In this research, our objective is to develop a model which could evaluate the maintenance capability for a maintenance battalion in the mechanized division. To analyze the maintenance system, we obtained various data related to maintenance capability and described the maintenance process as a network type. This network type model is then translated to SLAM-II network model to simulate the system. The simulation model can be operated by using appropriate input data and simulation results are obtained. The simulation model can be applied in various way. Through the simulation we could find the bottle neck point in the maintenance process. Also the maximum capability of maintenance with on hand asset and the wartime supportability can be evaluated. The mode provides sensitivity analysis by changing various imput data such as the number of repairmen, repair time, failure rate and so on.

This research explores how the success of smart factory adoption is influenced by firm's dynamic capability. This research describes the underlying processes on how organizations manipulate or adapt organizational elements harmoniously to implement smart factory successfully. Although understanding of these processes is essential to many researchers and practitioners in the field, the information system research literature contains very few examples of this type. The research is conducted in the following sequence: first, the concept of dynamic capability is presented followed by research methodology; and then the analyses of case data are presented followed by discussions and future directions. The results of this research show that the firms with higher dynamic capability adopted smart factory more easily through alignment of various organizational elements.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of CEO technological capability on management performance and mediating role of firm's technological capability. The empirical data for this study are taken not from subjective studies released by companies but from the Korea Technology Guarantee Fund's(KTGF) technology assessment data. The result are as follows. First, CEO technological capability has a very significant and important influence on firm's technological capabilities and on technological performance(intellectual property rights(-), technology spillover effect(+)) and on management performance. Second, mediating role of firm's technological capability is revealed negatively only between CEO technological capability and intellectual property rights. Because of CEO technological capability has a significant influence on firm's technological capability and management performance, start-up based on expertise show a higher probability of success than the founder.

This study aims to assess the impact of competitive pressure and innovation capability on business performance in small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the batik industry in East Java, Indonesia. Furthermore, this study explores the impact of competitive pressure on business performance through innovation capability as a mediating variable. This research was quantitative using primary data with questionnaire as a method of sampling collection. The measurement of the variables was captured using Likert scale. The respondents were small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the batik industry in East Java Province, Indonesia. The sample totaled 254 subjects. The data analysis was done using SEM-PLS. The results of the study show that: 1) there was a positive direct impact of competitive pressure on business performance; 2) competition pressure positively influences innovation capability; 3) innovation capability positively influences business performance; and 4) innovation capability has a partial mediating role in the effect of competitive pressures on business performance. The findings of this study suggest that managers in SME's batik industry should increase their effort to cope with the high competitive pressure to increase the innovation capability, so that they can have an advantage to face successfully competitors, leading to higher business performance.

The purpose of this paper is to examine IT governance mediated the effect of human resource capability on information systems outsourcing success. The survey method was used for this paper, and data from a total of 108 companies that were listed greater than $10 million were used for the analysis. And structural equation model was used to analyze the data. The results of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, human resource capability do not have a direct effect on information systems outsourcing success but IT governance mediates the effect of human resource capability. Second, preparedness capability and relationship capability have positive effect on the IT governance. The findings have significant implications for IT governance in information systems outsourcing.

Purpose: This study aims at investigating how high-tech SMEs can enhance innovation performance through the application and distribution of social media strategic capability and whether entrepreneurial orientation moderates the relationship between social media strategic capability and innovation. Research design, data, and methodology: The study followed a deductive approach based on the quantitative design in investigating the proposed relationships. The data was collected using a questionnaire, and the proposed relationships were examined based on a sample of 221 high-tech SMEs through the application of structural equation modeling (SEM). By applying SEM, this study accounted for hidden and unobservable factors as well as reconciled the potential measurement errors. Results: As hypothesized, it was confirmed that social media strategic capability positively influences innovation performance. Besides, the findings supported the moderating effect of three dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation (innovativeness, proactiveness, and risk-taking) toward the relationship between social media strategic capability and innovation performance. Conclusions: According to the results, high-tech SMEs can enhance their innovation performance through social media by distributing and applying social media strategic capability along with entrepreneurial orientation. This study thereby enriches the literature of innovation on high-tech SMEs for implementing social media strategies as well as stimulating future social media research for entrepreneurship.

Purpose - The ability to meet the high demand for education in Nigeria is lacking, making the region remain backwards in education. Given this reason, the study investigates the role of innovation capability in the relationship between intellectual capital and competitive advantage in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Research design, data, and methodology - The study is cross-sectional research, a total of 427 questionnaires were administered to respondents. The study distributed its questionnaire across 12 faculties at the University of Ibadan using a random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using ADANCO 2.1.1. Result - The study reveals that human capital, structural capital, relational capital, and innovation capability positively affect competitive advantage. Innovation capability mediates the relationship between human capital and relational capital. However, structural capital was not mediated by innovation capability. Conclusion - The study concludes that intellectual capitals and innovation capability are crucial to maintaining a competitive advantage over their peers. Achieving more significant success in the variables mentioned earlier will help Nigeria's tertiary institutions compete locally and internationally.

This research examines the effects of organizational learning and network involvement, as well as many contextual factors, on power generation businesses' innovation capability and operational success in Vietnam. This research also aims to attest to the moderating roles of top management support and company age, and firm possession type in the power generation industry. This study applied the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and PLS-SEM approach for data analysis. In this research, we have tested hypotheses with data collected from 132 top managers and other key personnel from power generation companies in Vietnam. The results also attest to the moderating role of top management support on the two relationships between organizational learning - innovation capability and network involvement - innovation capability. Another important finding is that the company age has a negative impact on operational performance but shows a positive moderating role in the relationship between innovation capability and operational performance. This study highlights the central roles of organizational learning and innovation capability in impacting the organizational performance of power generation companies. These companies play a key role in supporting the development of industries in practice. This research also emphasizes the moderating roles of top management support and company age and possession type in practice.

All of the military aircrafts in Korea Air Force are administered and operated together in the same system regardless of whether they are equipped with the data communication capability or not. The absence of the data communication capability in some of the aircrafts might increase whole kill chain hour at the point of the Network Centric Warfare achievement. Network synergy effects cannot also be desired if the section which is not connected to the network influences to the whole tactical network. Equipping aircrafts with the data communication capability could be done by upgrading the aircrafts, but resulting in high costs and long updating time. This paper is a research about the design and implementation of the UMPC based Data Link System to aircrafts that do not have the data communication capability. The proposed system grafts the UHF-based wireless modem technology and the aircraft flight mission support software onto the off-the-shelf UMPC and GPS system. The employed UHF radio equipment allows communicating tactic data with another aircrafts on the air, the ground control point, and even the Tactical Air Control Party(TACP) control vehicle that achieve missions with aircrafts. It thereby increases such capabilities as navigation aid, situation awareness, quick target identification and attack. We also applied Closed Air Support(CAS) scenarios, which is very close to the real environment, to the experiments of the proposed system. The experimental results show that the proposed system could support the data communication capability effectively and the flight mission at low costs of money and time.

Quality characteristics on the properties of process capability indices (PCIs) are often required to be normally distributed. But, if a characteristic is not normally distributed, serious errors can result from normal-based techniques. In this case, we may well consider the use of new PCIs specially designed to be robust for non-normality. In this paper, a newly proposed measure of process capability is introduced and compared with existing PCIs using the simulated non-normal data.
