Relationship between Basic Psychological Needs, Positive Psychological Capital, and Psychological Burnout depending on Types of Nursing Organizational Culture (간호 조직문화 유형에 따른 간호사의 기본심리욕구, 긍정심리자본, 심리적 소진 간의 관계)

  • This study is a descriptive survey research for relationship between basic psychological needs, positive psychological capital and psychological burnout according to type of nursing organizational culture. The participants were 151 clinical nurses at 5 general hospital located in M city from May 2020 to June 2020 by questionnaire survey. For data analysis, SPSS/WIN 23.0 program was utilized including one-way ANOVA, independent t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients. This study showed a positive correlation for basic psychological needs, positive psychological capital in relationship-oriented culture and innovation-oriented culture. In addition, it showed a negative correlation for psychological burnout. This study confirmed positive correlationt between relationship-oriented culture, Innovation-oriented culture and positive psychology in nursing organization. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a system within a nursing organization and develop related programs that can promote relationship-oriented culture, innovation-oriented culture.

Influencing Factors on Presenteeism of Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 프리젠티즘에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the influencing factors of job stress, self-efficacy, and organizational culture to presenteeism in clinical nurses. Methods: A descriptive correlation research design was used for the this study. The subjects were 245 nurses working at the hospital in S, A and C City, from August $1^{st}$ to October $30^{th}$ 2014. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}^{\prime}s$ test, stepwise multiple regression by SPSS 21.0 program. Results: Job impairment indicated a significant positive relationship to job stress (p=.009), health problem (p<.001), and indicated significant negative relationship to self-efficacy (p<.001), innovative-oriented (p<.001), affiliative-oriented (p=.002), task-oriented (p=.026) in organizational culture. Significant factors of influencing to presenteeism were self-efficacy (p<.001, ${\beta}=-.363$), culture of task-oriented (p<.001, ${\beta}=-.248$) in organizational culture, and health problem (p=.002, ${\beta}=.187$). Conclusion: Self-efficacy was defined as a variable to influence on presenteeism, and developing of strategies and program to strengthen self-efficacy and task-oriented of organizational culture in nursing is helpful to reduce the presenteeism of clinical nurses.

Mediating Effects of Empowerment, Job Stress, and Organizational Commitment in Relation-oriented Nursing Organization Culture and Turnover Intention of Clinical Nurses (병원간호사의 관계지향 간호조직문화와 이직의도 간의 관계에 있어서 임파워먼트, 직무 스트레스, 조직몰입의 매개효과)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to analyze the mediating effects of empowerment, job stress, organizational commitment and relation-oriented nursing organization culture on turnover intention of clinical nurses. Methods: Participants selected for the final analysis were 382 nurses working in 4 general hospitals. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics Pearson correlation analysis (SPSS/WIN 17.0), and Path analysis (AMOS 18.0). Results: The study results are as follows: relation-oriented nursing organizational culture had no direct effect but had an indirect effect on nurses' turnover intention through empowerment, job stress, and organizational commitment, while job stress and organizational commitment had direct effects on turnover intention. The results also showed that empowerment had strong effect on organizational commitment, but job stress had very weak effect. Empowerment had an effect on turnover intention. Conclusion: These results indicate that establishment of relation-oriented nursing organization culture is imperative if clinical nurses' turnover intention is to be decreased.

Factors Influencing Professional Quality of Life in Intensive Care Unit Nurses of University Hospitals (대학병원 중환자실 간호사의 전문직 삶의 질 영향요인)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to identify the factors influencing the professional quality of life of intensive care unit (ICU) nurses working in university hospitals. Methods : A survey was conducted on 171 ICU nurses in university hospitals in B City, South Korea. This study used the Professional Quality of Life instrument, which consists of three subscales, namely, compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress. Data were analyzed using stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results : Compassion satisfaction was influenced by resilience, ICU job satisfaction, and innovation-oriented culture, and these variables explained 37.1% of the variance in compassion satisfaction. Burnout was influenced by resilience, a hierarchy-oriented culture, and ICU job satisfaction, and these variables explained 42.9% of the variance in burnout. Secondary traumatic stress was influenced by a task-oriented culture and resilience, and these variables explained 12.5% of the variance in secondary traumatic stress. Conclusion : These findings suggest the importance of improving resilience and job satisfaction to enhance the professional quality of life in ICU nurses. Moreover, creating an innovation-oriented culture rather than a hierarchical and task-oriented culture can effectively improve the professional quality of life of ICU nurses.

A Study on the Influences of Organizational Culture and Learning on BPC Success (조직문화와 조직학습이 BPC성공에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • According to Klempa(1995), the fit between environmental factors of a company may have the impact on its BPC success. Under this background, this paper empirically examines the effects of the fit between the organizational culture and the organizational learning the success of BPC. Organizational cultures, organizational learning, as well as knowledge sharing are the dominant causes that have impact on the innovation characters of organization. Whether an organization has safety-oriented homogeneous culture or it has the change-oriented heterogeneous culture may have impact on its implementation of BPC. Also the implementation of BPC may be affected by whether an organizational learning type has adaptive-oriented learning is single loop or it has the innovative-oriented learning is double loop. Thus, we analyzed the effect of the fit between the organization's culture and organizational learning type on BPC success by using the survey data collected from the companies that have adopted BPC. The findings presented in this paper show that the organization having heterogeneous culture practicing double loop learning the improvement project resulted in the excellent BPC success. These findings provide the perceptive guidelines for managers of organizations contemplating the implementation of BPC project.

Influence of Role Conflict, Nursing Organizational Culture and Resilience on Nursing Performance in Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 역할갈등, 간호조직문화 및 회복탄력성이 간호업무수행에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the relationships between role conflict, nursing organizational culture, resilience and nursing performance and the factors influencing nursing performance in clinical nurses. Methods: The participants were 191 nurses working for more than 6 months in a National University Hospital. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires from October to November in 2016. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple linear regression with SPSS/WIN 24.0. Results: Factors affecting nursing performance in clinical nurses were resilience (β=.41, p<.001), relation-oriented nursing organizational culture (β=.12, p=.007) and hierarchical-oriented nursing organizational culture (β=.13, p=.047). These factors explained about 37.7% of the variability in nursing performance (F=10.57, p<.001). Conclusion: It is necessary to estabilish a relation-oriented nursing organizational culture in nursing organization. Also, education and intervention programs to improve nurses' resilience should be developed in order to increase nursing performance in clinical nurses.

Assessment of the Knowledge Management Technology Implementation as a Function of Organizational Culture Orientations (조직 유형과 지식 경영시스템 성공도 관계에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to explore the possible relationship between the successful implementation of knowledge management technology and specific organizational culture orientations. Data used to test hypothesis derived for this research were obtained from 227 responders from the Organizational Culture Profile (OCP) survey instruments and 67 responders from the Knowledge Management Technology Profile (KMTP) survey instruments representing 26 separate organizations. The OCP provides a profile of an organization's culture orientations while the KMTP provides a profile of the organization's degree of the KM technology implementation success. The results of this research suggests that employees of organization which are more successful in implementing KM technology have identified organizational cultures that embody a healthy mixture of both production-oriented and people-oriented attributes indicative of the culture orientation.

Factors Affecting Patient-centered Nursing in Regional Public Hospital (지방의료원 간호사의 환자중심간호에 미치는 영향요인)

  • Purpose: This study examines the factors affecting patient-centered nursing among regional public hospital nurses, with a focus on communications, professionalism, organizational culture, and teamwork. Methods: We included 162 nurses working at five regional public hospitals in G province. Data were collected from October 7 through October 19, 2019 using self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test or ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS (Version 24.0). Results: The factors affecting patient-centered nursing included an innovation-oriented culture, working in an intensive care unit, hierarchy-oriented culture, and nursing professionalism. These variables explained 43% of patient-centered nursing. Conclusions: These results suggest that enhancing an innovation-oriented culture is necessary for patient-centered nursing and to improve nurses' awareness about the importance of patient-centered nursing. Moreover, organizational efforts are required to increase nurses' professionalism through suitable educational programs in regional public hospitals.

A Study on Management Strategies and Management Performance According to Organizational Culture Types in the Digital Economy Era (디지털 경제 시대의 조직문화 유형에 따른 경영전략 및 경영성과에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how the management strategies and organizational culture required in the digital economy have an effect on business performance. It provided basic data on management strategies and organizational culture necessary to approach as a digital leading country. For data collection, a survey was conducted from March 1 to May 30, 2022 for companies located in J province and engaged in industries related to the digital economy. The survey was conducted online and non-face-to-face, and a total of 225 companies participated in the survey. For statistical analysis, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis, cluster analysis, independent sample t-test, and multiple regression analysis were performed. The research results are as follows. First, organizational culture was classified into high and low groups according to preference in innovation oriented, relationship oriented, task oriented, and hierarchical oriented. Second, the 4 types of organizational culture showed differences in prospectors strategy, analyzers strategy, defenders strategy, differentiation strategy, cost leadership strategy, financial performance, and non-financial performance according to preference. Third, management strategies affecting financial performance were found to be analyzers strategy, differentiation strategy, prospectors strategy, and cost leadership strategy. Fourth, management strategies affecting non-financial performance were found to be differentiation strategy, defenders strategy, analysis strategy, offensive strategy, cost leadership strategy, and focus strategy. Fifth, organizational culture affecting financial performance was found to be task oriented. Sixth, organizational culture affecting non-financial performance was found to be innovation oriented and relationship oriented. Through these studies, it is expected that the economy will be revitalized in the domestic market and a growth ecosystem that can take a new leap forward is created in the global market.

A Study on the Japanese Female College Students' lifestyle and Clothing Benefits Sought (일본 여대생의 라이프스타일과 의복 추구 혜택과의 관계 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between lifestyles and clothing benefits pursuit. A questionnaire was developed to measure lifestyle and clothing benefits sought. The questionnaire was distributed and collected from 131 college female students in Tokyo. The data was analyzed by percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, reliability test, MANOVA and ANOVA by SPSS package. The lifestyles of the respondents were classified into five types such as recreational-oriented, fashion-oriented, progressive-oriented, intentional purchasing, and economics-oriented type. And clothing benefits pursuit was classified into five types such as individuality-pursuit, brand-pursuit, convenience-pursuit, fashion -pursuit, and coordination/figure flaws compensation-pursuit. The result of this study were as follows; 1) All of three lifestyle groups of appearance-oriented type, fashion-oriented type, intentional purchasing type had an inclination for individuality-pursuit, brand-pursuit, fashion-pursuit, and not an inclination for convenience-pursuit. 2) The higher the fashion-oriented and intentional purchasing, and the lower the progressive-oriented and economics-oriented were, the higher was individuality-pursuit. 3) The higher progressive-oriented and the lower recreational-oriented were, the higher convenience-pursuit was. 4) The brand-pursuit, convenience-pursuit, and fashion-pursuit were not shown to have the significant differences according to intentional purchasing group.
