The aerodynamic behaviour of a CRH high-speed train under three infrastructure scenarios (flat ground, embankment, and viaduct) in the presence of a crosswind was simulated using a 1/8th scaled train model with three cars and the IDDES framework. The time-averaged and instantaneous flow field around the model were examined. The employed numerical algorithm was verified through a wind tunnel test, and the grid and timestep resolution analyses were conducted to ensure the reliability of the data. It was noted that the flow around the rail line was different under different infrastructure scenarios, especially in the case of the embankment, which degraded the aerodynamic performance of the train under the crosswind. The flow around the train on the flat ground and viaduct was different, although the aerodynamic performance of the train was similar in both cases. Moreover, the viaduct accidents were noted to have the most critical consequences, thereby requiring the most attention. The aerodynamic performance of the train on the windward track of the embankment under the crosswind was worse than that of the train on the leeward track. But for the other two infrastructure scenarios, the aerodynamic performance of the train on the windward track is relatively dangerous, which is mainly caused by the head car. These observations suggest that the aerodynamic behaviour of the train on an embankment under a crosswind must be carefully considered and that certain wind protection measures must be adopted around rail lines in windy areas.

The effect of indoor air pollution on the human body is greater and more dangerous than outdoor air pollution. In general, a person stays indoors for a long time, and in a closed room, pollutants are continuously accumulated and the polluted air is better delivered to the lungs. Especially in the case of young children, it is very sensitive to indoor air and it is fatal. In addition, methods to reduce indoor air pollution, which cannot be ventilated with more frequent indoor activities and continuously increasing external fine dust due to Covid 19, are becoming more important. In order to improve the problems of the existing autonomous driving air purifying robot, this paper divided the map and Upper Confidence bounds applied to Trees(UCT) based algorithm to solve the problem of the autonomous driving robot not sterilizing a specific area or staying in one space continuously, and the problem of children who are vulnerable to indoor air pollution. We propose a space-adaptive autonomous driving air purifying robot for a green smart school that can be improved.

We propose a network node search scheme to address the network fragmentation due to high node mobility in the VANET. VANET is very similar to MANET in that a multi-hop ad-hoc network is configured by wireless communication between vehicles without any network infrastructure. However, high speed mobility, high node density, and frequent topology change induce frequent network fragmentation so that overall network traffic can be increased. In this paper, new broadcasting protocol called an adaptive relay node search protocol is proposed to decrease the network fragmentation. It reduces the network fragmentation and network traffic by researching nodes outside the dangerous area only in case of network fragmentation. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol decreases network fragmentation by up to 39.9% and increase informed rate by up to 41.9% compared to the existing broadcasting protocol.

As fatal accidents due to industrial accidents and deaths due to civil accidents were pointed out as social problems, the Act on Punishment of Serious Accidents Occurred in the Workplace was enacted to ensure the safety of citizens and to prevent serious accidents in advance. Effort is required. In this paper, we propose a distance prediction model in relation to the case where an operator is hit by heavy equipment such as a forklift. For the data, actual forklift trucks and workers roaming environments were directly captured by CCTV, and it was conducted based on the Euclidean distance. It is thought that it will be possible to learn YOLO-v4 by directly building a data-set at the industrial site, and then implement a model that predicts the distance and determines whether it is a dangerous situation, which can be used as basic data for a comprehensive risk situation judgment model.

System reliability prediction in the development stage is increasingly crucial to reliability growth management to satisfy its target reliability, since modern system usually takes a form of complex composition and various complicated functions. In most cases of development stage, however, the information available for system reliability prediction is very limited, making it difficult to predict system reliability more precisely as in the production and operating stages. In this study, a system reliability prediction process is considered when the reliability-related information such as SIL (Safety Integrity Level) and MTTFd (Mean Time to Dangerous Failure) is available in the development stage. It is suggested that when the SIL or MTTFd of a system component is known and the field operational data of similar system is given, the reliability prediction could be performed using the scaling factor for the SIL or MTTFd value of the component based on the similar system's field operational data analysis. Predicting a system reliability is then adjusted with the conversion factor reflecting the temperature condition of the environment in which the system actually operates. Finally, the case of applying the proposed system reliability prediction process to a high performance mooring platform is dealt with.

In the event of an emergency such as facility shutdown during process operation, the by-product gas must be urgently discharged to the vent stack to prevent leakage, fire, and explosion. At this time, the explosion drop value of the released by-product gas is calculated using ISO 10156 formula, which is 27.7 vol%. Therefore, it does not correspond to flammable gas because it is less than 13% of the explosion drop value, which is the standard for flammable gas defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and since the explosion drop value is high, it can be seen that the risk of fire explosion is low even if it is discharged urgently with the vent stock. As a result of calculating the range of explosion hazard sites for hydrogen gas discharged to the Bent Stack according to KS C IEC 60079-10-1, 23 meters were calculated. Since hydrogen is lighter than air, electromechanical devices should not be installed within 23 meters of the upper portion of the Bent Stack, and if it is not possible, an explosion-proof electromechanical device suitable for type 1 of dangerous place should be installed. In addition, the height of the stack should be at least 5 meters so that the diffusion of by-product gas is facilitated in case of emergency discharge, and it should be installed so that there are no obstacles around it.
The Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) disc cutter is subjected to wear and damage during the rock excavation process, and the worn disc cutter should be replaced on time. The manual inspection by workers is generally required to determine the disc cutter replacement. In this case, the workers are exposed to dangerous environments, and the measurements are sometimes inaccurate. In this study, we developed a technology that measures the disc cutter wear in real time. From a series of laboratory tests, a magnetic sensor was selected as the wear sensor, and the real-time disc cutter measurement system was developed integrating wireless communication modules, power supply and data processing board. In addition, the measurement system was verified in actual TBM excavation circumstances. As a result, it was confirmed that the accuracy and stability of the system.

This study intended to develop a technique for quantitatively and 3-dimensionally predicting the potential failure zone and impulse that may occur when trees are fall down. The main outcomes of this study are as follows. First, this study established the potential failure zone and impulse calculation formula in order to quantitatively calculate the risks generated when trees are fallen down. When estimating the potential failure zone, the calculation was performed by magnifying the height of trees by 1.5 times, reflecting the likelihood of trees falling down and slipping. With regard to the slope of a tree, the range of 360° centered on the root collar was set in the case of trees that grow upright and the range of 180° from the inclined direction was set in the case of trees that grow inclined. The angular momentum was calculated by reflecting the rotational motion from the root collar when the trees fell down, and the impulse was calculated by converting it into the linear momentum. Second, the program to calculate a potential failure zone and impulse was developed using Rhino3D and Grasshopper. This study created the 3-dimensional models of the shapes for topography, buildings, and trees using the Rhino3D, thereby connecting them to Grasshopper to construct the spatial information. The algorithm was programmed using the calculation formula in the stage of risk calculation. This calculation considered the information on the trees' growth such as the height, inclination, and weight of trees and the surrounding environment including adjacent trees, damage targets, and analysis ranges. In the stage of risk inquiry, the calculation results were visualized into a three-dimensional model by summarizing them. For instance, the risk degrees were classified into various colors to efficiently determine the dangerous trees and dangerous areas.
There was much mass movement at many different mountain side of Peong Chang area in Kwangwon province by the influence of heavy rainfall through August/4 5, 1979. This study have done with the fact observed through the field survey and the information of the former researchers. The results are as follows; 1. Heavy rainfall area with more than 200mm per day and more than 60mm per hour as maximum rainfall during past 6 years, are distributed in the western side of the connecting line through Hoeng Seong, Weonju, Yeongdong, Muju, Namweon and Suncheon, and of the southern sea side of KeongsangNam-do. The heavy rain fan reason in the above area seems to be influenced by the mouktam range and moving direction of depression. 2. Peak point of heavy rainfall distribution always happen during the night time and seems to cause directly mass movement and serious damage. 3. Soil mass movement in Peongchang break out from the course sandy loam soil of granite group and the clay soil of lime stone and shale. Earth have moved along the surface of both bedrock or also the hardpan in case of the lime stone area. 4. Infiltration seems to be rapid on the both bedrock soil, the former is by the soil texture and the latter is by the crumb structure, high humus content and dense root system in surface soil. 5. Topographic pattern of mass movement spot is mostly the concave slope at the valley head or at the upper part of middle slope which run-off can easily come together from the surrounding slope. Soil profile of mass movement spot has wet soil in the lime stone area and loose or deep soil in the granite area. 6. Dominant slope degree of the soil mass movement site has steep slope, mostly, more than 25 degree and slope position that start mass movement is mostly in the range of the middle slope line to ridge line. 7. Vegetation status of soil mass movement area are mostly fire field agriculture area, it's abandoned grass land, young plantation made on the fire field poor forest of the erosion control site and non forest land composed mainly grass and shrubs. Very rare earth sliding can be found in the big tree stands but mostly from the thin soil site on the un-weatherd bed rock. 8. Dangerous condition of soil mass movement and land sliding seems to be estimated by the several environmental factors, namely, vegetation cover, slope degree, slope shape and position, bed rock and soil profile characteristics etc. 9. House break down are mostly happen on the following site, namely, colluvial cone and fan, talus, foot area of concave slope and small terrace or colluvial soil between valley and at the small river side Dangerous house from mass movement could be interpreted by the aerial photo with reference of the surrounding site condition of house and village in the mountain area 10. As a counter plan for the prevention of mass movement damage the technics of it's risk diagnosis and the field survey should be done, and the mass movement control of prevention should be started with the goverment support as soon as possible. The precautionary measures of house and village protection from mass movement damage should be made and executed and considered the protecting forest making around the house and village. 11. Dangerous or safety of house and village from mass movement and flood damage will be indentified and informed to the village people of mountain area through the forest extension work. 12. Clear cutting activity on the steep granite site, fire field making on the steep slope, house or village construction on the dangerous site and fuel collection in the eroded forest or the steep forest land should be surely prohibited When making the management plan the mass movement, soil erosion and flood problem will be concidered and also included the prevention method of disaster.
In gas industries, the potential risks of serious accidents have been increased due to high technology application and process complexities. Especially, in case of gas-related accidents, the extent of demage is out of control since gas plants handle and produce combustible, flammable, explosive and toxic materials in large amounts. The characteristics of this kind of disaster is that accident frequency is low, while the impact of damage is high, extending to the neighboring residents, environment and related industries as well as employees involved. The hydrogen gases treated important things and it used the basic material of chemical plants and industries. Since 2000, this gas stood in the spotlight the substitution energy for reduction of the global warming in particular however it need to compress high pressure(more than 150 bar.g) and store by using the special cylinders due to their low molecular weight. And this gas led to many times the fire and explosion due to leak of it. To reduce these kinds of risks and accidents, it is necessary to improve the new safety management system through a risk management after technically evaluating potential hazards in this process. This study is to carry out the quantitative risk assesment for hydrogen filling plant which are very dangerous(fire and explosive) and using a basic materials of general industries. As a results of this risk assessment, identified the elements important for safety(EIS) and suggested the practical management tools and verified the reliability of this risk assessment model through case study of accident.
