Advanced Adaptive Chain-Based EEACP Protocol Improvement Centered on Energy Efficiency in WSN Environment (WSN 환경에서 에너지 효율을 중심으로 한 적응형 체인 기반 EEACP 프로토콜 개선)

  • Wireless sensor network technology is becoming increasingly important with the advancement of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Consequently, various protocols such as LEACH, PEGASIS, and EEACP have been developed in an attempt to increase energy efficiency. However, the EEACP protocol still has room for improvement in terms of energy consumption during transmission. Particularly, inefficient paths associated with data reception settings may compromise the network's survivability. The proposed A-EEACP protocol optimizes data transmission direction around the sink node to reduce energy consumption and enhance the network's survivability.

  • Oil and gas industry is a unique sector with complex activities, long supply chains and strict rules for the business. It is important to use enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to address these challenges as it helps in simplifying operations, improving efficiency and facilitating evidence-based decision making. Nonetheless, successful integration of ERP systems in this industry involves careful planning, customization and alignment with specific business processes including regulatory requirements. Several critical factors, such as strong change management, support of top managers and training that works have been identified in the study. Amongst the hurdles are employee resistance towards the changes, data migration complications and integration with existing systems. Nonetheless, NOCL's ERP implementation resulted in significant improvements in operating efficiency, better data visibility and compliance management. It also led to a decrease in financial reporting timeframes, more accurate inventory tracking and improved decision-making capabilities. The study provides useful insights on how to optimize oil and gas sector ERP implementations; key among them is practical advice including strengthening change management strategies, prioritizing data security and collaborating with ERP vendors. The research highlights the importance of tailoring ERP solutions to specific industry needs as well as emphasizes the strategic role of ongoing monitoring/feedback for future benefits sustainability.

Holographic Properties in Amorphous As-Ge-Se-S with Ag Thickness (Ag의 두께에 따른 비정질 As-Ge-Se-S의 홀로그래픽 특성연구)

  • In this study, we have investigated the holographic grating formation on Ag-doped amorphous As-Ge-Se-S thin films. The dependence of diffraction efficiency as afunction of Ag layer thickness has been investigated in this amorphous chalcogenide films. Holographic gratings was formed using [P:P] polarized Diode Pumped Solid State laser (DPSS, 532.0 nm). The diffraction efficiency was obtained by +1st order intensity. The results were shown that the diffraction efficiency of Ag/AsGeSeS double layer thin films for the Ag thickness, the maximum grating diffraction efficiency using 60 nm Ag layer is 0.96%.

  • Ruminal ciliates are a fundamental constituent within the rumen microbiome of ruminant animals. The complex interactions between ruminal ciliates and other microbial guilds within the rumen ecosystems are of paramount importance for facilitating the digestion and fermentation processes of ingested feed components. This review underscores the significance of ruminal ciliates by exploring their impact on key factors, such as methane production, nitrogen utilization efficiency, feed efficiency, and other animal performance measurements. Various methods are employed in the study of ruminal ciliates including culture techniques and molecular approaches. This review highlights the pressing need for further investigations to discern the distinct roles of various ciliate species, particularly relating to methane mitigation and the enhancement of nitrogen utilization efficiency. The promotion of establishing robust reference databases tailored specifically to ruminal ciliates is encouraged, alongside the utilization of genomics and transcriptomics that can highlight their functional contributions to the rumen microbiome. Collectively, the progressive advancement in knowledge concerning ruminal ciliates and their inherent biological significance will be helpful in the pursuit of optimizing rumen functionality and refining animal production outcomes.

재조합효모 배양에서 비이온성 계면활성제가 외래 Glucoamylase 생산 및 분비에 미치는 영향

  • The effects of non-ionic surfactants (Triton X-100 and Tween 80) on cloned glucoamylase production and secretion in recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae culture were studied. Even though the extracellular glucoamylase activity was increased by addition of Tween 80 due to the increase of the cell mass, Tween 80 did not play a role in the increase of glucoamylase secretion. On the addition of Triton X-100 addition, the secretion efficiency was increased while the cell growth was inhibited. Triton X-100 was added to the culture broth after 24 hr of culture to minimize the inhibition of the cell growth, and consequently the glucoamylase activity in the culture broth was increased by 12%.

  • This study attempted to examine what effect knowledge management factors have on cooperative organizational culture regarding knowledge sharing depending on workplace types and occupations in order to seek for solution to increase efficiency and effects of knowledge management in the hospital organization. Key findings are as follows: For members of the hospital organization, the higher their recognition was in relation to 'concern and support of chief executive officer for knowledge management', and 'problem solution by specialists or superior in the organization and acquisition on the task knowledge', the more they worked as factors exerting positive effects on 'cooperative organizational culture regarding knowledge sharing'. And influence factors were different depending on workplace types and occupation.

  • This study utilizes Roland Barthes' semiotic theory to explore how interface design elements of beauty camera apps, such as filters and stickers, icons and buttons, layout and structure, function as symbols of self-expression, and their impact on users' social identity and personal image. Through in-depth analysis of applications like BeautyPlus, Ulike, MeituPic, and Faceu, this research found that these apps emphasize usability, visual appeal, and social interactivity in their design. These elements not only enhance user experience and operational efficiency but also reflect popular cultural trends and aesthetic preferences. From Barthes' perspective, these interface elements have become "myths" with specific social meanings, which are naturalized in daily use and promote the widespread acceptance of particular aesthetic standards. These interface design elements are not just tools for self-expression; they are also powerful cultural symbols that shape modern social interactions and visual culture. This research offers a new perspective to understand the interactions between individuals and society in the digital age, emphasizing the role of technology, culture, and social interaction in shaping contemporary human behavior and social relationships.

Evaluation of Nutrients Removal Efficiency in Effluents of Sewage and Wastewater using Microalgae (미세조류를 이용한 오·폐수 영양염류 제거효율 평가)

  • This study was intended to evaluate the removal efficiency of nutrients in effluents of wastewater using microalgae. Microalgae used in the culture experiment collected in stream and reservoir located in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Dominant species in prior-culture tank were Monoraphidium contortum, Scenedesmus acutus, Coelastrum microporum and Chlorella sp. Dominant species in synthetic wastewater culture under the 4000 Lux and 8000 Lux were Chlorella sp. and Scenedesmus obliquus. The removal efficiency of $NO_3-N$ under the 4000 Lux and 8000 Lux were 27.2%~88.1% and 63.0%~83.6% respectively. The removal efficiency of $PO_4-P$ under the 4000 Lux and 8000 Lux showed above 93%. Removal efficiency of nutrients of $1.0{\times}10^6cells\;mL^{-1}$ inoculation concentration was more higher than that of nutrients of $1.0{\times}10^5cells\;mL^{-1}$ and $1.0{\times}10^7cells\;mL^{-1}$ inoculation concentration. Microalgae cultured in synthetic wastewater removed 94.9% of TN and 90.0% of TP. The removal rate of TN and TP in synthetic wastewater were $1.961mg\;L^{-1}\;day^{-1}$ and $0.200mg\;L^{-1}\;day^{-1}$ respectively. Nutrient removal efficiency of microalgae according to kinds of wastewater showed the highest in the private sewage.
