A method to produce a desired current pattern in a multiple-source EIT system using voltage sources is presented. Application of current patterns to a body is known to be superior to the application of voltage patterns in terms of high spatial frequency noise suppression, resulting in high accuracy in conductivity and permittivity images. Since current sources are difficult and expensive to build, the use of voltage sources to apply the current pattern is desirable. An iterative algorithm presented in this paper generates the necessary voltage pattern that will produce the desired current pattern. The convergence of the algorithm is shown under the condition that the estimation error of the linear mapping matrix from voltage to current is small. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the convergence of the output current.
Grounding systems set the reference voltage level of electric circuits and suppress the Ground Potential Rise (GPR) by flowing fault currents to the ground safely. There are several parameters which evaluate the performance of grounding systems as ground resistance, touch voltage and step voltage. The touch and step voltages, which is called "risk voltage", are especially important to ensure the safety of human body. This paper dealt with the influence of current sources with the different frequency components on the touch and the step voltages. Three types of current sources as commercial frequency, square wave, and surge with the fast risetime of $50\;ns{\sim}500\;ns$ were used to analyze the risk voltages in a grounding system. The risk voltages showed remarkable difference in the same current amplitude depending on the current sources, and increased linearly with the current amplitude in the same current source. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the risk voltages can be evaluated by a small current application in large-scale grounding systems and the possible largest risk voltage can be calculated by a surge current with the risetime of 200 ns or a current source with the same frequency component as the surge current.
A new large-scale network geometric analysis is introduced. For a large-scale circuit, it must be analyzed with a geometric diagram and figure. So many equations are induced from a geometric loop-node diagram. The results are arranged into a simple matrix, of course. In case of constructing a network diagram, it is not easy to handle voltage and current sources together. Geometric loop analysis is related to voltage sources, and node analysis is to current sources. The reciprocal transfer is possible only to have series or parallel impedance. If not having this impedance, in order to obtain equivalent circuit, many equations must be derived. In this paper a loop-reduction method is proposed. With this method current source branch is included into the other branch, and disappears in circuit diagram. So the number of independent circuit equations are reduced as much as that of current sources. The number is not (b-n+1), but (b-n+1-p). Where p is the number of current sources. The reduction procedure is verified with a geometric principle and circuit theory. A resultant matrix can be constructed directly from this diagram structure, not deriving circuit equations. We will obtain the last results with the help of a computer.
This study examined how the households used and combined financing sources to pay for college education. It compared the probability of using each source (current incomes, saving, education loans and grants) by households' socio-economic characteristics and analyzed which factors influence the decision to use each source and the amounts from each source for financing college education. Data for this study were from a questionnaire completed by 4-year college students (n=623) and were analyzed by t-tests, ANOVA and Heckman's two-step estimation models. The findings of this study were as follows: First, the most frequent source for college education was parents' savings and the second one was parents' incomes. Also, the most frequent combination of sources was saving and current incomes and the second was combination of three sources, saving, incomes and education loans. Second, the probability of using incomes was higher for younger students than for older students. The number of siblings showed significant differences among income, savings and education loans. Those who had higher incomes were more likely to use current incomes, saving, but less likely to borrow for financing college education. Middle-class income groups were more likely to borrow for education. Third, household incomes and asset holdings had generally positive impacts on the probability of using incomes and savings for college education, while total debt burden decreased both the probability and amounts of income and saving sources. The college costs had significantly positive effects on both the probability and the amounts of all of financing sources. Total grants received significantly decreased the amounts from incomes, savings and borrowing sources.

In recent years inverter power sources are more and more used for resistance welding processes. In this paper some results of investigation into the static and dynamic behavior of high-current rectifier diodes used in these inverter power sources will be discussed. By means of digital simulation, losses and efficiency have been determined depending on the power semiconductor parameters.
A few years from now, gravitational wave (GW) detectors of LIGO and VIRGO consortiums are expected to reach the sensitivity necessary to detect GW signals from astronomical sources. Identification of the counterparts to the GW sources in electromagnetic wave is very important, since the localization of the GW signals is going to be very poor (~1000 $deg^2$) for the first detections and the nature of the GW-emitting sources will be uncertain with the GW detection only. In this talk, we will discuss possible astronomical sources that could be responsible for the first GW signals, and outline our current efforts to do follow-up observation of GW sources in collaboration with LIGO/VIRGO groups.
This paper presents an effective pedagogical method for nodal analysis in linear circuit. In the proposed method, basic equations are built only for passive elements and independent current sources. And then, the basic equations are modified by considering other sources such as voltage sources and dependent current sources. In the proposed method, the equations are presented in form of a matrix and a vector of which elements are built systematically by considering every element in a circuit one by one. This make the proposed method easy to apply to intricately composed circuit and easy to solve the final simultaneous equations and easy to realize as computer program for nodal analysis and easy to memorize compared to the conventional method.
This paper presents a 6-bit self-calibrated D/A converter designed with current cell matrix structure. This structure is based on the current-cell matrix configuration using a regulated gate cascode current cell with 3-way switch. using from CMOS process and 5V power supply, the simulated conversion rate is 45.78MHz and the average mismatching properties among current sources are reduced to 0.02% and 0.005%, respectively when 1% and 0.5% errors of current sources are considered.

Noise which is unwanted sound is a serious pollutant that can affect human health, as well as the working and living environment if exposed to humans. However, current noise management on the construction project is generally conducted after the noise exceeds the regulation standard, which increases the conflicts with inhabitants near the construction site and threats to the safety and productivity of construction workers. To overcome the limitations of the current noise management methods, the activities of construction equipment which is the main source of construction noise need to be managed throughout the construction period in real-time. Therefore, this paper proposed a framework for automatically detecting noise sources in construction sites in real-time based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) according to the following four steps: (i) Step 1: Definition of the noise sources; (ii) Step 2: Data preparation; (iii) Step 3: Noise source classification using the audio CNN; and (iv) Step 4: Noise source detection using the visual CNN. The short-time Fourier transform (STFT) and temporal image processing are used to contain temporal features of the audio and visual data. In addition, the AlexNet and You Only Look Once v3 (YOLOv3) algorithms have been adopted to classify and detect the noise sources in real-time. As a result, the proposed framework is expected to immediately find construction activities as current noise sources on the video of the construction site. The proposed framework could be helpful for environmental construction managers to efficiently identify and control the noise by automatically detecting the noise sources among many activities carried out by various types of construction equipment. Thereby, not only conflicts between inhabitants and construction companies caused by construction noise can be prevented, but also the noise-related health risks and productivity degradation for construction workers and inhabitants near the construction site can be minimized.
In order to determine the proper treatment of the finished landfill, it is important to predict the trend and stability of the major sources of contaminant in the landfill. In this paper the fate of contaminant sources in the landfill is studied from various literatures by grouping the contaminants into waste, leachate, and landfill gas. One example site referred is Nanji landfill which is one of the representative finished landfills in our country and the trend of contaminant sources in this landfill at current stage is discussed.
