  • Information power has been a major criterion for wealth disparity in human history, and since the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, referred to as the data economy era, personal information has also gained economic value. Additionally, companies collect and analyze customer information to use as a marketing tool, providing personalized services, making the collection of quality customer information crucial to a company's success. However, as the amount of data held by companies increases, crimes of stealing personal information for financial gain have surged, making corporate customer information a target for criminals. The leakage of personal information and its circumstances lead to a decline in corporate trust from the customer's perspective, threatening corporate sustainability with falling stock prices and decreased sales. Therefore, companies find themselves in a paradoxical situation where the utilization of personal information is increasing while the risk of personal information leakage is also growing. This study used the news big data analysis system, BIG KINDS, to analyze major keywords before and after media coverage on personal information leaks, examining domestic media coverage trends. Through this, we identified the impact of personal information leakage on corporate sustainability and analyzed the connection between personal information protection and sustainable corporate management. The results derived from this study are expected to serve as foundational data for companies seeking ways to enhance sustainable management while increasing the utilization of personal information.

  • This study aims to examine the impact of characteristics of SNS content provided by airlines on customer satisfaction and to explore the effect of the personal characteristics of the customers which have a modulating effect on the relationship between content characteristics of SNS and customer satisfaction. The data were collected over a period of April 21. 2019. to July 21. 2019. for three months from the people who have experience using SNS provided by airlines. 225 samples were selected and used as final samples from a collection rate of 93.4 percent. Findings suggest that the characteristics of airline's SNS content which include a promotion, information, and communication showed a positive impact on customer satisfaction. The analysis of a modulating effect of individual characteristics on the relationship between the airline's SNS content characteristics showed that diversity pursuit propensity, innovation propensity, and information-seeking propensity control the relationship between characteristics of airline's SNS content which are publicity, information and customer satisfaction. And it was found that all three personal characteristics do not control the relationship between communication and customer satisfaction. Thus, airlines should use SNS more effectively to generate customer satisfaction and present marketing measures to help generate profits through consumer purchasing behavior. It is expected that the findings of this study will help airlines to utilize marketing implications for effective and practical marketing methods.

  • Purpose: Online and social media and mobile shopping are increasing and companies are required to provide personal information in order to supplement the non-invasive characteristics of the channels. With the increased provision of personal information, consumers' personal and social concerns about the prevention of personal information infringement are also increasing, and in response, personal or opt-in marketing has emerged to compensate for reckless information abuse. Despite the background of this emergence, the existing prior studies are limited to ignoring the negative feelings of consumers in the real world, including only the net function and positive effect of the opt-in mail. Research design, data and methodology: The research framework was intended to utilize the impact of human marketing activities on consumer attitudes combined with positive and negative factors. Factors that positively affect attitudes toward permation marketing were presented, such as informality, and perceived risks were presented as negative impact factors. Also, based on previous prior research, the prior factors of opt-in marketing were to present the effect on purchase intent through the medium of attitude toward opt-in marketing. Results: In this study, we used the framework of a two factor theory to address positive and negative factors as a leading factor in the customer attitude toward opt-in mail advertising, and as a result, functionality and personalization have a positive effect on customer attitude and perceived risk have a negative impact on customer attitude. In addition, it was confirmed that the customer attitude formed this way affects the intention to purchase again. Conclusions: This study suggests that we have demonstrated that marketing, an opt-in marketing that has been recognized as part of marketing that is deployed after obtaining customer consent, has been applied without any other marketing methodology. E-mail advertising at this point also provides practical implications that the system safeguards are in place under an opt-in protocol or system, and that even if an e-mail advertisement is carried out, customers will need to look at the level of awareness about the risks, and suggests that they need to consider the customer's journey that could lead to purchase at the content level.

  • With the rising reliance on market estimation through customer analysis in customer-centered marketing, there is a rapid increase in the amount of personal data owned by corporations. There has been a corresponding rise in the customers' interest in personal information protection, and the problem of personal information leakage has risen as a serious issue. The purpose of this research is to develop a diagnosis model for personal information protection that is suited to our country's corporate environment, and on this basis, to present diagnostic instruments that can be applied to domestic corporations. This diagnosis model is a structural equation model that schematizes the degree of synthetic effect that administration factors and estimation items have on the protection of personal information owned by corporations. We develop the model- consisting of the administration factors for personal information protection and the measurement items of each factor- using the development method of standardized structural equation model. We then present a tool through which the administration factors and estimation items verified through this model can be used in the diagnosis for personal information protection in corporations. This diagnostic tool can be utilized as a useful instrument to prevent in advance the leakage of personal information in corporations.
