Practical methodology for categorizing collaborative disciplines or research in a quantitative manner is presented by developing a Correlation Matrix of Major Disciplines (CMMD) using bibliometric data collected between 2009 and 2014. First, 21 major disciplines in science and engineering are defined based on journal publication frequency. Second, major disciplines using a comparing discipline correlation matrix is created and correlation score using CMMD is calculated based on an analyzer function that is given to the matrix elements. Third, a correlation between the major disciplines and 14 research fields using CMMD is calculated for validation. Collaborative researches are classified into three groups by partially accepting the definition of pluri-discipline from peer review manual, European Science Foundation, inner-discipline, inter-discipline and cross-discipline. Applying simple categorization criteria identifies three groups of collaborative research and also those results can be visualized. Overall, the proposed methodology supports the categorization for each research field.

Purpose - This study strives to discern trends in research productivity in the Journal of Consumer Behavior. It will identify prolific authors and institutions in articles over ten years (2004-2013). Research design, data, and methodology - The Journal of Consumer Behavior was chosen and articles over ten years were analyzed. Research productivity was determined by categorizing the data into four themes: number of authors per article, author affiliated institutions, a list of prolific authors over a ten-year period, and author-affiliated countries. Results - Authors have a propensity to collaborate on a research paper, yielding a high frequency of articles with two or three authors in a single publication. In addition, author and institution productivity was highest in North America and Europe. Conclusions - The research productivity of the Journal of Consumer Behavior is unprecedented. The trends and insights from this study will allow academics in the area of consumer behavior to observe leading authors and institutions. Moreover, speculations about the leading countries and institutions, not to mention top prolific authors in consumer behavior, will be elucidated in this study.

This paper describes aerodynamic heating on a hypersonic vehicle. For this purpose, the 2-D, and 3-D equilibrium code are developed. In order to obtain an accurate solution, AUSMPW+ is used for spatial discretization. Curve fitting data in NASA Reference Publication 1181, 1260 are used to calculate equilibrium properties. To observe aerodynamic heating phenomena, Reynolds number parametric study for diamond airfoil is done, 3-D full Navier-Stokes equation is computed and wall temperature distribution data are obtained. Analyzing these results, we conclude that Reynolds number and secondary flow are important factors in aerodynamic heating.

This paper presents a consolidated patent index to measure national technology innovation and science technology activation, as well as index for the main constituent such as corporation, research organization by comprehensive analysis of existing patent index. It is classified by macroscopic index and analytical index in the consolidated patent index, in which macroscopic index is to present a degree of innovation in national scientific innovation and is divided into the Consolidated Patent Index and Index for comparison between countries. The analytical index basically designed to measure R&D activity by the main constituent is divided to present by quantitative index utilizing bibliographical data in patent and other technical publication related therein, and qualitative index for analysis of bibliographical data. In this paper, the Consolidated Patent Index is presented by adding Creation Index representing for patent by developing excellent technology, Evaluation Index representing valuable technology thereof, and Utility Index representing applicability diffused.

Purpose: This article explored issues arising from secondary analysis of qualitative data and analyzed the results of qualitative secondary analysis studies published in English, focusing on the methodological aspects. Method: A total of 29 studies were identified as qualitative secondary analysis studies, retrieving from the CINAHL database from 1982 to 3rd week of April 2003. These studies were analyzed by publication year, research method, and type of approach to secondary analysis. Result: The year that the qualitative secondary analysis study first published was 1992 and the number of the studies using secondary analysis has increased after the middle of 1990s. Grounded theory was the one the most frequently used(n=11, 37.9%) and phenomenological study the second most(n=6, 20.7%). In terms of types of approach, fifteen studies(51.7%) focused on the specific concepts that were not explored in the primary studies. Nine(31.0%) focused on the specific types of participants. Six were aimed to integrate contexts or perspectives to generate more general and abstract analysis of qualitative data. Conclusion: The results of this article will stimulate methodological discussion of qualitative secondary analysis and activate qualitative studies using secondary analysis.

With the rapid increase of user generated data on digital platforms, the task of categorizing and classifying theses huge data has become difficult. Topic modeling is an unsupervised machine learning technique that can be used to get a summary from a large collection of documents. Topic modeling has been widely used in English content, yet the application of topic modeling in Arabic language is limited. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to provide a systematic review of the application of topic modeling algorithms in Arabic content. Using a well-known and trusted databases including ScienceDirect, IEEE Xplore, Springer Link, and Google Scholar. Considering the publication date from 2012 to 2022, we got 60 papers. After refining the papers based on predefined criteria, we resulted in 32 papers. Our result show that unfortunately the application of topic modeling techniques in Arabic content is limited.

최근 ESG 경영 등 환경에 대한 관심이 고조됨에 따라, 기존 화학산업을 대체할 수 있는 바이오화학산업이 성장하고 있다. 바이오화학산업규모는 연평균 성장률 10%로 2050년에는 화학산업 시장의 약 50% 정도를 차지할 것으로 예상될 정도로 유망 분야로 성장하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 신산업으로 성장하고 있는 바이오화학분야의 연구자들이 해당 분야의 유망 소재에 대하여 최신 연구정보를 빠르게 파악하고, 미래 유망 바이오화학물질의 발굴등 바이오화학 분야에 다양하게 활용할 수 있도록 관련 논문 정보를 수집, 저장, 검색할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 해당 수집 논문정보는 바이오화학산업분류와 연관된 바이오화학물질에 대한 정보와 연계되어 있어, 향후 인공지능 데이터 분석 등에 활용할 수 있는 데이터를 제공할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

Recently the global epidemic problem of obesity has stimulated intense interest in the study of physiological mechanisms using animal models as a way to gain crucial data required for translation to human studies. Panax ginseng has been reported to have anti-obesity or antidiabetic effects in many animal studies; however, there have been few studies investigating human obesity. Herein, we will assess and examine the evidence supporting the anti-obesity effect of Panax ginseng in animal models with respect to anthropometric and metabolic outcomes. We will include controlled, comparative studies assessing the effect of Panax ginseng in preclinical studies of obesity. Panax ginseng will be administered during or following the induction of experimental obesity. The primary outcome measure will be anthropometric assessment and the secondary outcome measures will include adipose tissue weight, total amount of food consumed and metabolic parameters. We will search MEDLINE, Embase, PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus without language, publication date, or other restrictions. Ethical approval will not be necessary as the data collected in this study will not be individual patient data, consequently there will be no concerns about violations of privacy. After finishing the whole procedure, the results will be disseminated by publication in a peer-reviewed journal or presented at a relevant conference. This protocol has been registered on the Collaborative Approach to Meta-Analysis and Review of Animal Data from Experimental Studies (CAMARADES) website (http://www.camarades.info).
