Input Current Harmonic Reduction of Inverer TIG Welder (인버터 TIG용접기의 전원전류 고조파 저감)

  • In this paper we proposed AC/DC boost converter to improve input current harmonic reduction in TIG welder. The proposed harmonic reduction circuit with UC2854AN acting on constant switching frequency average current control has a three-loop control structure : the inner current loop the line voltage feed-forward loop and th outer voltage loop. Also we applied the constant current strategy on full bridge IGBT inverter to stabilized the output current using the analog PI controller. To demonstrate the practical significance of the proposed methods some simulation studies and experimental results are presented.

  • 본 논문은 DC전원을 AC전원으로 변환시키는 인버터 중 기존의 히스테리시스 전류제어방식과 제시된 히스테리시스 전류 제어방식에서 기준 전류가 증가 할 경우의 히스테리시스 오퍼레이터와 기준 전류가 감소 할 경우의 히스테리시스 오퍼레이터 두 개의 히스테리시스 오퍼레이터를 가지는 히스테리시스 전류 제어 방식을 제안하고 그것들의 시뮬레이션을 해보고, 이 두 가지 방식의 스위칭 손실 감소의 차이를 비교 분석을 한 것이 논문의 주제이다.

  • In this paper, a unified regenerative inverter system for railway with DC line voltage simulator is proposed. In order to determine the operation characteristics of the regenerative inverter, the DC line voltage simulator is proposed. The DC line voltage simulator, which is based on the AC-DC PWM converter, varies the DC voltage according to the fluctuating voltage which is measured in the actual DC line. The suitable operating point of the regenerative inverter can be estimated from the simulation result. The regenerative inverter operates two modes. When the DC line voltage exceed the operating point, already set up, it works as regenerative inverter to return the excessive power of DC line to the grid. When the DC line voltage is under the operating point, it works as active power filter to compensate harmonic currents. In this paper, the control algorithm of the DC line voltage simulator and that of the regenerative inverter is proposed.

  • The control system of high-precision AC power is important in traffic management lighting and beaconing of aerodromes, etc. To control AC power supply in these load characteristics, inverter systems of AC/DC/AC conversion are widely used in high-precision current control. Therefore, in this paper, a inverter system of constant current regulation using improved measuring technique of feedback current is proposed. Proposed measuring techniques improve response and precision in that it use moving average method of instantaneous RMS for measuring current sensing. Results of the computer simulation and experiment prove the effects of proposed system.

  • when electric traction system used DC 1500V runs on decline of rail road track and slows down, dc voltage goes beyond regular voltage. In this case extra power is forcibly wasted by resister because rectifier of substation and electric train including power converter and so on are out of order. This paper described a DC electric railway system, which can generate the excessive DC power form DC bus line to AC source in substation for traction system. The purpose of this study was the development of the regenerative inverter system which suppress extra DC-line voltage and regenerate the energy instead of using a resister. That is Developed regenerative inverter system returns the regenerative energy from the DC line voltage to the utility. In addition, the inverter can be compensate the harmonics caused by the power conversion devices used in the DC traction system.

  • The industrial products to use single phase inverter are raised the necessity of power quality improvement, such as AC Motor Driver, Lighting, Renewable energy power converter. Also, it is increasing that applied the single phase multilevel inverter for high quality power at renewable energy power converter. Especially, the photovoltaic multilevel inverters have at least more than two DC_Link and more than one DC/DC Converter. This paper proposes a triple output DC/DC Converter with one switch for photovoltaic multilevel inverter. The proposed converter has advantages of low cost and volume because it has one switch. The operation principle of the converter is analyzed and verified. A prototype is implemented to verify of the proposed converter.

  • A new scheme of the automotive High Intensity Discharge (HlD) lamp ballast systems is proposed. The p proposed scheme consists of the high frequency IX DC converter and the low frequency DC-AC inverter, like t that the conventional HID ballast system. However, this system separates the input voltage of the ignitor from t the dc link voltage, which results in the use of lower voltage rating power devices for the HID lamp ballast s system, comparlu with convention띠 system. As a result, proposed system has a lower cost and higher e efficiency. This paper presents th$\varepsilon$ design and anlaysis of the propoSlU ballast and some 앉아、nmental results.

  • The variable frequency and variable voltage AC source made by a conventional inverter which is composed of power semi-conductors includes much noises in sine wave due to high frequency switching of DC source. In this paper the 3rd low pass LC filter for a variable speed 3 phase induction motor driven by a full bridge inverter is introduced to solve the EMI problem by serious noise current. The utility of a modified 3rd order Butterworth LC filter is confirmed through FFT analysis of sine waves and noiseless ACsource can be obtained by the proposed LC filter. The speed of a 3 phase induction motor driven by a full bridge inverter with a LC filter is satisfactorily controlled by a digital PID controller under the condition of stepwise load and setpoint changes.

  • The recent use of distributed power generation systems constructed with DC-DC converters has become extremely popular owing to the rising need for environment friendly energy generation power systems. In this study, a new single-phase five-level inverter for off-grid applications constructed with a multilevel DC-DC step-up converter is proposed to boost a low-level DC voltage (36 V-64 V) to a high-level DC bus (380 V) and invert and connect them with a single-phase 230 V rms AC load. Compared with other traditional multilevel inverters, the proposed five-level inverter has a reduced number of switching devices, can generate high-quality power with lower THD values, and has balanced voltage stress for DC capacitors. Moreover, the proposed topology does not require multiple DC sources. Finally, the performance of the proposed topology is presented through the simulation and experimental results of a 400 W hardware prototype.

Low-Cost Single-Phase to Three-Phase AC/DC/AC PWM Converters for Induction Motor Drives (유도전동기 구동을 위한 저가형 단상-3상 AC/DC/AC PWM 컨버터)

  • In this paper, a single-phase to three-phase PWM converter topology using a single-phase half-bridge PWM rectifier and a 2-leg inverter for low cost three-phase induction motor drives is proposed. In addition, the source voltage sensor is eliminated with a state observer which controls the deviation between the model current and the system current to be zero. The converter topology is of lower cost than the conventional one, which gives sinusoidal input current, unity power factor, dc output voltage control, bidirectional power flow and VVVF output voltage. The experimental results for V/F control of 3Hp induction motor drives have been shown.
