Basic Research for Construction Standard Unit Price and BIM library Linkage (표준시장단가 및 BIM 라이브러리 연계 활용에 관한 기초연구)

  • With the recent emergence of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the government is promoting the development of smart construction technology and institutional improvement through various policies to induce cutting-edge and technological innovation in the construction industry. As part of such smart construction technology, the application of BIM is being activated, and related regulations and guidelines are constantly being supplemented. In relation to BIM, there are many studies on the fields of library, design standards etc., but research on specific unit price utilization and unit price DB construction for calculating construction cost is insufficient. Therefore, in this study, a basic study was conducted on the linkage of the construction standard market unit price and the BIM library. Based on the basic research conducted in the future, we intend to establish specific standards for calculating BIM-based construction costs.

A Case Study on the Construction of the Sampling Frame and Sampling Design for 2008 Seoul Survey (2008 서울서베이 표본추출틀 구축 및 표본추출 사례 연구)

  • For a survey research in which the characteristics of the population of interest are investigated from a sample, representativeness of the sampling frame is one of the most important part to be considered. If the sampling frame fails to represent the population properly, statistical procedures based on the even efficient sampling design result in significant nonsampling biases and thus the statistical validities of the results could be damaged. But the construction of the reliable sampling frame that covers the population properly costs money and time and thus the sampling frame based on a census or a large scale survey is often used in practice. For example, the sampling frame based on the population households census is used for many household surveys in Korea. But due to the time difference between the census and a survey of interest, the sampling frame constructed from the census is expected to fail to cover the population of interest. Especially, one could expect a large amount of population and household movement in a large city like Seoul. Thus in our research, we considered the construction of new sampling frame and the procedure of sample selection for 2008 Seoul survey. We analyzed the sampling frame based on 2005 population households census and found that it does not represent the population properly. Thus, we proposed a new sampling frame based on resident registration DB for 2008 Seoul survey. We also proposed the sampling weights and estimator of the population mean based on the sample selected from the newly constructed sampling frame.

Total Information System for Urban Regeneration : City and District Level Decline Diagnostic System (도시재생 종합정보시스템 구축 - 시군구단위 쇠퇴진단시스템 구현을 중심으로 -)

  • In order to achieve an efficient urban regeneration of the nation, it is required to determine the extent of decline nation-wide and the declined areas for each district and also to evaluate the potentials of the concerned areas. For this task to be accomplished, a construction of a comprehensive diagnostic system based on spatial information considering diversity and complexity is required. In this study, a total information system architecture for urban regeneration is designed as part of the construction of such a diagnostic system. In order to develop the system, a city and district level unit decline diagnostic indicators has been constructed and a decline diagnostic system has been developed. Also, a scheme to promote the advancement of the system is proposed. The DB construction is based on the city and district level nation-wide and metadata for the concerned level is constructed as well. The system is based on the Open API and designed to be flexible for extension. Also, an RIA-based intuitive UI has been implemented. Main features of the system consist of the management of the indicators, diagnostic analysis (city and district level decline diagnosis), related information, etc. As for methods for the advancement, an information model in consideration of the spation relations of the urban regeneration DB has been designed and application methods of semantic webs. Also, for improvement methods for district unit analytical model, district level analysis models, GIS based spatial analysis platforms and linked utiliation of KOPSS analysis modules are suggested. A use of a total information system for urban regeneration is anticipated to facilitate concerned policy making through the identification of the status of city declines to identify and the understanding of the demands for regeneration.

  • This paper is to evaluate the informational direction, current situations and ERP establishment concerning constructing industry, to present the right directions, implemented cases for implementing constructional ERP, also to suggest the effect, influence, problems and shootings in constructional ERP arena. The constructing industries in korea are facing great turning point because of the huge corruptions currently happened and forcing to open the market in 1997. Attempting to establish Computer Integrated construction system (ERP) by breaking down constructing cost, improving quality, operating rapid and effective construction to enhance productivity, it is hard to achieve the goal with only inter-contractor's establishment. Constructing industries are integrated ones, consisted of many organizations for instance ordering agencies, contractors, subcontractors, material vendors, etc. and use various information formats such as texts, graphics, drawings. I dare suggest that implementation of constructional CALS including EDI/EC, GIS is tile only solution to control the information systematically generated in whole stages from planing, designing, constructing through maintenance, and to supply or switch the information.

  • The objective of this study regards the preceding condition of the construction disposal of waste which is appropriate, with occurrence quantity DB anger the occurrence quantity prediction which is accurate the regression model which it sees and with the method which is mote accurate prediction method of existing than to sleep it presents it does. This study acquires apartment results data of public construction and civil construction, and chose factor that exert biggest influence on the waste occurrence amount through question and interview memorial address by regression model variable. And presented regression mode] which uses statistics program named SPSS. Automated Vision-based Construction Object Detection Using Active Learning (액티브 러닝을 활용한 영상기반 건설현장 물체 자동 인식 프레임워크)

  • Over the last decade, many researchers have investigated a number of vision-based construction object detection algorithms for the purpose of construction site monitoring. However, previous methods require the ground truth labeling, which is a process of manually marking types and locations of target objects from training image data, and thus a large amount of time and effort is being wasted. To address this drawback, this paper proposes a vision-based construction object detection framework that employs an active learning technique while reducing manual labeling efforts. For the validation, the research team performed experiments using an open construction benchmark dataset. The results showed that the method was able to successfully detect construction objects that have various visual characteristics, and also indicated that it is possible to develop the high performance of an object detection model using smaller amount of training data and less iterative training steps compared to the previous approaches. The findings of this study can be used to reduce the manual labeling processes and minimize the time and costs required to build a training database.

  • This study aims to development of web-based process management system for spatial data construction. For developing this system work classification of basic surveying was standardized and quality management method for spatial data was established. Production process and work classification system for basic surveying such as control point surveying using GPS, leveling, aerial photographing, digital mapping, topographic mapping, digital elevation modeling, aerial photographic DB construction and digital orthophotomap was standardized. The status of the output and quality inspection for basic surveying project were analyzed, and the elements of quality inspection and data format for the type of outputs were analyzed. Based on standardized and analyzed contents, web-based process management system was developed after database and process was designed. The process management system consisted of process management, quality control, metadata management, and system management.

  • Urban transit is one of the most effective ways for efficient operation and construction of an urban transit by composition system which is liked originally such as rolling-stock, power, signal and infrastructure. Urban rail transit system is running in domestic, imports major equipments from advanced countries and setup for maintenance. But it takes long time because it does each organizations and lines. Also, signal, power and track system apply different standard by each construction organizations it causes an increasing construction of cost accordingly it desperately needs a systematic countermeasure. Therefore standard specification of urban transit have been establishing and operatingfor efficient operation of urban transit and base technology security that is populace ride to become a base of state economy. After track, power and signal system will be announced. Standard specification become more, the importance of administrationof standards is emphasized more. Specification administrator’s the importance which use a computing support tool recently in railroad part in embossed and is predicted to be more such forward. Therefore we propose the effective method of management with track, power signal system by constructed data-base system.

  • The new paradigm called 'Low Carbon Green Growth' involved in reducing greenhouse gas is on the rise as a critical issue worldwide. The essential of Kyoto protocol issued in 1997 is to achieve the sustainable economic growth environments by converting existing production system to eco-friendly one. The protocol imposes the liability to reduce greenhouse gas to the countries joined to it. The paradigm is directly involved in the energy consumption and environmental pollution caused by construction activities. Value Engineering which are mainly applied in the design phase in practice is a measure to improve the value of a constructed facility by analyzing and/or appraising the functions and costs of it. However, an appropriate method which assesses eco-friendliness of constructed facility has not been propose by researchers. This paper proposes a method which assesses the performance involved in eco-friendliness of constructed facility using Value Engineering (VE) in the design phase. The method estimates the environmental cost relative to the amounts of energy consumption and environmental pollution occurred over the entire project life cycle. The database called "Life Cycle Inventory DB", which stores information about the amounts of environmental pollution, is used. The algorithm which retrieves the amounts of environmental pollutions from the DB and converts them into environmental costs is developed. The algorithm is implemented into a system which quantifies the eco-friendliness of constructed facility in the design phase using VE.

  • Recent years, the construction projects of a world-wide have changed toward integrated evaluation considering all environmental and economic aspect for ecological construction.. The object of this study is to suggest the method and system for integrated analysis VE/LCC and LCA. In order to integrate and analyze environmental and economic aspects of alternative design elements, decision maker should handle simultaneously much information such as cost, document and drawing. This study presents applicative methods of WBS for integrated management of these information. Also, this study presents a decision support system that can manage DB easily by using VE, LCC and LCA analysis module separately.
