In this paper, the optimum shape design of stator slot of induction motors for iron loss reduction is proposed. To obtain the flux distribution in induction motors, 2-D finite element method with voltage source is employed. The iron loss is calculated from the iron loss data given by the iron manufacturer. To calculate the sensitivity of iron loss to shape variation, the sensitivity analysis of discrete approach is used. The proposed algorithm is applied to a 3-phase squirrel cage induction motor. The nodes at stator slot boundary of the induction motor are defined as design parameters. By controlling these parameters under the constant volume of iron, we can minimize the iron loss. Furthermore, the stator copper loss is reduced by increasing the slot area. So the stator slot area is determined at the point that the summation of iron loss and copper loss of stator is minimized. Since the constraint of constant volume of iron is nonlinear to the design parameters, the Gradient Projection method is used as an optimization algorithm.

Target number of research established that execute drive displacement more than $600{\mu}m$ in 2.75V that is house voltage that is used in Mobile device that is general. Also, described about maximum transfer displacement characteristic, displacement response characteristic, hysteresis, response characteristic, smallest transfer step characteristic, actuator's drive characteristic that is manufactured to examination item of maximum consumption electric power by special quality estimation system that apply laser displacement sensor that produce itself to evaluate city manufactured actuator's special quality.

고온용액법(high temperature solution grwth)에 의해 $K_6P_4O_13$의 flux로 부터 KTP 단결정을 성장시켰다. Inclusion이 없는 KTP 단결정을 성장시키기 위해 성방로내 온도기울기, 결정의 회전, 종자결정의 방위, 냉각속도를 조절하였다. 성장된 KTP 단결정은 inclusion이 없었으며, 크기는 $10(a){\times}28(b){\times}33(c)mm^3$ 이었다. 또한 KTP 단결정 boule의 위치에 따른 SHG 출력 특성 측정 및 TEM 분석에 의해 종자결정 주위의 광학적 불균일성의 원인을 조사하였다.

원자외선 분광기 (Far ultraviolet IMaging Spectres.mph; FIMS)는 과학위성 1호의 주탑재체로 개발되고 있다. 원자외선 분광기 광학부에 대한 민감도 분석과 오차 예산 분석을 광범위하게 수행하였다. 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제작 오차 및 조립 오차 등의 모든 오차가 함께 존재할 때 실제 원자외선 분광기가 갖게 되는 성능을 조사하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 과학 임무를 위해 필요한 모든 요구 조건을 99.9% 이상의 확률로 만족하고 있음을 확인하였다.

$[^3H]$ Quinuclidinyl benzilate(QNB) binding assays were performed in the dog ventricular sarcolemma fraction enriched approx. 32-fold in sarcolemma compared to the starting homogenate to elucidate the effect of antihistaminics on cardiac muscarinic receptor. Chlorpheniramine(CHP) inhibited specific binding of $[^3H]$QNB and delayed the equilibrium binding. The rate constants at $37^{\circ}C$ for formation and dissociation of the QNB receptor complex were $0.38{\times}10^9\;M^{-1}$ and $1.6{\times}10^{-2}\;min^{-1}$, respectively. The mean value for the dissociation constant from the pairs of the rate constants was 43. 2 pM and this value was similar to the value(44.8pM) determined from Scatchard analysis. CHP decreased association rate constant, indicating increase in $K_D$ value. Decrease in affinity without affecting the binding site concentration$(B_{max})$ for $[^3H]$QNB binding by CHP was also demonstrated by Scatchard analysis. $K_i$ values for $H_i$-blockers that inhibited specific $[^3H]$QNB binding were $0.02{\sim}4.8{\mu}M$. Cimetidine with $K_i$ value of $230{\mu}M$, however, was ineffective in displacing $[^3H]$QNB binding at concentration of $50{\mu}M$. The Hill coefficient for $H_1$-blockers were about one. The results indicate that $H_1$-antihistaminics inhibit $[^3H]$ QNB binding by interaction with myocardiac muscarinic cholinergic receptor and anticholinergic side effects of these drugs are mainly due to this receptor blocking mechanism.

Ten newly evolved bivoltine hybrids of silkworm (Bombyx mori L) were evaluated with control hybrid KA${\pm}$NB4D2 during three seasons of a year for their seasonal performance. Analysis of variance and other statistical methods were employed and the performance was observed in respect of 10 quantitative traits. The results showed significant genotype${\pm}$environment interaction with respect to four quantitative characters viz. fecundity, yield/10,000 larvae, filament length and raw silk (%). Environmental effects were significant for nine characters out of ten characters evaluated. A 105${\pm}$J2 and B${\pm}$NB4D2 were considered as highly adaptable hybrids to local conditions with high mean for maximum characters studied and found suitable to rear in all seasons.

The structure of alclofenac was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The compound was recrystallized from chloroform solution in monoclinic system space group $C_{2}$/c, with Z = 8, a = 8, a = 23.349(9), b =14.295 (3), c = 7.192 (2) $\AA$, $\beta$ = 111.32 (3)$^{\circ}$, and $d_{dbs}$ = 1.29, $d_{caic}$ = 1.30. The structure was solved by direct method and refined by least-squares procedure to the final R-value being 0.044 for 1055 reflections (F ${\geq}6${\sigma}$(F)). The molecules are dimerized by OH..O type hydrogen bonds related by two-fold axis.

The periodic technical vehicle inspection is to prevent the accident through the finding and fixing the defects of the vehicle. The periodic technical vehicle inspection in Korea was studied for assessing the adequacy of the inspection frequency. The inspection frequencies of many countries including EU, USA and Japan were compared. The average mileages by the vehicle usage and type were represented. The warranty period and recommended replacement period of parts of the domestic auto makers was studied. Currently, the inspection frequency for the periodic technical vehicle inspection in Korea is appropriate. The pass-fail rate and the cost-benefit analysis for the periodic technical inspection in Korea will be needed in the decision making process for the inspection frequency.

It is hard and complicated to analytically derive the volumetric-displacement formula of a gerotor pump/motor. Analytical formulas for calculating the volumetric-displacement are derived in this work, which is relatively easy and based upon vane lengths. The vane lengths mean the distances from axis of inner rotor or outer rotor to contact points between inner and outer rotors. Two kinds of formula were studied for two different kinematic motions of rotors. The first one is the case that outer rotor is fixed in space and inner rotor is in mixed motion of planetary revolution and rotation with respect to the spinning axis. And the second is the case that both inner and outer rotors simultaneously rotate. The proposed formula is verified through comparison with volumetric-displacement obtained from numerical CAD calculation.

Polyirnide thin films were fabricated an using vapor deposition polymerization apparatus, and their FT-IR and TGA characteristics were investigated. The peaks of $720cm^{-1}$ and $1380cm^{-1}$ show C=O stretch mode and C-N stretch mode, and that of the cured polyimide at $300^{\circ}C$ were saturated. TGI(Thormogravi metric index) was showed at $459^{\circ}C$ from reaserch of thermal resistivity characteristics by TGA.
