  • This paper proposes a compensating algorithm of a measurement torrent transformer (CT) using DSP. The core flux is calculated and then magnetizing current is estimated in accordance with the flux-magnetizing current curve. The core loss current is obtained with the core loss resistance and the secondary voltage. The correct secondary current is estimated by adding the exciting current to the measured secondary current. The performance of the proposed algorithm was tested using EMTP generated data. The experiment on the real CT was conducted using the prototype compensated system based on a digital signal processor. The results indicate that the algorithm can increase the accuracy of the measurement CT significantly.

  • Very Long Instruction Word (VLIW) executes multiple instructions in parallel. In order to exploit higher performance, i.e., higher parallelism, VLIW compiler groups as many instructions into one word as possible. In this paper, we show how to construct a VLIW C compiler based on GCC for CDSP32 (Compact Digital Signal Processor 32-bit) which is an embedded DSP processor to issue two instructions in one VLIW. Also, we evaluated the compiler on EEMBC benchmark; the experiment result showed that the total number of dynamic instructions of the VLIW compiler was reduced by 18% on average over without VLIW instruction scheduling.

  • 분산진원으로서 연료전지 발전장치는 100w부터 수백[kw]의 용량을 가지며 종전의 대규모 전력설비와 비교하여 높은 신뢰도를 갖는 고품질의 전력을 공급할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 소형 분산전원으로서 PEMFC(polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell)연료전지 발전장치에 대한 PSIM(power electronics simulation tool) 모델을 설정하고 이를 바탕으로 DSP(digital signal processor)기반의 연료전지 하드웨어 시뮬레이터를 구현하였다. 연료전지 전류와 출력전압과의 관계는 연료전지의 전압-전류(V-I) 곡선 중 ohmic영역에서 1차 함수로 간략화 하였다. 구현된 시스템은 PEMFC 하드웨어 시뮬레이터, 절연형 풀 브리지 직류 부스트 컨버터 그리고 60[Hz] PWM인버터로 구성되어있다. 부하변동 및 과도상태에 대한 연료전지 하드웨어 시뮬레이터의 전압-전류-전력(V-I-P) 특성을 파악하였으며, 저항 부하 및 비선형 부하에 대한 전력변환기의 60[Hz] 정현파 교류출력 전압파형을 고찰하였다.

앱기반 전기화재 예측시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of App-Based Electric Fire Prediction System)

  • 현재 전기화재 예측시스템은 제어용 마이크로프로세서로서 PIC(Peripheral Interface Controller)를 사용하고 있다. PIC는 DSP(Digital Signal Processor)보다 연산속도가 느려 실시간 연산능력이 부족하다. 그래서 아크 발생 시 나타나는 기본 특성파형을 기준 reference로 하여 이 reference와의 비교를 통해 아크로 인한 전기화재를 예측하여 경보한다. 기존의 전기화재 예측시스템은 이러한 경보를 원격의 중앙 서버에서 감시하고 후속 조치를 취할 수 있으나, 그 예측 에러율이 높을 뿐만 아니라, mobile 환경에서 원격제어를 하지 못하는 실정이다. 본 논문에서 시간영역, 주파수영역의 아크검출과 적응알고리즘을 변환영역에서 수행하는 웨이블릿 기반의 적응알고리즘"을 적용하여 새로운 실시간 아크검출 알고리즘이 탑재된 전기화재 예측시스템을 DSP를 이용하여 개발하였다. 또한 아크의 전기적 신호 및 전력품질 대한 원격 모니터링이 실시간으로 가능할 뿐만 아니라, iphone 환경기반의 App 개발을 통해 원격에서 제어가 가능하도록 구축하고 그 유용성을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, a software-based Digital Radio Modiale(DRM) receiver is implemented on a Digital Signal Processor(DSP). DRM stands for the European radio broadcasting standard to bring AM radio into digital radio, designed to work at frequencies below 30MHz. DRM can offer various data services such as text messaging and slideshow services as well as audio services. The DRM receiver implemented on the Tensilica DSP core performs well at low signal strength indication of -102dBm.

  • This paper is aiming at implementation of real-time speaker verification system using DSP board. Dialog/4, which is based on microprocessor and DSP processor, is selected to easily control telephone signals and to process audio/voice signals. Speaker verification system performs signal processing and feature extraction after receiving voice and its ID. Then through computing the likelihood ratio of claimed speaker model to the background model, it makes real-time decision on acceptance or rejection. For the verification experiments, total 15 speaker models and 6 background models are adopted. The experimental results show that verification accuracy rates are 99.5% for using telephone speech-based speaker models.

  • This paper describes an implementation of the DSP(Digital Signal Processor) based triangular carrier frequency modulated RPWM inverter drive system. The power spectrum of the noise emitted from the induction motor was measured in the anechoic chamber. The analysis of the sources for the acoustic noise and the effects of the noise reduction are confirmed by the measured spectra of the noise. Real-time RPWM along with the speed control was achieved by high speed DSP. By changing the center frequency and the bandwidth of the carrier, the proposed real-time RPWM scheme can be used as an efficient switching frequency band acoustic noise reduction method for the inverter drive system with variant load conditions.

  • This paper proposes a Dual Controller System for Precision Control (DCSPC) for control of the gripper. The DCSPC consists of two subsystems, CDSP (Controller based DSP) and CARM (Controller based ARM processor). The CDSP is developed on a DSP processor and controls the gripping motor and LVDT. In particular, the CARM is implemented using Linux and ARM processor according to recent research related to open-source. The robot for high-precision assembly is divided into the robot control and the gripper control section and controls CARM and CDSP systems respectively. In this paper, we also proposed and measured the performance of communication API. As a result, it is expected to recognize improvements in communication between CARM and the robot controller, and will continue to conduct relevant research among other commercial robot controllers.

도로 소음 저감을 위한 능동소음제어 시스템의 개발 및 기초실험 (Development and Basic Experiment of Active Noise Control System for Reduction of Road Noise)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is about noise which is generated from roads and is consist of irregular frequency variation from low frequency to various band. The existing methods of noise reduction are sound barrier that uses insulation material and absorbing material or have applied passive technology of noise reduction by devices. The total frequency band is needed to apply active noise control. METHODS : In this study applies to the field of road traffic environment, signal processing controller and various analog signal input/output, the amplifier module is based on parallel-core embedded processor designed. DSP performs the control algorithm of the road traffic noise. Noise sources in the open space performance of evaluation were applied. In this study, controller of active signal processor was designed based on the module of audio input/output and main controller of embedded process. The controller of active signal processor operates noise reduction algorithm and performance tests of noise reduction in inside and outside environment were executed. RESULTS : The signal processing controller with OMAP-L137 parallel-core processors as the center, DSP processors in the active control operations dealt with quickly. To maximize the operation speed of an object and ARM processor is external function keys and display for functions and evaluating the performance management system was designed for the purpose of the interface. Therefore the reduction of road traffic noise has established an electronic controller-based noise reduction. CONCLUSIONS : It is shown that noise reduction is effective in the case of pour tonal sound and complex tonal sound below 500Hz by appling to Fx-LMS.

DSP를 이용한 부스트 컨버터의 전류 제어기 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Current Controller for Boost Converters Using a DSP)

  • This paper introduces a method for design and implementation of a current controller for boost converter operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM) using a digital signal processor (DSP). A Proportional-Integral (PI) type current controller outputs an average voltage command for inductor, used in the input side of the boost converter, and the duty-ratio of PWM (pulse width modulation) signal for switching device is directly calculated from the average voltage command. The gains of the PI current controller are selected such that the current response characteristics are the same as those of a first-order low-pass filter. The proposed current control scheme is implemented using a DSP based on fixed-point math operations and an experimental study has been performed to validate the proposed method.
