system. From the monitored data of the system, the performance of each diesel power plant is outstanding. However, step out problem was detected with respect to load sharing and synchronization with decentralized power supply. An advanced controller design having better response time and stability is needed to solve such problem. In this paper, we proposed the algorithm, through digital controller of Governor, which is applied to hybrid system. As a result, we obtained the stable frequency value in variable loading conditions. Also, we proved the advanced response time and stability through the simulation and experiment by applying additional current signal to the control algorithm.

  • Sun power generation systems which use large capacity centralized inverters have loss of power generation due to cloud and building shadows, pollution, cell deterioration, etc. To minimize loss of power generation, decentralized solar power systems using multiple micro-inverters are being proposed as an alternative. A distributed solar power system consisting of a system-connected system uses power line communication to collect data from the micro-inverters. Power line communication has the advantage of using power lines without separate lines for data transmission, but in distributed solar power generation systems that use a large number of micro-inverters, the bit error rate is less reliable due to the phenomenon caused by limited transmission power, high load interference and noise, variable signal attenuation, and impedance characteristics. So we proposed wireless intelligent controller for micro-inverter that is used to build distributed solar power systems. and we design and implement that. Further, the proposed wireless intelligent controller for micro-inverter was used to establish a small-volume solar power plant to check its function and operation.

  • In this paper, a near optimal decentralized observer-controller design method is proposed for ramp metering systems based on SDRE (State Dependent Riccati Equation) approach. The optimal nonlinear observer gain is parameterized in terms of the solution matrix of an SDRE. This paper gives a simple algorithm to compute the near optimal observer gain. The optimal control design problem is also considered. Finally, numerical simulation results are given to illuminate the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed design method.

  • The control system design of 2-DOF for SISO process by root locus technique is not complicated and efficiently. It can design the control system to have the transient and steady state responses, and do not adjust the gain of process controller later. However, due to control system design for MIMO process, by root locus technique, there is not exact method. This paper is presents the control system design method for Quadruple-Tank Process, by using root locus technique for the structure of 2-DOF control system. The design procedures are first decentralized then using the relative gain array, and finally 2-DOF controller design is applied.

  • A control system design with Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) is proven that effective for SISO control design. But the control system design for MIMO via CDM is not concrete procedure. In this paper presents the control system design method for quadruple-tank process via CDM. By using the decentralized method for both non-minimum phase and minimum phase are made. The results from Integral-Proportional (I-P) controller’s design via CDM and standard Proportional-Integral (PI) controls are also shown to compare the merits of the proposed controllers.

  • In the centralized cloud controlled environment, the decision-making and monitoring play crucial role where in the host controller (HC) manages the resources across hosts in data center (DC). HC does virtual machine (VM) and physical hosts management. The VM management includes VM creation, monitoring, and migration. If HC down, the services hosted by various hosts in DC can't be accessed outside the DC. Decentralized VM management avoids centralized failure by considering one of the hosts from DC as HC that helps in maintaining DC in running state. Each host in DC has many VM's with the threshold limit beyond which it can't provide service. To maintain threshold, the host's in DC does VM migration across various hosts. The data in migration is in the form of plaintext, the intruder can analyze packet movement and can control hosts traffic. The incorporation of security mechanism on hosts in DC helps protecting data in migration. This paper discusses an approach for dynamic HC selection, VM selection and secure VM migration over cloud environment.

  • This paper deals with a design problem of a decentralized controller with a strongly connected two-input two-output multivariable system. To this end, we present a classical design approach which consists of two main steps: one is to decompose the multivariable plant into two single-input single-output systems by means of the Individual Channel Design (ICD) concept, the other is to design controller of each channel by the Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) so that it satisfies, especially, time domain specifications such as settling time, overshoot etc.. A design procedure was proposed and then was applied to a 2$\times$2 hot rolling mill plant. Simulation results showed that the proposed method has excellent control performances.
