  • As the power industry moves towards open competition, a need has arisen for appropriate methodology to evaluate power system reliability by using customer Interruption costs. This paper presents an assessment of the interruption costs by industrial customer type in Korea using customer survey methodology. When various research results are examined, the customer damage survey methodology becomes much more generalized. Especially, in the case of industrial customers, it is known that evaluation by the customer damage survey is more useful. Accordingly, this paper selected the customer damage survey method to evaluate the interruption costs by industrial customer type in Korea considering interruption and customer characteristics.

  • The potential needs as well as visible needs of customer should be considered in order to research and analyze of the customer data. The methods to analyze customer data is classified into customer segmentation, clustering analysis model, forecasting customer response probability model, analysis of the customer break rate model and new customer analysis model by the purpose. In this study, we developed the CW-CLV (Correlation Weight Customer Lifetime Value)method that used AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)rule for enhance the reliability of customer data and quantitative analysis of the customer segmentation, based on CLV(Customer Lifetime Value). We suggest to new variables and methodology from determined CW-CLV coefficients, because all of companies respect to the diversified customers classification and complexity of consumers needs. Finally, we unfolded any company's scheduling added new methodology using simulation and leaded conclusion about the new methodology.

  • To investigate and analyze the influence of trust on consumer satisfaction in rice cake cafe menus using domestically grown food ingredients, this study divided selection attributes of rice cake cafe menus into safety, nutrition, ethicality and marketability through an exploratory factor analysis and analyzed reliability and correlation among these variables. As a result, these four factors were adopted as selection factors, and the results of the correlation analysis among the variables showed that the four factors were statistically correlated with trust and customer satisfaction. The result of validity and reliability testing on consumer trust showed that the menus were reliable and trustworthy as they had been made using domestically grown agricultural products. Analysis of how cafe selection attributes affect trust showed that the these variables had a significantly positive influence on trust in the order of safety, marketability, nutrition, and ethicality. The influence of the selection attributes on customer satisfaction was statistically significant, and the independent variables had a significantly positive influence on trust in the order of marketability, ethicality, safety, and nutrition. In verifying the mediation effect of trust on customer satisfaction, the four factors of rice cake cafe selection attributes had statistically significant mediation effects.

  • In this paper, the survey results of the interruption on domestic residential customer with primary focus on the cost are presented. General method utilized in quantifying the benefit of reliability on power system is to estimate the Customer Interruption Cost(CIC) associated with the electric service interruption. According to change the circumstance of electricity market by the deregulation and the introduction of new technology, reliable and accurate CIC is required for estimate the applied plan and technology under the circumstance. This paper presents the residential customer interruption cost is estimated by the survey conducted by KEPCO in 2009. To collect the customer interruption data for calculation of CIC, the survey is conducted. The survey targeting residential customer around the branch-offices under twelve regional headquarters of KEPCO was carried out.

  • This paper presents a new algorithm for the allocation of the reliability level of composite power system under deregulated electricity market. Under deregulated electricity market, it is required to establish a methodology that can evaluate supply cost and supply reliability of each demand to realize the available priority service reflected a preference of each customer. In this study, a concept of reliability differentiated electricity service as priority service to keep reliability of particular customer within a desirable level is proposed on HLII under deregulated competitive electricity market. The uncertainties of not only generators but also transmission lines are considered for the reliability evaluation in this study. The characteristics and effectiveness of this methodology are illustrated by the case studies on MRBTS and IEEE-RTS.

  • The optimal design of transmission system expansion planning is an important part of the overall planning task of electric power system under competitive electricity market environments. One of main keys of the successful grid expansion planning comes from optimal reliability level/criteria decision, which should be given for constraint in the optimal expansion problem. However, it's very difficult to decide logically the optimal reliability criteria of a transmission system as well as generation system expansion planning in a society. This paper approaches a methodology for deciding the optimal reliability criteria for an optimal transmission system expansion planning. A deterministic reliability criteria, BRR (Bus Reserve Rate) is used in this study. The optimal reliability criteria, BRR/sup */, is decided at minimum cost point of total cost curve which is the sum of the utility cost associated with construction cost and the customer outage cost associated with supply interruptions for load considering bus reserve rate at load buses in long term forecasting. The characteristics and effectiveness of this methodology are illustrated by the case study using IEEE-RTS.

  • This paper investigates the service quality determinants in management consulting. Quality dimensions in SERVQUAL research, as well as several dimensions specific to the consulting service, have been reviewed. A survey has been conducted by carefully developed questionnaires for the hypothesized eight quality dimensions. The results of the statistical analyses support the eight quality dimensions in the consulting service : reliability, assurance, responsiveness, empathy, ethics, participation, communication, and reputation. The results demonstrate that reliability, assurance, participation, and reputation are especially influential in determining customer satisfaction. The research results provide useful insights for a customer in assessing alternative service providers and foreseeing the outcome from the chosen consultants.

  • The purchasing behavior of consumers is related to service quality and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Therefore, CSR is recognized as an important factor in company strategies. This study determines the relationship between the CSR activities of KORAIL and the reuse intention and recommendation intention of the consumer. CSR is composed of economic, legal, philanthropic, ethical, and environmental responsibilities. In the results of the structural equation modeling analyses, legal responsibility and economic reliability affect the reliability of KORAIL and this reliability affects the customers' reliability and loyalty. This paper proposes a compliance program, wagon safety information, customized tour packages, and communication strategy that will increase customer's reliability and loyalty.

  • This study was undertaken to understand the interrelationships among customer's perceptions of service encounters, customer value, and behavioral intent in a family restaurant. Based on 331 samples obtained from empirical research, we reviewed the reliability and fitness of a research model and verified three hypotheses using a structural equation model. The results showed that physical environment (${\beta}$ = .418) and a customer interaction with the service provider (${\beta}$ = .265) had a significant effect on the customer's hedonic value. Additionally, physical environment (${\beta}$ = .126) and customer interaction with service providers (${\beta}$ = .264) had a significant effect on customer utilitarian value. Customer's hedonic (${\beta}$ = .538) and utilitarian value (${\beta}$ = .382) triggered by service encounters had a significant effect on their behavioral intent. Limitations and future research directions are discussed.
