Construction of Land Use Suitability Assessment System for Establishing Urban Management Plan - Focused on Jinju City - (도시관리계획수립을 위한 토지적성평가시스템 구축 -진주시를 중심으로-)

  • The Land Use Suitability Assessment System was recently introduced by the $\ulcorner$Act on Planning and Utilization of the National Territory$\lrcorner$ to use, manage, and develop the national territory, which integrated the National Land Use and Management Act and the Urban Planning Act. It provides a guideline for classifying land use into 5 classes according to locational characteristics, usability, and developmental conditions of land in the vicinity. The database is constructed with LMIS cadastral data, posted land price data, and data of related agencies such as the Korea Forest Service, the Ministry of Environment, and the Korea Water Resources Corporation etc. After the database construction, individual parcels are analysed by steps and classified into 3 sub areas - conservation, agriculture, and development using GIS. In this paper we evaluate land use suitability for individual parcels by constructing the Land Use Suitability Assessment System for Jinju city. Therefore, we suggest that this system provides vital data in the urban management planning process.

  • As a lot of information and media are given to users in Internet space nowadays, users feel disoriented or "lost in space" intensively. So it is suggested that we have the system to reduce information overload and to propose effective and efficient information. In this study we present a visualizing technique which uses fisheye views on data adjacency to combine global context and local details for presentation of many results in limited space. Data Adjacency on graph theory is applied to set up degree of interest which is main focus in fisheye views. Graph theory is useful to solve the problem resulted from various combinational optimization, especially it has advantages to analyze issues in information space like Internet. To test the usability of the proposed visualization technique, we compared the effectiveness of different visualization techniques. Results show that our method is evaluated with respect to less time and high satisfaction for a task accomplishment.

  • Since anthropometric data are essential to the design of industrial products, the national anthropometric survey was performed three times in Korea. An Anthropometric Data Manager system (ADaM) was implemented based on the 1992 national anthropometric survey to promote the utilization of the data. The system provides graphic user interface to facilitate usability. Anthropometric information can be obtained in various ways by the following statistical analyses; multivariate features analysis, correlation analysis, and regression. In addition, recommendations for design parameters of industrial products were provided in this system.

  • In this paper, we introduced non-parametric statisticals method that could analyse the field data and proposed application ways such as repair-part demand forcasting, MTBF estimation and trend analysis, identity comparison with two populations using the analytical results. In addition, we applied that to real field data which has been collected for about ten years from K series tracked vehicle. After that, we compared the results with those using traditional parametric statistical method, and verified the usability of them.

Implementation of Extracting Specific Information by Sniffing Voice Packet in VoIP

  • VoIP technology has been widely used for exchanging voice or image data through IP networks. VoIP technology, often called Internet Telephony, sends and receives voice data over the RTP protocol during the session. However, there is an exposition risk in the voice data in VoIP using the RTP protocol, where the RTP protocol does not have a specification for encryption of the original data. We implement programs that can extract meaningful information from the user's dialogue. The meaningful information means the information that the program user wants to obtain. In order to do that, our implementation has two parts. One is the client part, which inputs the keyword of the information that the user wants to obtain, and the other is the server part, which sniffs and performs the speech recognition process. We use the Google Speech API from Google Cloud, which uses machine learning in the speech recognition process. Finally, we discuss the usability and the limitations of the implementation with the example.

  • This paper proposes a new simplification algorithm that simplifies reconstructed polygonal mesh from 3D point set considering an original point set. Previous method computes error using mesh information, but it makes to increase error of difference between an original and a simplified model by reason of implementation of simplification. Proposed method simplifies a reconstructed model using an original point data, we acquire a simplified model similar an original. We show several simplified results to demonstrate the usability of our methods.

  • For widespread adoption for the RFID technology, RFID middleware is considered as the key enabler of the RFID evolution while it manages the flow of data between tag readers and enterprise applications and is responsible for the quality, and therefore usability, of the information. In this paper, we introduce the recent researches and developments of RFID middleware and explain the software framework of the RFID middleware which is currently developed in ETRI.   • A simulator is designed in order to evaluate the performance a f a lockup controller. The original analog controller and boiler plant are transformed into digital form model, in which the plant is modeled as a 2 input-2 output system connected to first order peripheral units. The experimented results show that the simulated system renders the same steady state characteristics as data and show usability of simulator.

  • The primary goal of this paper is to develop an evaluation model for Web site design that have substantial effects of the performance of marketing and promotion of goods and services of the company. This paper proposes 3 design aspects such as dosing concepts, usability, and artistic coordination. The model also have tested its applicability to real world examples through an appropriate statistical techniques. Then, the model has been actually applied into 6 typical web sites and their design problems are thoroughly investigated and compared each other. Several web site design guidelines are also proposed for web design practitioners.

  • A current design trend of a vending machine is pursuing easy manufacturing and large capacity of holding cans. Therefore this study aims to ergonomically redesign vending machine and to analyze the motion of awkward posture to take out cans. Using Vision 3000 system, after investigating which motion can affect users, a new ergonomically designed vending machine, which was based on anthropometric data and guideline for control panel and exit of cans. New design shows a significantly improved usability and less stress. With new ergonomically designed vending machine at figure 3 can give a benefit for both users and manufactures.
