The sequence data of the plastid DNA (trnL-F IGS, trnL intron, and trnH-psbA) and nuclear DNA (RNApol2_i23) markers were utilized to study phylogenetic relationships among the taxa in the Polygonatum odoratum complex (Ruscaceae). European P. odoratum individuals form a clade with a high bootstrap value, which is a sister to the clade of Korean P. odoratum var. odoratum, P. odoratum var. pluriflorum and P. robustum. The formation of the clade with P. odoratum var. odoratum, P. robustum, and one accession of P. odoratum var. pluriflorum indicates geological speciation in isolated populations in the islands following dispersal events from the mainlands. All data sets form two major clades, which are congruent with the subgroups divided by the basic chromosome numbers (x = 9 and x = 10). Although it is not easy to test the hypothesis of the decrease in the basic chromosome number due to scatter taxon sampling in this study, the molecular data strongly suggested that aneuploidy plays an important role in lineage diversification in the genus Polygonatum. The cytological data was not strongly supported by the cpDNA sequences. Further investigations of the cytological, morphological, and geographical characteristics with comprehensive sampling are desired to understand the evolution and lineage diversification in the genus.
This study aims to explore emotional closeness between grandparents and grandchildren in Korean families with a focus on the lineage. The effects of the geographical proximity and the normative aspect as well as intergenerational financial, instrumental, and emotional supports were taken into consideration to accounting for the grandparent-grandchildren affective solidarity. Research questions are addressed using the data of "Survey on Generational Solidarity and Differences in Cultural Experience and Perception in Korea", and a series of multinomial regression model were conducted. Findings indicate that the salient factor to boost grandchildren's affective solidarity with paternal grandparents is financial transfers between grandparents and parents. By contrast, all types of intergenerational supports affected grandchildren's emotional closeness toward maternal grandparents. Geographical proximity was associated with the affective solidarity between grandchildren and maternal grandparents. The effects of normative solidarity were not shown at both lineages.
Background: Unusually high amounts of N region addition and CDR3 length diversity were found in immunoglobulin (Ig) light chain Vk and Jk joins in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). We sought to determine whether this finding is due to excessive activity of the enzyme responsible for N region addition (terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase [TdT]) in B lineage cells in bone marrow or from positive antigenic selection of B cells with long CDR3 lengths. Methods: We used FACS to isolate $IgM^+/IgD^+$ B cells (predominantly naive) and $IgM^-/IgD^-$ B cells (predominantly class-switched) B cells from peripheral blood of a patient with RA known to have enrichment for long Vk CDR3s and from that of two normal controls. RT-PCR of VkIII transcripts was performed, followed by sequencing of individual cDNA clones. We analyzed the CDR3 lengths and N region additions in 97 clones. Results: There was enrichment for long CDR3 lengths (11 or 12 amino acids) in both $IgM^+/IgD^+$ and $IgM^-/IgD^-$ B cells in RA compared to B cell subsets in the normal controls. The $IgM^+/IgD^+$ B cell subset in RA was markedly enriched for N region addition and was similar to that seen in the $IgM^-/IgD^-$ subset. Conclusion: These data suggest that enrichment for N region addition and long CDR3 lengths in RA may result from unusually high or prolonged activity of TdT in bone marrow.
Background: Data regarding childhood and adolescent non Hodgkin lymphomas in Iran are limited. The aim of this study was to assess the epidemiological and histomorphological features and survival of affected patients in our center. Materials and Methods: The clinicopathologic features and outcome of 44 children and adolescents with non Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosed during 2004-2012, were investigated retrospectively. The influence of potential prognostic parameters in overall survival was investigated by log-rank test and Cox regression analysis. Results: The mean age at presentation was $13.8{\pm}6.16$ years with a male predilection (M: F=3:1). Malignant lymphoma, not otherwise specified, diffuse large cell lymphoma and Burkitt lymphoma were the three most common histological types observed. The tumors were 36.4% intermediate grade, 27.3% high grade and 34.1% belonged to the malignant lymphoma not otherwise specified group. Immunohistochemistry findings were available in 39 cases. Out of these cases 33 (84.6%) had B cell lineage, 4 (10.25%) T cell lineage and 2 (5.12%) of the cases belonged to miscellaneous group. 3 year and 5 year survivals were 48% and 30% respectively and median survival was 36 months (95%CI=21.7-50.3 months). Overall survival in patients with high grade tumors was 19.5 months, in the intermediate group,79 months, and for malignant lymphomas not otherwise specified it was 33.6 months (p value=0.000). Conclusions: The survival rate for children and adolescents with non Hodgkin lymphomas at our center during 2004-2012 was at a low level.
This paper aims at studying on the medium of cultural interchange regarding who did and how to introduced the new trend of architecture during the period of Koryo Dynasty. Before the era of Koryo Dynasty, Kyungjang(Sutra Pitaka, 經藏) was mainly centered in Kyeongnu with a substantial function of storage. In the early Koryo Dynasty, however, Daejangjeon(大藏殿), which was spatialized for worship, began to appear. Normally, fixed walls were installed and the Sutras were enshrined inside Daejangjeon, while Jeonryunjang (revolving wheel sutras), a type of rational bookshelf, was introduced, and a new trend became developed in Kyungjang construction. Jeonryunjang(revolving wheel sutras, 轉輪藏) is a dharma instrument with a rotational function so that one revolution gives an effect of reading the enshrined Sutra one time, and began to be created actively in the period of the Northern Song. It is considered that the introduction of Jeonryunjang(revolving wheel sutras) to Daejangjeon was resulted from Haejokuksa(慧照國師) Damjin(曇眞) who visited the Kangnam areas in the Northern Song at that time. The Kangjeol areas in the Northern Song, where Damjin concentratively itinerated three times, were the place in which Jeonryunjang was created in many temples. Since Damjin, historical materials and excavated data regarding constructing Jeonryunjang have been discovered in the Buddhist temples, which are related to his pupils and dharma lineage. The only existing Jeonryunjang of Yongmusa Temple in Korea is the one that Joeung Daesunsa, who succeeded to the dharma lineage of Haesokuksa, promoted, and supports strongly such introduction of Jeonryunjang by Haesokuksa.
Coreanomecon is a monotypic and endemic genus in Korea, distributed mainly in the southern regions. Coreanomecon is morphologically similar to Hylomecon by producing red latex, easily distinguished from Chelidonium, which produces yellow latex. Coreanomecon were merged into Hylomecon or Chelidonium depending on the authors. To understand the phylogenetic relationship of Coreanomecon, DNA sequences of chloroplast rbcL and matK and nuclear Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) regions were determined from the species of Papaveroideae (Papaveraceae) in Korea and analyzed with the Maximum Parsimony and Bayesian methods. Phylogenetic analyses of Papaveroideae suggest that Coreanomecon is sister to the clade of Chelidonium and Stylophorum in the ITS data and that it is sister to Hylomecon in the chloroplast (cpDNA) data. A constraining analysis using the Shimodaira-Hasegawa test (S-H test) suggested that the ITS data do not reject the sister relationship of Coreanomecon and Hylomecon. The S-H test also suggested that the cpDNA data is compatible with the placement of Coreanomecon as a sister to the clade of Chelidonium and Stylophorum. Although the conflicting phylogenetic results may stem from insufficient phylogenetic signals, they may also be associated with hybridization between Hylomecon and an ancestor of Stylophorum and Chelidonium. The results of this study suggest that Coreanomecon is a distinct lineage as an endemic genus, supporting the morphological data.
As an organization or organization grows in size, many different types of data are being generated in different systems. There is a need for a way to improve efficiency by processing data smarter in different systems. Just like DataLake, we are creating a single domain model that accurately describes the data and can represent the most important data for the entire business. In order to realize the benefits of a DataLake, it is import to know how a DataLake may be expected to work and what components architecturally may help to build a fully functional DataLake. DataLake components have a life cycle according to the data flow. And while th data flows into a DataLake from the point of acquisition, its meta-data is captured and managed along with data traceability, data lineage, and security aspects based on data sensitivity across its life cycle. According to this reason, we have designed the DataLake Framework based on Abyss Storage Cluster.
This article is concerned with threshold modeling of the bifurcating autoregressive model (BAR) originally suggested by Cowan and Staudte (1986) for tree structured data of cell lineage study where each individual $(X_t)$ gives rise to two off-spring $(X_{2t},\;X_{2t+1})$ in the next generation. The triplet $(X_t,\;X_{2t},\;X_{2t+1})$ refers to mother-daughter relationship. In this paper we propose a threshold model incorporating the difference of 'fertility' of the mother for the first and second off-springs, and thereby extending BAR to threshold-BAR (TBAR, for short). We derive a sufficient condition of stationarity for the suggested TBAR model. Also various inferential methods such as least squares (LS), maximum likelihood (ML) and quasi-likelihood (QL) methods are discussed and relevant limiting distributions are obtained.

Anti-CALLA Fab-RTA immunotoxins were constructed using two crosslinking agent, SMPT and SMCC, to generate a disulfide and a thioether bridge between Fab fragment of K269-65 MoAb and RTA toxin moieties, respectively. These immunotoxins were selectively immunoreative with CALLA$\^$+/ B-lineage Daudi cells. SMPT and SMCC mediated RTA immunotoxins were prepared with 49% and 53% of the RTA conjugation yields, respectively. SDS-PAGE analysis show that immunotoxins were constructed with major Fab-1 RTA (76kda), minor Fab-2RTA (106kda) and Fab-3RTA (136kda) compositions. The breakdown rates of immunotoxins were determined in the presence of glutathione by measuring the amount of reduced immunotoxins using size-exclusion HPLC. The SMCC immunotoxins were more resistant to the glutathione than SMPT immunotoxins. But, our data showed that the SMPT mediated disulfide bonded immunotoxins were much more active than the SMCC mediated thioether bonded immunotoxins to kill the target cells in vitro.
