Value prediction is a technique to obtain performance gains by supplying earlier source values of its data dependent instructions using predicted value of a instruction. To fully exploit the potential of value speculation, however, the efficient recovery mechanism is necessary in case of value misprediction. In this paper, we propose a sequential and selective recovery mechanism for value misprediction. It searches data dependency chain of the mispredicted instruction sequentially without pipeline stalls and adverse impact on clock cycle time. In our scheme, only the dependent instructions on the predicted instruction is selectively squashed and reissued in case of value misprediction.

Many companies make considerable efforts in implementing supply chain management systems to increase their competitiveness. In particular, there are significant investments in their ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and supply chain. However, considerable diversity exists in how well firms have been able to assimilate ICT and leverage the business value of it. In addition, studies on supply chains, particularly Real Time Enterprise (RTE) competence, which is cited for rapid information sharing and dynamic capabilities for each role in the supply chain, are insufficient. The purpose of this paper is to explore and evaluate effect of ICT utilization capabilities, including 'ICT internal cooperative capabilities' and 'ICT operational flexibility capabilities', on RTE capabilities (flexibility, visibility and prediction) and supply chain performance. To validate the research model proposed in the study, survey was conducted on companies using ICT along the supply chain of manufacturing industries. 216 data were used, SPSS and AMOS were used for the analysis methods. Study results showed that ICT internal collaboration capabilities affect agility, one of RTE capabilities, but not visibility and prediction, and ICT operational flexibility capabilities have affected all three RTE capacities. And, RTE capabilities had a huge impact on supply chain performance as expected. In this paper, it has been found that the ICT capabilities in manufacturing are an important factor in improving RTE capabilities that are important in the supply chain and improving the performance of the supply chain.
Purpose - This study investigates the key features of Quick Response as the fundamental form of supply chain collaboration by reviewing the selected past studies. Based on the findings from the literature review, this study provides the guideline for future researchers and business practitioners who search for more advanced collaboration programs. Research design, data, and methodology - This study conducts the literature review on the past studies that had researched Quick Response. The selected studies are analyzed in terms of how to represent Quick Response in the models and which issue to address. Results - This study finds that the past studies lack a unified concept of Quick Response, and they fail to provide the consistent guideline on how to run this program in practices. The literature review also shows that only a small number of research issues has been addressed by most researchers. Conclusions - On the purpose of figuring out the real value of Quick Response, this study suggests that future studies apply its extensive application to the entire supply chain system. This study also shed light on the potential of Quick Response to be a more advanced supply chain collaboration program with additional collaborative functions other than information sharing.
The Internet is now an ubiquitous technology in business and possesses the potential to make the concept of value chain into an attainable reality. We posit that the way the Internet is utilized, the extent of the Internet's impact on business performance, and the extent the firms are prepared to take advantage of the Internet varies from country to country and from industry to industry. Based on data collected from 54 firms in the U.S. and 135 in South Korea, we compared the two countries (U.S. and South Korea) and two major industry groups (manufacturing and service) regarding the pattern of Internet utilization on the Internet from a value chain perspective. The findings show that U.S. companies utilize the Internet more extensively in such areas as human resources management, automation, sales, and advertising than the South Korean counterparts. However, we did not find a statistically significant difference in the way the two countries use the Internet within a value chain model. We also compared Internet practices by industry sector (i.e., service vs. manufacturing) within each country. The results show that firms in the service sector tend to use the Internet more extensively than the manufacturing counterparts in both countries. Particularly in Korea the difference between the sectors was significant in the extent to which they utilized the Internet to support such business activities as inter-organizational alliance, communication, and marketing.
The crystal of cholesteryl crotylcarbonate was investigated by X-ray diffraction method. Crystallographic data for the title compound: P21, a=13.510(2)Å, b=11.843(2)Å, c=19.882(2)Å, β=106.88(1)°, Z=4. Reflections were collected with an Enraf-Nonius CAD-4 diffractometer equipped with a graphite monochromator. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined by least-squares analyses. The final R value was 0.125 for 2607 reflections. The cholesterol fragment of the title compound were in good agreement with those for related cholesterol derivatives. The molecules were stacked in clearly separated layers. At the center of the layers, there were cholesteryl-cholesteryl interactions between the symmetry-related B molecules and the cholesteryl-C(17) side chain of A molecules. There were also interactions between the C(17) side chain of B molecules and the crotylcarbonate chain in the interface region between layers. The crystal structure of the title compound turned out to be isostructural with those of cholesteryl ethylcarbonate and cholesteryl propylcarbonate.
This paper aims to analyze the competitiveness of the Korean Deep-sea Fisheries firms in the firm level. The extant researches on this topic have been done mainly in the macro-or industry-level perspectives and depended on the quantitative analyses using the aggregated data. The results of these researches are useful to figure out the main features of the industy, however, hardly give any implications on the strategic or competitiveness-related problems in the firm level. To accomplish the research purposes this study analyzes the competitiveness of the Korean Fisheries firms on the value chain scheme using qualitative tools. Specifically this paper focuses on the industry competition characteristics, key success factors, the competitiveness, and the supporting systems and policies of the Korean Government. Data are gathered by questionaire and analyzed by factor analysis and Kruska-Wallis one-way ANOVA. The results shows that the competitiveness of the Korean Deep-sea Fisheries firms is not behind the foreign competitors. However the resource securing, the market development, R&D investment are the main obstacles to the firms. The governmental supports are kedined to improve the competitiveness of the Korean Deep-sea Fisheries firms.
Purpose: This research investigates ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee. Although the RTD coffee market is growing competitively, few studies have examined behavioral re-intention or repurchase intention in the context of this industry. Therefore, the objective of this study was to explore factors affecting the behavioral re-intention to purchase RTD coffee. Research design, data and methodology: Using the theory of planned behavior (TPB) as the underpinning theoretical framework, this study hypothesized that behavioral re-intention to purchase RTD coffee is influenced by the variables of the TPB and additional variables. A mixed-method research design was applied, starting with qualitative in-depth interviews and followed by a quantitative method. Data were collected using an online survey of coffee lovers. Multiple linear regression (MLR) was used to assess the hypothesized relationships in the proposed conceptual framework. Results: The results reveal that content sensory attribute beliefs are the strongest positive predictor of behavioral re-intention in Thailand, followed by perceived utilitarian value. In contrast, price signaling was negatively related to behavioral re-intention. Conclusions: The findings can help food and beverage companies to develop new coffee product lines to gain more market share, create integrated marketing communications to build brand awareness, and manage distribution channels and the supply chain.
Utilizing OECD-WTO's Trade in Value Added (TiVA) data, this study investigates the effects of economic integration (EI) on TiVA Empirical results obtained from structural gravity specifications reveal that EI increases trade between member countries, irrespective the types of exports in final goods and intermediate goods as well as foreign value added in total exports and domestic value added in total exports. The empirical results also reveal that EI does not decrease the share of domestic value added in total exports.

Product data quality (PDQ) is a real and significant issue in today's manufacturing environment. In the Korean automotive industry, much of the design work takes place with the support of software tools, such as CAD systems. Although many designers frequently encounter quality problems regarding product data, there is no investigation into the present state of CAD usage and PDQ activities before. The Korean automotive industry is responsible for about 11.1 percent of the total value of manufactured goods in Korea and 7.9 percent of employment in manufacturing. A study performed by the Research Triangle Institute showed that imperfect interoperability imposes at least $\$1$ billion per year on the members of the U.S. automotive supply chain. The trends toward concurrent engineering and out-sourcing have elevated the importance of high-quality product data and efficient product data exchange. This paper shows the results from a survey of PDQ conducted on seven 1st tiers among members of the Korean automotive supply chain.

MANET is composed of only the mobile nodes have a limited transmission range. The dynamic topology by the frequent movement of nodes makes routing difficult and is also cause exposed to security vulnerabilities. In this paper, we propose the security routing technique consisted of mechanism of two steps in order to respond effectively to attack by the modification of the routing information and transmit secure data. The hierarchical structure is used and the authentication node that issues the key of the nodes within each cluster is elected in this proposed method. The authentication node manages key issues and issued information for encrypting the routing information from the source node. The reliability value for each node is managed to routing trust table in order to secure data transmission. In the first step, the route discovery is performed using this after the routing information is encrypted using the key issued by the authentication node. In the second step, the average reliability value of the node in the found path is calculated. And the safety of the data transmission is improved after the average reliability value selects the highest path. The improved performance of the proposed method in this paper was confirmed through comparative experiments with CBSR and SEER. It was confirmed a better performance in the transmission delay, the amount of the control packet, and the packet transmission success ratio.
