서비스직 근로자의 고객응대업무와 프리젠티즘: 상사 지지의 조절효과 (Exploring Interaction between Interactive Services and Presenteeism of Korean Service Workers: The Moderating Effects of Supervisor Support)

  • Purpose: This study delves into the relationship between interactive services and presenteeism among Korean service workers, aiming to discern the moderating effects of supervisor support on the relationship. Methods: Utilizing secondary data from the sixth Korean Working Conditions Survey, involving 7,628 service workers, this study conducted logistic moderated regression analysis to scrutinize the moderating effects of supervisor support on the relationship between interactive services and presenteeism. Results: Approximately 10% of workers experienced presenteeism in the previous 12 months. Females, low-educated, elderly, those working long hours, and low-wage workers were more likely to perceive presenteeism. Notably, a statistically significant U-shaped curvilinear relationship was observed between interactive service duration and presenteeism. The results also underscore the moderating role of supervisory support in shaping the relationship between interactive services and presenteeism. Conclusion: The study highlights the significance of supervisor interest and support in promoting workers' health, thereby not only improving the wellbeing of individual workers but also fostering organizational productivity by reducing presenteeism.

  • 해양의 몇몇 정점에서 관측된 유속자료로부터 속도 유선함수를 최소자승 회귀분석법을 응용하여 산출하였다. 유선함수는 삼각함수의 합으로 표현되며 이들 함수의 상수들은 2차원 유속장의 비발산 부분을 최소화하여 구하였다. 위의 방법은 기존의 방법들이 요구하는 관측치의 보강이 필요치 않으며 관측 및 흐름장의 발산에 기인하는 오차를 계산할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 연안역의 복잡한 해안경계 문제를 쉽게 표현하기 위하여 연안을 경계로 하는 곡선직교좌표를 도입하여 유선함수를 구하였다. 텍사스-루이지아나 대륙붕 순환 및 수송 연구(LATEX)를 위하여 31개 정점에서 관측된 해류계자료를 이용 텍사스-루이지아나 대륙붕상의 속도유선함수를 성공적으로 산출하였다. 위의 해역에서 유선함수 산출오차는 비교적 적게 나타나 유선함수가 표층 유속장을 잘 나타냄을 알 수 있다.

Carcass Traits Determining Quality and Yield Grades of Hanwoo Steers

  • A group of Hanwoo (Korean cattle) steers (n=14,386) was sampled from a commercial abattoir located in Seoul over one year period (spring, summer, autumn and winter) and their carcass traits were collected. Carcass traits assessed by an official meat grader comprised degree of marbling, meat color, fat color, texture and maturity for quality grade, and back fat thickness, ribeye area and carcass weight for yield grade. A heavier carcass with a higher marbling score, more red meat color and white fat color received better quality grade (p<0.05). Regression analysis showed that the marbling score was the strongest attribute (partial $R^2=0.88$) for quality grade. Lighter carcasses with a thinner back fat and larger ribeye area received higher yield grade score. The back fat thickness was the most negative determinant of yield grade (Partial $R^2=-0.66$). The slaughter season had a little effect on quality and yield grades. As slaughter weight increased, back fat thickness and ribeye area increased linearly, whereas marbling score reached its asymptotic level at approximately 570 kg. As a consequence, quality grade showed a considerable improvement up to 570 kg, but increases in slaughter weight afterward showed a little benefit on quality grade. There was a clear curvilinear relationship between slaughter weight and yield grade in that the yield grade reached its highest point at approximately 490 kg and decreased afterward. These results suggested that 570kg at the age of 24 months might be the economic slaughter weight for quality grade but 490 kg for yield grade.

토양유실량 여측(予測)을 위한 강우인자(降雨因子)의 분석(分析) (Rainfall Erosion Factor for Estimating Soil Loss)

  • 전국 51개(個) 측후소(測候所) 및 분실(分室)의 강우성적(降雨成績)을 이용(利用)하여 토양유실량을 여측(予測)하기 위한 강우인자(降雨因子)(R-factor)를 분석(分析) 검토(檢討)한 결과(結果) 조사지역(調査地域)의 연평균(年平均) R-치(値)는 438이었으며 일반적(一般的)으로 동부지역(東部地域)은 R-치(値)가 200~300으로 낮았고 서부(西部) 및 남부지역(南部地域)과 제주도에서는 300~700으로 높았다. R-치(値)와 강우량(降雨量)과의 관계)는 지수함수의 유의성(有意性)있는 상관이 있었으며 이 관계식을 이용(利用)해 R-치(値)를 추정(推定)할 수 있었다. 포장(圃場)에서 측정(測定)한 토양유실량과 토양유실여측공식에 의(依)해 계산(計算)된 토양유실량을 비교(比較)해 본 결과(結果) 강우인자(降雨因子)는 EI 30을 사용(使用)하는 것이 타당(妥當)하였다.

집단간 지식공유의 영향요인에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study on Factors Influencing Knowledge Sharing among Groups)

  • Knowledge sharing, as well as knowledge creation, is the basis for an organization to maintain its competitive advantage. Organizations trying to use knowledge resources for strategic purposes or pursuing knowledge management are now paying more attention to methods to facilitate knowledge sharing. This study aims to find out the answers to the questions below. (1) Which relational or structural factors influence the intentions to share knowledge among groups? (2) Does the intension to share knowledge among groups really influence the knowledge sharing behavior? (3) What are the roles of accessibility on the relationship between intention to share knowledge and behavior of knowledge sharing? (4) Does the behavior of knowledge sharing really improve the effectiveness of knowledge sharing among groups? Findings of this study are summarized as follows. First, the positive relations of the relational and structural factors with the intention to share knowledge among groups are found. However, crisis intensity was found to have no meaningful influence on the intention to share knowledge among groups. After all we could see through additional analysis that it is in curvilinear relation, not linear relation. Second, we examined relation of the intention to share knowledge with the behavior of knowledge sharing among groups. Multiple regression analysis showed that intention to share knowledge among groups had a statistically significant influence on the behavior of knowledge sharing among groups. Third, the moderating effect of accessibility on the relation between the intention to share knowledge and the behavior of knowledge sharing was found to be statistically significant. Fourth, the relation between behavior of knowledge sharing and the effectiveness among groups was found to be statistically significant, but in a negative direction. The findings imply that the quantity of knowledge sharing does not always lead to the effectiveness of knowledge sharing.

The Diagnostic Performance of the Length of Tumor Capsular Contact on MRI for Detecting Prostate Cancer Extraprostatic Extension: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

  • Objective: The purpose was to review the diagnostic performance of the length of tumor capsular contact (LCC) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for detecting prostate cancer extraprostatic extension (EPE). Materials and Methods: PubMed and EMBASE databases were searched up to March 24, 2019. We included diagnostic accuracy studies that evaluated LCC on MRI for EPE detection using radical prostatectomy specimen histopathology as the reference standard. Quality of studies was assessed using the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2 tool. Sensitivity and specificity were pooled and graphically presented using hierarchical summary receiver operating characteristic (HSROC) plots. Meta-regression and subgroup analyses were conducted to explore heterogeneity. Results: Thirteen articles with 2136 patients were included. Study quality was generally good. Summary sensitivity and specificity were 0.79 (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.73-0.83) and 0.67 (95% CI 0.60-0.74), respectively. Area under the HSROC was 0.81 (95% CI 0.77-0.84). Substantial heterogeneity was present among the included studies according to Cochran's Q-test (p < 0.01) and Higgins I2 (62% and 86% for sensitivity and specificity, respectively). In terms of heterogeneity, measurement method (curvilinear vs. linear), prevalence of Gleason score ≥ 7, MRI readers' experience, and endorectal coils were significant factors (p ≤ 0.01), whereas method to determine the LCC threshold, cutoff value, magnet strength, and publication year were not (p = 0.14-0.93). Diagnostic test accuracy estimates were comparable across all assessed MRI sequences. Conclusion: Greater LCC on MRI is associated with a higher probability of prostate cancer EPE. Due to heterogeneity among the studies, further investigation is needed to establish the optimal cutoff value for each clinical setting.

Biological aspects of Oreochromis niloticus (Linnaeus, 1758) in Geray Reservoir (Ethiopia) for effective sustainable fisheries

  • Biometric evaluation and reproductive biology of Oreochromis niloticus were studied from Geray Reservoir. Between November 2021 and August 2022, 316 O. niloticus specimens were collected from this reservoir. The observed male to female sex ratio was 1:1.14, which was statistically insignificant compared with the hypothetical 1:1 sex ratio (X2 = 1.27, p > 0.05). The length-weight relationship was curvilinear with allometric growth (b < 3) and statistically significant from the expected isometric growth pattern (b = 3). The regression equation for females was TW = 0.0264TL2.72 (r2 = 0.90, n = 168), males (TW = 0.0183TL2.79, r2 = 0.93, n = 148), and combined sexes (TW = 0.0229TL2.76, r2 = 0.91, n = 316). Gonadosomatic index (GSI) ranged from 0.8 to 1.4 (males) and 1.8 to 4.9 (females). The breeding season lasted from March to June, with a GSI peak in April. Fecundity ranged from 279 to 1,528 eggs./fish, with a mean of 1,025 eggs./fish. The correlation between absolute fecundity and length was more significant (F = 0.76TL2.8, R2 = 0.94, p < 0.05) than with weight (F = 17.683TW0.71, R2 = 0.92, p < 0.05). This study provides basic information on the biology of O. niloticus in the Geray Reservoir for future fishery management tools for the conservation and utilization of this valuable freshwater fish.

표토(表土)의 점토함량(粘土含量)이 토양화학성(土壤化學性) 및 수도수량(水稻收量)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Changes of Soil Chemical Properties and Rice Yield in Relation to Clay Content of Surface Soil)

  • 1979년(年)에 전국적(全國的)으로 수행(遂行)되었던 수도(水稻) 3 요소(要素) 비료시험(肥料試驗) 포장(圃場) 중에서 재배방법(栽培方法)이 동일(同一)한 42개소(個所)를 선정(選定)하여 작토층(作土層)의 점토함량(粘土含量)에 따른 토양화학성(土壤化學性) 및 수량성(收量性)과의 상관관계(相關關係)를 분석(分析)하였다. 점토함량(粘土含量)이 높아질수록 보비능(保肥能)과 양분함량(養分含量)은 증대(增大)되었다. 한편 무비재배하(無肥栽培下)에서 점토함량(粘土含量)과 수량간(收量間)에는 직선함수적(直線函數的) 상관관계(相關關係)가 있었으므로 논토양(土壤)의 자연생산력(自然生産力)은 사질토(砂質土)에서 식질토(埴質土)에서 양호(良好)하였다. 반면(反面)에 합리적(合理的) 시비하(施肥下)에서는 점토함량(粘土含量)과 수량(收量)은 곡선함수적(曲線函數的) 상관관계(相關關係)를 보여 최대생산력(最大生産力)은 점토함량(粘土含量)이 26% 부근(附近)인 양토(壤土)에서 가장 높았다. 그러나 점토(粘土)가 14~38% 범위내(範圍內)에서 수량(收量)의 변이(變異)는 매우 크지 않았으므로 점토함량(粘土含量)이 약(約) 15% 이하(以上)의 수준(水準)을 넘으면 논토양(土壤)의 수도생산력(水稻生産力)에는 장해(障害)가 없을 것으로 판단(判斷)된다.

경사모세관법(傾斜毛細管法)에 의한 산양혈액(山羊血液)의 적혈구침강율(赤血球沈降率) 측정(測定) (Angled Capillary Method for Determining Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate of Goat)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a new method which enables the goat ESR to be used as an effective clinical test. Blood samples were taken from 61 Korean native goats aged above one year old and the effect of tube inclinations, tube bores, tube lengths, environmental temperatures during tests and packed erythrocyte volumes (PCV) on the ESR were observed. The results were summarized as follows. 1. The ESR/hr using capillary hematocrit tube (Micro-Ht-tube) was gradually increased as the tube angle inclined from 90 (vertical) to 15 degrees and the best angle in view of both security and fast sedimentation rate was found to be an angle of 45 degrees. 2. The 45-degree angled ESR ($45^{\circ}$-ESR) increased as the diameter of tube bore decreased. 3. The tube length did not affect the $45^{\circ}$-ESR in percent. 4. The $45^{\circ}$-ESR increased with the increased environmental temperature during the ESR test. 5. The heparinized Micro-Ht tubes did not affect the $45^{\circ}$-ESR of EDTA-blood in healthy group but in anemic group. In the anemic group, the ESRs by the heparinized Micro-Ht-tubes were slightly higher than those by non-heparinized Micro-Ht-tubes. 6. By using the autologous plasma, PCV of the blood was adjusted to be 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50ml/100ml and $45^{\circ}$-ESRs were determined in the Micro-Ht-tubes. The $45^{\circ}$-ESRs increased as the values of PCV decreased. The regression of the $45^{\circ}ESR$ to PCV was curvilinear with the second degree polynomial, $Y=42.1838-1.7355X+0.0180X^2$(r=0.9997). 7. The $45^{\circ}$-ESR/hr, using non-heparinized Micro-Ht-tubes at $20^{\circ}C$, was determined in 35 healthy Korean native goats. The average PCV was $30.6{\pm}1.4ml/100ml$. The observed ESR values averaged $6.8{\pm}1.7%$ and the corrected ESR values to the standard PCV of 31ml/100ml averaged $6.5{\pm}1.2%$. From these results, the angled capillary tube method was found to be desirable ESR test of goat blood in which EDTA-blood is filled in nonheparinized Micro-Ht-tubes held at an angle of 45 degrees for an hour at $20^{\circ}C$.

MODIS 식생지수에 미치는 센서 geometry의 영향과 센서 간 자료 호환성 검토 (Compatibility of MODIS Vegetation Indices and Their Sensitivity to Sensor Geometry)

  • 지표의 식생활력도를 간접적으로 반영하는 위성 기반의 식생지수 자료를 연속적으로 확보하기 위해 자료합성법이 통상적으로 적용된다. 이는 자료합성을 통해 누락 자료나 신호 오류의 영향을 최소화함으로써 장기적인 식생지수 자료 구축이 가능해지기 때문이다. 또, 합성주기에 따라 두 개 이상의 위성 센서로부터 같은 시점에 생성된 식생지수 자료를 상호교호적으로 사용할 경우, 식생지수 자료 축적의 연속성과 안정성을 보다 더 강화할 수 있다. 본 연구는 식물생장 연구에 있어 위성시스템 간 자료 호환 가능성뿐만 아니라 MODIS 자료 취득 조건, 즉 태양과 센서의 천정각이 미치는 영향을 센서 geometry 측면에서 파악하여 장기적인 식생모니터링을 위한 자료 구축 개선에 기여하고자 한다. 연구 기간 중 센서천정각의 변화는 일정한 패턴을 보이지 않았고, 연도별로 불규칙한 등락을 나타냈다. 또, 동일 계절별로 분석한 결과에서도 계절에 따른 특징적 경년변화 패턴은 나타나지 않았다. 두 가지 분석 대상 자료인 NDVI와 EVI를 비교했을 때, EVI가 NDVI에 비해 더 안정된 결과를 보여주었고, 전반적으로 중위도 지역 식물생장의 계절적 특성을 전형적으로 보여주었다. 식생피복에 따른 NDVI-EVI 간 상관관계는 모두 유효한 결과를 얻었으나, 식생피복별로 상관도 차이를 보였고 상호간에 선형 관계가 아닌 상단부에서 수렴되는 곡선 관계를 보여주었다. Terra와 Aqua 위성에 의해 오전과 오후에 각각 관측된 식생지수를 비교한 결과, 상관계수 범위는 NDVI의 경우 0.641-0.880로, EVI의 경우 0.747-0.963으로 나타나, NDVI자료에 비해 EVI자료의 호환성이 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 두 센서 기반의 식생지수간 호환성 개선을 위해서는 두 자료 간의 회귀선으로부터 벗어나 있는 예외치에 대한 정밀한 분석이 과제로 남는다.
