Forest clear-cutting operations influence biodiversity through habitat changes and food resource availability for inhabitant species. This study examined the effects of clear-cutting on forest arthropod communities. Arthropods were collected from two different forest treatment areas (clear-cut and control) in summer and autumn. In each treatment area, arthropods were sampled from both crown and ground surfaces using sweeping and pitfall trap methods, respectively. Then, the taxonomic order of the collected arthropod specimens was easily identified. Results indicate that arthropod abundance and number of taxa present were higher at ground surface than at crown levels in both clear-cut and control areas. At crown level, more homopteran species were present in clear-cut areas than in control areas in summer. At ground surface, populations of Isopoda and Opiliones were higher in control areas than in clear-cut areas, whereas numbers of Araneae, Orthoptera, and Hymenoptera were greater in clear-cut areas. Cluster analysis and principal component analysis showed distinct differences between clear-cut and control communities at crown level in summer and at ground surface in autumn. Thus, our results indicate that clear-cutting significantly influences arthropod communities, and higher taxa are valuable for conducting rapid biological assessments of ecosystem disturbances.

Cutting oil cools the chip and a tool as well as lubricates the chip-tool interface, the flank and machined surface. Rehbinder effect has been known as a phenomenon, the reduction of mechanical strength, when the metal is exposed to a polar organic environment or the surface of metal is coated with some polar organic substances. About the cause of Rehbinder effect there have been many different ideas by Rehbinder, Shaw, Barlow, Sakida and etc. In this report, the efect of polar organic substance( $C_{6}$$H_{5}$C $H_{3}$+ $C_{6}$$H_{4}$(C $H_{3}$)$_{2}$+ $C_{4}$$H_{9}$OH+ $C_{6}$$H_{12}$$O_{2}$) (magic ink) upon the mechanism of chip formation on the orthogonal cutting of copper and mechanical properties of the work material are experimentally discussed with various rake angles. As expected no lubrication action could be noticed, but the shear angle increased and the cutting force and shear strain on the shear plane decreased, therefore the work material must be embrittled under polar organic substance.substance.

When processing parts, the cutting oil can improve the cooling performance of the workpiece and tool to increase the precision of the workpiece or extend the life of the tool and facilitate chip extraction. Since such cutting oil has a harmful effect on the environment and the human body due to additives such as sulfur, research on a minimum lubrication supply method using an eco-friendly oil is recently underway. The minimum lubrication supply method minimizes the amount of cutting oil used during processing and processes it, which can reduce the amount of cutting oil used, but has a problem in that cooling performance efficiency is poor. Therefore, this study conducted a study on mist cooling of lubricants to reduce the amount of cutting oil used and maximize the cooling effect of processing heat generated during tapping processing. Spray pressure, processing speed, direction, and lubricant spray amount, which are considered to have an effect on cooling performance, were set as process conditions, and the effect on temperature was analyzed by performing an experiment using the box benquin method among experiments were analyzed. Through the experimental analysis results, the optimal conditions for mist and processing that maximize the cooling effect were derived, and the validity of the results derived through additional experiments was verified. In the case of processing by applying the mist lubrication method verified through this study, it is considered that high-precision processing is possible by improving the cooling effect.
This study was carried out to investigate flora and vegetation in cutting slope along a construction age sequence (2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) of forest roads in Yongchiri, Younghyunmyon, Sacheonshi, Geyongsangnamdo. Mean slopes of the cutting and banking slopes of forest roads constructed were ranged from $42^{\circ}$ to $54^{\circ}$. Soil texture in the cutting and banking sides of forest roads constructed in 2012 was loam, while sandy loam in the cutting and banking slopes of forest roads constructed between 2007 and 2011. Vegetation cover percentage was higher in the banking slopes (66%) than the cutting slopes (49%) of forest roads. Total flora were higher in the banking slopes (50 species) than the cutting slopes (46 species) of forest roads. Species diversity was generally higher in the banking slopes than in the cutting slopes in all forest roads. In addition, the species diversity index was the highest in the cutting slopes (1.4015) of forest roads constructed in 2011, while the highest in the banking slopes (1.5603) of forest roads constructed in 2012. The results indicate that evenness index in the cutting and banking slopes of recent construction roads was high compared with old construction roads because of the distribution of simple plant species.

The tunnel type spillways is under construction to increasing water reservoir capacity in Dae-am dam. Cutting-slope adjacent to outlet of spillways had been originally designed to be 63 degrees and about 65m in height. Examination is carried out in preceding construction that it is caused to some problems possibility which of machine for slope cutting couldn't approach to the site, blasting for cutting slope might have negative influence on highway and roads nearby, and fine view along the Tae-hwa river would be eliminated. In order to establish stability of tunnel and more friendly natural environment that we are carry out detailed geological surface survey and analysis of slope stability. So, we are design and construct for tunnel excavation with possible method that it is keep up natural slope. The result of survey and analysis that natural slope was divided 3 zone(A, B, C zone). In A and B zone, in first removed floating rock, high tensile tension net is install that it prevent of release and falling of rock, in order to security during under working. In addition to, pre-stressed rock anchor is install purpose of security during tunnel excavation because of fault zone near vertical developed above excavation level. Zone C is relatively good condition of ground, design is only carry out random rock bolt. All zone are designed and constructed drainage hole for groundwater and surface water is easily drain. Desinged slpoe is harmony with near natural environment. Successfully, construction is completed.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the profitability by selecting Pinus densiflora S. et Z. worthy of ornamental tree from among the cutting timber in the urban development project, and then presents the improvements. The study site is the whole area of Oedong-eup Gyeongju city Gyeongsangbuk-do and subject trees numbers are 2,180 trees. Analysis method is cost analysis because it is used generously pubic land development. In results, at first, in case of forest development currently cutting tree costs 7.3 million Won/ha. and no profit is occurred at all. Secondly, the forward direction order of tree treatments expenses are in sawdust production, selling lumber, selling ornamental tree, and selling ornamental tree, sawdust production, selling lumbered on the aspect of profits by the selling stumpage. Especially, selling trees as ornamental tree costs 127 million Won/ha. which shows the highest profits. Third, the management of ornamental tree pine tree after transplantation from development site costs 5 times less than purchasing the same quality trees. Hence, it is recommended to re-utilize the trees from the development sites to produce a high standard gardens and it also provides the basis for the low carbon green growth society.

Purpose: To reduce the costs of potato seeds and labor of workers, a fully automatic in-situ seeding machine for cutting seed potatoes was developed. Methods: An experiment was conducted to evaluate the seeder performance of the prototype of potato planter by cutting seeds in farmlands from March to April 2017. The study tested the seeder performance at working speeds ranging from 0.28 to 0.45 m/s. The seeding rate and seeding distance were also investigated according to the planned distance between planted seeds from 20 to 30 cm, with 5 cm intervals. Results: Tests on the performance of the developed cutting blade on the automatic potato seeder show that whole potatoes should be used instead of half potatoes. The seeding rates were 88.8% and 82.5% for whole and half potatoes, respectively. When the tractor working speed was increased from 0.28 to 0.45 m/s, the successful seeding rate decreased from 98.8% to 96.3%, respectively. However, with planted seed distances of 20, 25, and 30 cm, the successful seeding rates were near 98%. Conclusions: The developed automatic potato seeder can to improve the labor productivity and cultivation environment of potato farms by the mechanization of the seeding process, which is currently associated with high-labor, -costs, and -hours. Therefore, based on this study, the developed automatic potato seeder provides the mechanization necessary for improved potato cultivation conditions in farmlands.

We examined the rates of pathogenic bacterial cross-contamination from gloves to meat and from meat to gloves during pork processing under meat-handling scenarios in transfer rate experiments of inoculated pathogens. The inoculated pork contained ~5-6 Log10 CFU/g pathogenic bacteria like Escherichia coli (E. coli), Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), Listeria monocytogenes (L. monocytogenes), and Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica (Sal. enteritidis). On cotton gloves, after cutting the pork, the cutting board, knife, and cotton gloves showed 3.07-3.50, 3.29-3.92 and 4.48-4.86 Log10 CFU/g bacteria. However, when using polyethylene gloves, fewer bacteria (3.12-3.75, 3.20-3.33, and 3.07-3.97 Log10 CFU/g, respectively) were transferred. When four pathogens (6 Log10 CFU/g) were inoculated onto the gloves, polyethylene gloves showed a lower transition rate (cutting board 2.47-3.40, knife 2.01-3.98, and polyethylene glove 2.40-2.98 Log10 CFU/g) than cotton gloves. For cotton gloves, these values were 3.46-3.96, 3.37-4.06, and 3.55-4.00 Log10 CFU/g, respectively. Use of cotton gloves, polyethylene gloves, knives and cutting boards for up to 10 hours in a meat butchering environment has not exceeded HACCP regulations. However, after 10 h of use, 3.09, 3.27, and 2.94 Log10 CFU/g of plate count bacteria were detected on the cotton gloves, cutting board, and knives but polyethylene gloves showed no bacterial count. Our results reveal the transfer efficiency of pathogenic bacteria and that gloved hands may act as a transfer route of pathogenic bacteria between meat and hands. The best hand hygiene was achieved when wearing polyethylene gloves. Thus, use of polyethylene rather than cotton gloves reduces cross-contamination during meat processing.

Recently, investment in the aerospace industry has increased, and titanium alloys have been widely adopted for manufacturing parts in the aerospace industry. The Ti-6Al-4V alloy has high strength in high-temperature and high-pressure environments and is evaluated as a material with excellent heat, corrosion, and abrasion. However, titanium alloys are expensive, difficult to cut, and possess a large cutting load during the drilling process. In this study, the cutting force generated in the drilling process of Ti-6Al-4V alloy was verified via finite element analysis (FEM) and cutting force measurement experiments. A structural analysis was performed based on the cutting analysis data to verify the plastic deformation occurring during the drilling process of cylindrical Ti-6Al-4V alloy aircraft parts. Methods were proposed to predict the amount of deformation that occur during the manufacturing process of titanium-alloy aircraft parts and control the external environment, to minimize the amount of deformation.
